BLM was always a sham, too bad it took extravagant spending to open the eyes of the public.

Just because there are two people (can't them) one here and the one in Canada who spent millions like there is no tomorrow doesn't mean they are all crooks!

Personally, I didn't like the group not stepping in to denounce looting and rioting, (fire, etc)....that really turned me off back then in Oregon. I'm a pacifist like MLK Jr was.

But there are others who want accountability from their own groups:

If she got the cash from the book, no one would question it, but that kind of money is unusual from book sales, even from a prominent figure in the news. However, the scope of Khan-Cullors’ real-estate “binge” has BLM activists demanding an independent investigation into the group’s finances: Hawk Newsome, the head of Black Lives Matter Greater New York City, called for “an independent investigation” to find out how the global network spends its money.
“If you go around calling yourself a socialist, you have to ask how much of her own personal money is going to charitable causes,” he said. “It’s really sad because it makes people doubt the validity of the movement

I'm boggled by the reason for the latest incident of police brutality: A gun mistaken for a taser???

I remember it happened once in San Francisco years ago, at a BART (commuter train) Station.

I'm convinced that right-wingers don't give a sh*t about police brutality unless it happens to them. They may claim they do, but when push comes to shove, they're willing to entirely dismiss it as not worth doing anything to solve the problem.

In a lot of areas, especially urban, the hazard of "Driving While Black" is a real phenomenon.

The irony of it all, is that this is the whole reason WHY they have these two implements on different sides of their bodies., so they can't take them out together, supposedly a safety check :surprised: But if I was freaked out over a "suspect" (for lack of a better word) someone who was fighting being arrested then I suppose it could not be so safe, since who would say, "well let's see now, am I suppose to take it from the right or from the left? which was which?/.........

Whatever the reasoning, it didn't work this time.

She (the officer) was a 20 yr veteran of the police dept. She can probably kiss her job goodbye.

Making the news today, although it happened in December, was another black motorist, who had the required license but in the form of a sticker on a tinted windshield so the cops who stopped him for not having his license plate clearly displayed - (they claim they didn't notice the sticker on the back window)
SEE VIDEO: (ITS UNBELIEVABLE!!)..... He was doing what most of us are taught, trying to stop (for the police questioning), but in a "lit by light" area just less then 2 minutes from the original stop:

Cops freaked out and wouldn't let him tell them anything about "the why of the lit place" (he wanted to be sure to get it all on film which he did) on camera. The cop in this case spraying the **** out of him, to excess - was fired but the Police dept. in this small Va. town said they have no plans on new training- :andy:

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/virgin...-handcuff-black-army-lieutenant-traffic-stop/

Police officers in Virginia held an Army officer at gunpoint, handcuffed him and doused him with pepper spray — all during an illegal traffic stop. Officials said Sunday that one of the officers has been fired.

Caron Nazario, a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, who is Black and Latino, is suing the town.
His Army Commander spoke up for him saying watching the entire thing on video, he was proud of his soldier for being so courteous, keeping his cool, and doing all the right things under such a situation!

He has filed a 1 Million dollar Lawsuit (its a Federal suit): against the Police
"A US Army officer has filed a federal lawsuit against two Virginia police officers who reportedly pepper-sprayed and assaulted him, before warning that he was risking death by the electric chair".

"The Electric Chair" for a tag on the window??

At the very least, the town of Windsor Va. as proud as that sheriff is of his officers thinking they don't need additional training after this?
https://news.yahoo.com/black-army-l...aC1ReOelu7jhPE8SjE06yfLCenORjMF_FSUPuH9aTIgyX

Body camera footage shows Mr Nazario, who was returning from a drill weekend, dressed in uniform with his hands in the air and telling the armed officers who are pointing guns at him: “I’m honestly afraid to get out.”
“Yeah, you should be”, officer Joe Gutierrez is heard replying, as reported by The New York Daily News.

Moments earlier, Mr Gutierrez was told the driver that he was “fixin’ to ride the lightning”; a nickname for execution by electric chair, according to the lawsuit and a police video obtained byThe Virginian-Pilot.

