My daughter is almost 3 1/2 and has receptive and expressive disorders. Her speech is affected and we think it is because of this. She has trouble understanding what is said and trouble expressing her needs, feelings, ect. My hope is that she will come out of it soon. It's like I'm looking down a dark tunnel and hoping to see the end but can't.
Is there a time she might start to speak and act more functionally? Can that be seen in her chart? Any help or insight is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
