"The Irishman", Frank Sheeran

Martin Sorcese's movie, "The Irishman", is ostensibly about the gangster Frank Sheeran, but the movie got the facts wrong, it would seem. Sheeran was a hit man mobster who was called "The Irishman" because he associated with people who usually only associated with other Sicilians. Sheeran was large and dangerous and fearless and reliable, so he ventured into the inner circle of the mafia mobs and was hired to kill people. Mob code for killing people was "painting houses".

Sheeran had a long and friendly association with Jimmy Hoffa, the notorious head of one of the most powerful labor unions. When they met, Hoffa said, "So, I hear you paint houses." Hoffa was massively hooked to the mob once he asked for mob help with a difficult union election. The mob provided muscle, and Hoffa was forever in the grip of the mob. He would loan the mob money for their gambling operations in Nevada using the union dues which he collected.

Frank Sheeran's birth time is not known, so the chart gives a noon birth. There is a kite with Mars-opposed-Pluto at the center. If the Moon is nearly accurate, then there is a T-square, Moon/Mars/Pluto, overlayed upon a Grand Trine, Sun/Uranus/Mars.

Sheeran had no criminal involvements until after World War II, where Sheeran was deeply involved in many dangerous missions. He said he belonged to the squad that was told by Gen. Patton to "take no prisoners". He was involved with much killing in the war. After the war, he became a hired killer for the mob.

He met Jimmy Hoffa and accepted job offers from Hoffa. He became a hit man for Hoffa himself. Hoffa became Sheeran's best friend. "He's the finest person I have ever known.", said Sheeran.

Sheeran was on his deathbed when he gave a deathbed confession to his lawyer. Sheeran was a Catholic, and he confessed in order to avoid damnation. Most amazing of all of his confessions was that he killed his best friend, Jimmy Hoffa, on the command of mob boss, Russel Bufalino. Sheeran said that if he didn't kill Hoffa, another mobster would kill him, and if Sheeran refused to kill his friend, Bufalino would have Sheeran killed.

Bufalino was afraid Hoffa would squeal about Bufalino's activities due to his dissatisfaction about how he was treated by Bufalino and others.
The Mars-Pluto opposition upon the Sun/Uranus/Mars grand trine describes a potentially dangerous person. Fearless, ruthless, powerful, and deadly is described by such a formation.

When Sheeran murdered Joe Gallo in Umberto's Clam House, he simply walked in and shot Gallo then left. Most guests were confused, but one guest recognized him many years later as present in the restaurant, but she did not see who actually did the killing. He walked in, and then he was gone, she said.

Sakoian & Acker in The Astrologer's Handbook say that Mars-oppose-Pluto in extreme cases can represent "the demoniac, the individual of extreme violence". "There is the tendency to want to rule and remake others." "In extreme cases, there can be thievery and violence."

After he murdered his best friend, Sheeran never went a day without a stricken conscience.

Sun in Scorpio/Moon in Aries is not a bad lot (unless you put a Taurus Rising in there -- and then it's awful!!) so his conscience continuing to bother him is no real surprise. But if you're in the mob, you paint the house they tell you to paint, I guess.

Sheeran's version of what happened to Hoffa has always rung true somehow. So Jimmy is probably not buried in the end zone of any stadium somewhere.