The judge in the Derek Chauvin case, turned down a request for "sequestration" of the jury by Chauvin's lawyers due to the current unrest going on not far from the courthouse due to another black man being shot to death by accidental pulling of the officer's gun instead of her taser as she thought.

Officer Kim Potter had been on the force for over 25 years. Perhaps the Dept. of Police there need to seriously examine their stop and check policies for people who are just undergoing a routine check whether its insurance related, or the vehicle not displaying the proper sticker & tags.
Officer Kim Potter came to the defense of the other 2 officers at that time., not that they even needed helping? This wasn't a dangerous criminal, he was barely out of his teens and frightened of the cops.
I would be TOO in this day and age, if I were black and young.

Officer Potter has since resigned her long career. I would imagine we'll hear about a lawsuit eventually, which will likely name her as a defendant.

If so, this man would still be alive. had the police simply let him go. After all they knew his tag number, his name, where he lived, etc. They could have gone after him anytime once he reached his home.

Now a 20 yr old is once again gone due to reckless endangerment of the police -

It appears his mom is white - not that this makes a difference, because as we know, most black youths are targets -and there is racial profiling going on:

https://www.newsweek.com/who-kimberly-potter-officer-who-shot-daunte-wright-suspended-1582974

"It is my belief that the officer had the intention to employ their Taser, but instead shot Mr. Wright with a single bullet," Gannon said.
Wright reportedly told his mom, Katie, on the phone that he was being pulled over because of air fresheners she had hanging from his window. She said she heard the officer ask him to get out of the car and that he would explain why after the 20-year-old exited the vehicle. Then, said she heard a scuffle and someone yell, "Daunte, don't run!"
When she called back a few minutes later, she said his girlfriend, who was reportedly in the car at the time, said the 20-year-old had been shot. Officers tried life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead on the scene.

"The ACLU-MN has deep concerns that police here appear to have used dangling air fresheners as an excuse for making a pretextual stop, something police do all too often to target Black people," the ACLU of Minnesota said in a statement.

Civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump told “Good Morning America” on Tuesday that the officer’s role blows open an often-used argument that police-custody deaths result from a lack of experience or training.
“She was a training officer — so it’s not about training,” he insisted.
“It’s about implicit bias. It’s about giving the same respect and consideration to people of color that we give to white American citizens,” he said.

Once again, the Marxists BLM.Antifa are exploiting a terrible accidental death to their advantage...to raise millions more & to go looting, burning, killing again with no consequences. When will this 'race-baiting' end? It was a terrible tragedy but it was not a 'racially motivated killing' as the mobs are portraying it. Just as Chauvin's case was an accidental homicide, there is no need to 'jin up the crowd' & create more racial tensions.

Sad that the BLM.Antifa mobs were are violently protesting once again don't have one shred of compassion from the numerous law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty....many of the perpetrators are black men.
Many of the law enforcement officers were black, hispanic but not a tear shed for them. They were either gunned down during a traffic stop, stabbed during an arrest or run down by vehicles accidentally and deliberately.

This list is from the past couple of months. Just a reminder of how dangerous their jobs are.

Deputy Sheriff Christopher Wilson Knight (stabbed)
Sergeant James Smith (gunned down)
Lieutenant James Kouski (hit by car)
Police Officer William Evans (hit by car)
Trooper Chad Walker (gunned down)
Trooper Joseph Gallagher (hit by car)
Corporal Kyle Jeffrey Davis (assault)
Police Officer Eric Talley (gunned down)
Police Officer Kevin Valencia (gunned down)
Border Patrol Agent Alejandro Flores-Bañuelos (hit by car)
Police Officer Gary Hibbs (assault)
Officer Jesse Madsen (hit by car)
Police Officer II Jose Anzora hit by car)
Captain Justin Williams Bedwell (gunned down)
Reserve Deputy Constable Martinus Mitchum (gunned down)

Can we stop the mob madness and get back to reality where it's the cops who are being killed and not black men. Floyd's death was a tragedy, so is Duante Wright's.....but let's not burn the entire country down again.

