Cronic skin problems 6th house

Interesting to see your Saturn (skin) is unaspected and has no outlet to release its energy, kind of stuck if you like so my guess is that you need to release those pent up energy in order to heal.

Your progressed Venus is in Capricorn (conj. your Asc) and how appropriate that you are questioning about your beauty (skin).

Yes, your natal Moon in the 6th is a bit `targetted' by oppositions.

Just putting astrology aside for the present, a naturopath I know tells me that skin problems originate in the liver, and the liver is our filter, and is responsible for detoxing our body. You may have some kinds of sensitivities - perhaps to petrochemical products, just as an example - which make you feel stressed. Stress can also develop when emotions are not able to be appropriately expressed. Your Moon being in opposition to 12th house planets can lead you to bury all your emotions in your body, from where it is they create system stress.

I advice you to try using foot pads for skin problems. They are detoxifying and could help a bit. But don't go for very cheap ones. It helped me little bit, better than anything else. And do eat only food without E-s. Also cut on conservated products.

What kind of skin problem do you have? Indeed, emotions are probably the issue, I have psoriasis, and it comes and goes according to my emotional situation. I've been short of money for a couple of years and always fretting about it, so my psoriasis was mad and I was afraid I would eventually look like an alligator; last year I managed to make a bit more money, enough to give me a breathing space, and the psoriasis simply vanished, completely. :pouty:

If the cause of the rashes is from the inside, then no medications will do anything for you.

Have you tried changing your diet? This may or may not help. Yeast products are really bad for acne. I knew this guy once who had awful acne - all over his face - and it was really bad. He'd been on masses of antibiotics and other medications for 10 years, but with no real improvement. When his girlfriend went on a yeast-free and sugar-free diet for her anxiety and depression, he joined her on the diet to keep her company. Her condition did not improve, but his acne cleared up for the first time in 10 years. When he spoke to his skin specialist about it, the Dr said: "Well, of course we know that yeast contributes to acne." But this same guy had been prescribing him long courses of antibiotics. Go figure.

Moon in the 6th indicates a sensitive body, so it's a matter of finding out what your body is sensitive to.

Many natural practitioners (including myself) believe skin diseases arise from the attempt by the living system to externalize and move toxins, etc, from the vital internal organs out to the periphery (the skin); also, the connection of the skin to the nervous system is fundamental: both skin and nerve cells originate from the same embryonic tissue (the ectoderm); this close connection is shown by relationships between Saturn (skin, hair, etc) and Mercury (nerve tissue) Chronic skin conditions are very difficult to cure (they are easy to temporarily suppress by strong drugs, but this ultimately makes the overall situation worse over time) Problem in curative work is that temporary, detoxifying aggravations are too often unacceptable to the patient, added to which is concern by the patient over their appearance (for example, a woman with a chronic skin problem, being under curative treatment, develops an extensive red, blotchy eruption all over her face: how long do you think the woman will accept this? Suppose this externalization, under treatment, would need to last 3 months, then a cure would come in: how many women-or men for that matter- would put up with such a thing for that length of time? Most would go to a regular MD and get a drug to suppress that eruption, and all the curative work which had been previously done, and which brought the underlying condition to the surface, would be lost) This example is not theoretical-it happens all the time in the fields of natural healing, and is yet another reason why curative therapeutics of chronic skin conditions, is such a challenge, both to patient and to practitioner.

This is a process i have been going through for about three years. I am now two months cortison free....and apply herbal preparations and oils to my skin. I have changed my diet......changed chemical products. Removed as much stress in my life. Taken up yoga, and meditation. I paint a lot....from a sunconscious thread. I also have seen naturopaths and have regualar kinesiology sessions. I have been detoxifying mentally emotionally and physcially and prob spiritually as well.

The process has involved a few dark nights of the soul....and confrontations with eczema on my face and neck. I used the cortisone when my mental state really needed it. People I found often did not see my eczema though it seemed so obvious to me.

