Will I have a date for the party

My office holiday party will be this coming January.

It usually is at the manager's home, but this year they're going to do it at a local restaurant.

I don't really want to go by myself. If I can get a date I'll go, but if I can't I'd rather make other plans for that weekend.

My question is "Will I have a date for the party?"

I think this would be a 5th house question, if I'm not mistaken.

5th house is in Leo, ruled by the Sun.

1st house, signifying me, is in Taurus, ruled by Venus.

Sun and Venus aren't aspecting each other.

Should I take this as a "no" answer?

The ascendant is at 5 degrees - so is it too soon to know?

Thanks.

Since its a party you are taking about, and a date to escort you to that party, I'd use the 5th whole sign house:

-by non-horary Magic 8 Ball 5th = Virgo = Mercury = a yes answer (note that this "date" could equally be simply a friend from work, or another one of your friends; we are not talking about romance here)

-by Modernist Lunar Horary, Moon's next conjunction is with Jupiter which = a yes answer to the question (same note as above)

-by Ankara horary:
:querent = 1st house = Taurus = Venus
:quesited =5th house = Virgo = Mercury

:Mercury flows away from Venus = - testimony
:Moon flows toward both significators = + testimony
:each significator (Mercury, Venus) is detrimented by placement = - testimony
:significator (quesited) Mercury is in a pitted degree = - testimony

By Ankara the - testimonies predominate: so this would be a "no" answer to the question: HOWEVER, this negative answer MIGHT only relate to a "date" (ie a "romantic date", a "boyfriend/girlfriend" type date, etc) for the party, rather than to an escort (such as a friend) to accompany you to the event.
