I am completely new to traditional astrology but just drew up a chart. My asc in this chart is Taurus. Can I please confirm that this is what would be termed my house ruler for the year?

in order to confirm LOY aka Traditional LORD OF THE YEAR
your natal chart image is required to refer to :smile:
as well as the chart image you say you just drew up

I used an online site at Astroseek to draw a tranditional chart so I don't know if that is classed as natal or what.

Is it based on your birth time, date, and location? Then it's a natal chart.

If Taurus is on the ascendant, its planetary ruler is Venus.

I think it is showing the asc changing through years and currently Taurus. Apologies but trying to understand it as much as I can myself as previously on a different forum been accused of not trying to understand things myself before asking on forums.