Finally, the defense begins their case today.

There is a lot that Chauvin's lawyer will bring forth: Causation, etc.

Should be an interesting next couple of weeks and I hope Chauvin takes the stand but highly unlikely according to legal experts.

Obama did nothing regarding police reform even when he had the 2 branches of gov't. JO'Bama introduced the massive crime bill which set forth mass incarceration of young black men with the 'prison for profit' scam. Harris was known as the 'top cop' & sent women to prison for their children's truancy & put young black men in prison for having small amounts of weed on them. Then she laughed that demented cackle she has when admitting on a radio show that she regularly smokes pot. This is who that woman is & why she never got more than 3% of the vote.

Why do you always have to blame the Right for everything David?

Why do you make ridiculous claims that all police are racist? Or that people who support the police are racist?

Both of these victims Floyd & Wright resisted arrest. When I worked f/t I was stopped many times at night & I always comply & am respectful. Other white people I know cop an attitude with the police & they are asked to step out of the car. A traffic stop is an extremely dangerous situation for police; that's where many are gunned down & if not killed immed, the criminal then runs them over with their car. A very painful death.

Both of these deaths were accidental. Nobody wanted them to die but it happened. BLM.Antifa once again exploiting the situations so they can go 'smash & grab tvs, etc'. burn down police stns, cars, throw bottles, fireworks at police & kill innocent black people. But you don't have a problem with THEM.

I don't think this time around the people are going to allow this thugs to burn the country down again.

It's a terrible situation all around but it was an accidental shooting as anyone can surmise when viewing the bodycam. She clearly says 'taser taser taser' as per her training. Like Floyd, who had a violent background & served 5 yrs for brutally assaulting a woman in her own home, Wright too had a violent background. That's likely why he resisted arrest & tried to flee.

EXCLUSIVE: Daunte Wright had a warrant out for his arrest for attempted aggravated robbery charges after 'choking and holding a woman at gunpoint for $820 in 2019,' court papers reveal

Daunte Wright was shot dead by Brooklyn Center Police Officer Kimberly Potter Sunday after he was pulled over for 'expired license plate tags'
DailyMail.com can reveal that Wright, 20, had a warrant out for his arrest for attempted aggravated robbery charges at the time
Charging papers allege Wright and a second man, Emajay Driver, attended a party in December 2019 at the home of two women in Osseo, Minnesota
The women allowed the pair to crash after they said they didn't have a ride home
The next morning, after one of the women went to withdraw $820 in rent money, Wright allegedly held her at gunpoint and demanded she give him the cash
His bail was originally set at $100k with orders that he should not contact the victim or any witnesses, refrain from drugs and alcohol and not have any weapon
It was revoked in July last year due to his 'failure to not possess a firearm or ammunition' and not keeping in touch with his probation officer
DailyMail.com has also learned that online speculation that Wright did not know there was a warrant out for his arrest is false

We are now hearing the 'other side of the story'....the defense side and already, they are strongly contesting the 'causation' part of Floyd's death.

TOPLINE A forensic pathologist called as a witness by Derek Chauvin’s defense team testified Wednesday that he believes George Floyd died of heart failure caused by underlying conditions, contradicting the testimony of multiple expert witnesses for the prosecution who said the former Minneapolis police officer’s prolonged restraint of Floyd caused his death.

Dr. David Fowler, Maryland’s former medical chief examiner, said he reviewed Floyd’s case after he was approached by Chauvin’s defense attorney Eric Nelson with the help of fellow experts in a group known as the Forensic Panel.

Fowler said he concluded Floyd suffered a “sudden cardiac arrhythmia” because of his heart disease “during his restraint and subdual by police.”

The medical expert said Floyd’s drug use played a “significant” role, citing the fentanyl and methamphetamine found in Floyd’s body at his time of death, and suggested (for the first time in the trial) that Floyd may have experienced carbon monoxide poisoning from exhaust fumes from the police vehicle.

The Washington Post described him as “among the most respected forensic pathologists in America.”
