Fake News

Seniors organization files a complaint with FCC against CNN. How long before TimeWarner orders them to totally clean house? Those producers had better not think they could easily find another job -- I heard the Producers Union is about to go on strike.

And the hits keep coming, folks.

Remember all the polls saying Hillary was going to win by a landslide? :w00t:

I tend not to believe polls either way unless I know who was polled, how many people, demographic, what questions were asked and how were they phrased. I was only ever called once by Gallup many years ago and I don't even remember the questions but I did say I needed more information before answering so they hung up. Most of these MSM anti Trump polls have many more Democrats answering so of course there will be low ratings. There have been polls over the months asking Trump voters if they still approved and something like 95% or so still do because he is fulfilling campaign promises despite obstruction by Dems and RINOs (Republican Establishment Elites).

There was a poll in the last few months, don't know who did it and it was only mentioned in the context of a political conversation but it's worth noting. A group of Bernie supporters were asked their opinions of Trump and only 20% approved. Then they were asked about a long list of Trump's policies BUT weren't told they were Trump's. About 80% approved.

OR you can look at it this way: 2,626 to 487

Nationwide, Trump won 2,626 counties
Clinton won 487....

“The Associated Press finds that Clinton won 487 counties nationwide, compared with 2,626 for President-elect Donald Trump,” the article says.

The news agency said that it “considers parishes in Louisiana as counties in election tallies” and that “Virginia’s count includes 95 counties and 38 independent cities.”

The AP’s totals for Clinton and Trump are very close to what PolitiFact.com reported. The nonpartisan fact-checking website found that Clinton and Trump won 489 and 2,623 counties, respectively, based on preliminary county results from David Leip’s “Atlas of U.S. Presidential Elections.”

As for that last claim in the email about New York, the numbers are largely correct. There are 62 counties in the state, and, as the email claimed, Trump won 46 of them and Clinton won 16. Clinton’s lead in the five counties that make up New York City is exaggerated, though. She received about 1.5 million more votes than Trump in those five counties, not the “well over 2 million” claimed in the email.

[so all of those votes you are speaking of, she won the extra votes in New York and California. That is the only place that she had a huge lead. In the elitist, progressive, widely democratic coasts.]

Actually, she DIDN'T. She lost because she went for the popular vote and coasted, neglecting to consider the electoral colleges. That was a huge tactical error on her part.

And Trump and his staff were smart enough to focus on the electoral votes and not the popular vote. He gave her California and New York because he didn't need those electoral counts if he focused on the swing states she was ignoring.

So it is silly to gloat about her popular 'win.' Because it is not a win in any way, shape or form.

And I think the last 5 Democrat election losses spell that out pretty well.

We keep hearing the Dems screaming about what a loser this president is, and how horrible he is doing, yet they are continuing to lose elections, even now.

So what’s the latest tally?

At Fox and Fox News, 10 percent of the claims we’ve rated have been True, 11 percent Mostly True, 18 percent Half True, 21 percent Mostly False, 31 percent False and nine percent Pants on Fire.

And as for CNN? It has the best record among the cable networks, as 80 percent of of the claims we’ve rated are Half True or better.

Fox still beats CNN in terms of honesty and integrity.

Right. 'High Education' = which means students who were brain washed and indoctrinated by the left wing.

I went to UC Berkeley. I was brain washed into being a progressive for decades. Took me awhile to break free and think for myself.

Higher education does not mean higher intelligence.

Ha ha ---yeah RIGHT. CNN, the bastion of truth and integrity. I think we have all seen what phony BS they have been airing lately.

They had to even make their own admissions that they have been publishing untruths.

Their producers have admitted the Russian collusion story is nonsense---they run it 24/7 for ratings/$.

This is largely due to gerrymandering, and there were numerous voting disenfranchisement laws passed in many southern states to discourage voters who would have voted democrat, largely African American voting populations. Also, if 1.5 million more Americans wanted Clinton to win, why is that dismissible? Do they not matter? Many of the republican strongholds in Orange and Los Angeles county are largely wealthy white elitist neighborhoods and cities. The working class populations generally vote democrat. I live in LA county for reference. Also if California literally has more citizens than the entirety of Canada why can't we get more of a say in picking the president? It's just logical to me. Everyone here is not actually a walking stereotype, there's plenty of people here who don't live up to the elitist idea most people have of LA.

I strongly think the fake news news is in itself fake news. It's hype to get you paranoid. Of course channels like CNN and Fox are after the money and not in it for the purpose of the job. But consider the Trump admin is getting rid of unbiased sources like PBS while at the same time telling you you can't trust all the major news outlets. Why is that? Education is a low priority in this country, people are kept uneducated and worked like crazy and you don't have the time nor the means to understand any policy much less know how to read bills and navigate politics.

Trump and admin don't care about anyone much less the common people, he's a business man and he's inherited all the wealth that he hasn't bankrupted. They're gonna gut our resources and snatch up national protected land for the real estate and pad their pockets. His family has ties to the KKK, his dad discriminated against African Americans in his housing complexes, Trump himself has had numerous scandals involving sexual harassment to say the least. What makes anyone think he cares about the common man? He's never been one.

Mind you I didn't care much for Clinton and I do agree stations like CNN are elitist and of course have a largely liberal slant that is tone deaf to many Americans. I think Clinton would have been more of the status quo. But it doesn't take much to see that this admin is what it is.

It is 'dismissible' because our Democracy is built upon the electoral college.

Why should a super crowded urban area get to decide who wins the Presidency just because they are living in a more populated city?

That would dismiss all of the needs and concerns of the rural voters.