I now have foudn how delicate a body system I have...and it really needs to be treated kindly. Tomorrow I have an art exhibition of the paintings done over the last seven years...the time I came to really know myself.

flea, I just had to reply to tell you that I found your above post really inspirational. From poor health to better, then best health is such a journey, but not without its challenges, and its unexpected positive outcomes - such as your art.

I also can really recommend kinesiology as one modality which works at all kinds of levels - physical, emotional, spiritual. Benefits may take time in coming, but I have found it to be a bit like opening a mystery parcel, as one never knows what will be revealled next!

And that's the way to go, with the application of the principles, natural healing remedies and internal mental/emotional (and spiritual) vibrational energetic modifications, as in Flea's case outlined above.

it truely was not one thing....but having a principle of living and slowly changing things to come into line with a foundation of self love. It has been the most amazing journey...hard and confronting, but so worth it....now I am just about the other end. Still have some neck eczema but nothing too much and silk scarfs are soothing. So much fear came up to be released....that was the toughest part. Especially when I had hair falling out....and the most chronic dandruff you have ever seen all over my head. One ten cent hole was right on GV23...the crown chakra.... go figure!

I have Moon, Venus, and Chiron in the 6th. I've also had problems with bad skin since puberty. No doctor has ever really been able to help it. The thing I've learned on my own is that I am VERY sensitive to diet (6th house). I have to eat a diet with NO dairy, sugar, trans fats, fried foods, or refined white flour, and very little fruit. I eat lots of vegetables, raw cabbage, tofu, beans, nuts, brown rice, tea, and a few fruits like grapefruit.
I also have stagnant chi in my facial area. Dermarolling my face (acupuncture needles on a roller) really stimulates the lymph and blood circulation. Also, exercise helps with circulation and a good sweat can flush toxins from your skin. I also have to keep my face very clean.
So, I have to use diet and topical treatments.
As long as I do all of those things, my skin looks great. But if I let just one slide, it all goes to hell.
An afflicted 6th house is a strong indicator of a sensitive body, and issues regarding diet. Those of us with an afflicted 6th need to take better and more careful care of our bodies than do most people. My advice is to seriously evaluate your diet. It is very important to eliminate ALL refined sugar, even the small amounts hiding in soups, ketchup, processed foods, etc. Also, try getting some exercise and freeing up the energy of that unaspected Saturn.

Hi Ezquiel,

I have really bad skin too, so I empathize.

Looking at your chart, I think it's wise to make a connection to Capricorn ASC, which is the filter/blueprint for which everything else in your chart is laid-out. The ASC also reflects one's physical qualities, and being in a later degree of Capricorn, it's also in the Virgo Decan, meaning you need to strive for balance between pursuit of Pleasure (Taurus) with the negative influence of this being pursuing to excess, and pursuit of Complete Control of One's Desires (Capricorn) with the negative influence of this being stridency and and overbearing sense of discipline leading to dullness and miserly qualities (sort of like the dryness of Capricorn personified). Virgo encourages a natural balance between these two, so perhaps you could operate from this place in your ASC? Maybe consider seeing what you're doing as a balancing act rather than strictly an act of limitations so as to bring about health. Because Virgo is naturally predisposed to be concerned with health, and Capricorn is naturally given to creating structures boundaries and limits, its seems like you are naturally given to being able to physically balance yourself and you should see what your doing as being in harmony with how you are.

I know that seems difficult because sugar and the other products you mentioned are so enjoyable but it might also be that with your Moon in the 6th house, you might feel a wax and wane in your values regarding what you should do to be nurturing to yourself, sometimes feeling the overwhelming desire to be fully immersed in this act, but then also feeling like this act completely removes you from feeling connected with others. Because food has a connection to our emotions, and our relationship to our Mother, or our primary care-giver, when someone like you has the Moon in the 6th house this relationship becomes very prominent and very important. When you were an infant, you were blessed with the capacity to only eat when you were hungry, and never at any other point. The other thing was that you only ingested one kind of substance, ideally this being breast-milk or some strongly-fortified baby formula. What this represents is a kind of purity or simplicity, which can be associated with Virgo or the 6th house. It might help you to see that pairing down your food choices to just the basics, even getting a bit constructive with it, which would be helpful considering them placement of your ASC, and something which would come naturally to you.

