Lord of the hour

Ok,
sunrise here today is 5:23am Sunset, is not till 11:19pm Daylight savings so...

daylight starts at 4:23, And sunset and 10:19.

Now, Today is monday, so at 4:23 till 5:23 the lord of the hour is the moon,

but what do i do when i get to the 12th hour of day.. do i continue into the night hours even though the sun has not set since it follows sidreal time not modern time?

I would ignore the *real* position of the Sun when looking at the Lord of the Hour; just follow the chart, because the Hour Lords do not change with the seasons, they simply repeat over and over.

However, looking at the chart itself, if the Sun is still above the horizon at your latitude (even if the Hours chart tells you it's night), you will have a diurnal chart; and a nocturnal one if the Sun is below the horizon.

It sometimes seems a bit paradoxical; try not to think about it over-much!

So in your example:
Sunset: 60*(10+12)+19 th minute
Sunrise: 4*60+23 rd minute
Day length: 1122 minutes
Hour length: 1122/12 = 93.5 minutes

First hour: 4:23 - 5:56.5 (356.5 th minute)
