Hi Bradderz,
As promised, a response!
You have Venus in the 8th house.
Me too! Mine is also in a Mutable Sign (read: flexible, changeable), Virgo. Yours is in Gemini. You can be fickle and changeable in your affections, and flirty with many people at once! This may put some interested people off, but this is who you are, you are a natural flirt.
It is however, in the 8th house, as I said. This is a Fixed House (read: stable, immoveable, stubborn). This means that while you have a propensity to flirt, your intentions, when you move in for the "kill" are serious and hard to mistake. People know when you are joking and when you are not. This may also put some people off, your intensity once interested that is.
I would imagine you have hard time understanding your own affectionate nature for this reason- they appear to be going in different directions. Especially with your Taurus Sun, you'd like to just have your feelings and for them to stay put and for you to have control. But you're flightly. You will have to learn how to balance this, and it will come in time. There is a reason for every placement in a chart, no matter how contradictory or frustrating. Being a Taurus, with a strong connection to Venus (it is the ruler of that Sign), but with Venus in the house of Scorpio, you're likely to feel a unique pull, and your love style may be a bit in opposition to your ego nature. Simply put, Taurus focuses on love and pleasure, whereas Scorpio focuses on sex and intimate experience. These two, while connected and like one another, are opposites. Perhaps this inner tension is something you must have to understand and channel before a relationship can come along.
It is no wonder however, that you are so focused on romantic relationships- your Sun is in the 7th house. Venus in the 8th makes you also remarkably focused on the physical side of relationships- you need sex to feel loved! (And if you haven't had sex yet, you'll understand what I mean once that happens). So here we have a Taurus, a Venusian type, in the 7th house, the house of Venus, with Venus herself, the house of Sex. Plus you have Mercury essentially straddling both houses, meaning you think about this stuff a lot!
You must remember however, that this is your unique astrological signature. What worries you about relationships does not matter to many other people. You will feel more impatient about them, and once you are involved in one, you will learn more about yourself than many other people do in relationships. I also have my Sun in the 7th house (plus a Moon opposition, which you don't have, but same Moon House placement), and I used to CRAVE relationships (crave being a good word for Venus in the 8th). Now that I've had a few, I've realized just how tuned into relationships I am versus others, and I've calmed down some. Perhaps you should consider meditating on some of this intensity you will undoubtedly bring and experience in relationships, and focus it towards yourself. This is challenge for folks like me and you, and well worth it, for it draws the right people to us.
You do have Jupiter conjunct Venus, a good indicator of many relationships, but in this case, it simply amplifies your 8th house Venus nature. It may be, Bradderz, you will need to learn to satisfy yourself before anyone will be able to satisfy you in a relationship. People may innately know that you have too much of a void of self-awareness to be a in relationship NOW. All this means however, is that WHEN the right relationship comes along (and it will), you will have MUCH to offer.
You also have Chiron in the 8th. Be wary of trying to use relationships/sex/intimacy for true spiritual awareness, or as a quick fix for what you really desire: Union. This is a key word for you this lifetime. You must, however, recognize, that with the Moon in First, you must honor YOURSELF first. The Union begins with U! (teehee) Moreover, I don't think your Mother had such a deleterious affect on you, according to your chart she supported your identity, one that YOU assumed prior to your physical manifestation. There is a lesson in Mars in Cancer, with a Moon in the first house. Someone with your Natal line-up may need that gentleness, especially with Scorpio Rising and Pluto Conjunct Moon in the first house!
Be well Bradderz, hopes this helps some.