I see other people suggested many things to you, but looking just at your chart I might say that getting down to the basics is the most important, and "everything in moderation," being the attitude that you want adopt. Then I suggest personalizing it. You have an abundance of fire so I might reach for more cooling foods. Cucumbers, salads (with light amounts of additions, focusing mostly on the vegetables and using oil, vinegar, lemon and few cleansing herbs and spices, such as cayenne, garlic, clove, and coriander, very simple easy to purchase and find choices, and it doesn't require a huge change in your daily routine and it's not very expensive.)

That doesn't mean that you can't reach for other foods. You can eat "warming foods" such as carbohydrates, but I would stick to whole grains. If you decide to indulge in carbohydrates, drink a glass of lemon water plus cayenne pepper to immediately aid the body in flushing this rush to your system and insulin spike. Now, I'm not saying you can therefore indulge all you want and then just drink this stuff afterwards, but let's say you went to a friend's house and they had a fruit tart, and you had a piece. Just go home and be sure to cleanse your body. It's kind of like ok, here is the treat for my tastebuds and now here is the treatment for indulging.

That way you're not only promoting a healthy body system, but also a healthy mental attitude towards yourself and how you treat your body, with the potential for this to ultimately alter your chemical state. When that happens you may actually be able to indulge a little bit more.

Here is a book I found that really helped me with my skin for awhile, because it also focuses on rebalancing your hormones, which is also a concern with the Moon in the 6th house. With so many oppositions to your Moon it might good to refocus a lot of your attention on balancing your hormones, which comes into focus partially through the dietary changes suggested but also be recapturing the essence of what I spoke about above with the body's natural rhythm and approach to nutrition and nurturing.

Here is the book: http://www.everydiet.org/diet/fat-flush-diet

It's primarily focused on encouraging weight loss, but you can also use the dietary plan and small supplemental additions, to rebalance your hormones.

Hope this helps some!

Skin is a very speicifc issue for the individual....and best advice about diet comes from professional people in my experience. It takes a long time to evaluate each individual case.

6th house does appear to hold some clues at least.

  • Don't wash your face with soap or anything else - seriously. Just use a little bit of water once a day, preferably at night then in the morning just wash around the eyes. It's that simple. It's not dirty to do this. It's pure and normal. Dirty is being brainwashed by the media.

  • If you really think you need to use a soap the only good soap is mud soap from the Dead Sea. You usually will not find it in stores. You don't find the best stuff (the truth is always hidden from everyone) in the major supermarkets. You need to go online and buy it direct.

  • Don't waste your precious $$$ on a skin specialist who adheres to a certain pharmaceutical doctrine. Just look in their eyes when they're trying to explain away your problems that don't make any sense but you listen anyway because you believe you'll get a better quality of life soon.

Actually, the difference with being "dirty" from the media or being hygienically clean on your own time is not separated very well judging by what you said... cleansing your face and skin on a regular basis is totally normal and not an object of the media. Having the conscious habit to remove oil and bacteria buildup from your face every night and/or morning is beneficial to everyone.

The best remedy I've ever put on my face was Burts Bees Green French Clay Masque, which consisted of Ingredients: Kaolin (green French clay), peppermint leaf, bentonite (natural clay), calendula flower, comfrey leaf, rosemary leaf, horsetail leaf, chamomile flower, comfrey root, sage leaf, rosemary oil, lavandin oil, eucalyptus oil, peppermint oil. Instructions include substitute water for:

  •
    [*]Carrot Juice for Mature Skin
    [*]Tomato Juice for Troubled Skin
    [*]Grapefruit Juice for Oily Skin

So in conclusion, I'd like to point out there is no real debate on whether one should simply eat better and maintain a super healthy diet to rid of acne problems; and the same for hunting down the best expensive facial moisturizer on the market... it's about finding balance for your personal lifestyle and learning what accommodations should be made.
