Mathematics 1.618 & Sacred Geometry

It has been said that those who study 1.618 and Sacred Geometry can't have any bearing on astrology.

1) i'm a mathematician, Plato and Pythagoras are the building blocks to 1.618, it is featured in many buildings

2) Angles and aspects are related, in mathematical study!
http://mathworld.wolfram.com/GoldenRatio.html

Indeed astronomers are against each other regarding 1.618 and pentagons at the moment, why would this be a smear to an astronomer, mathematician and astrologer....hell a lot of buildings have aspects that you may find in astrology, don't smear me if i follow Plato and Pythagoras, they are building blocks or Sacred Geometry in mathematics!

There is huge dispute with this going on in the science world about pentagons, the history goes back to Greek Masters!

http://physicsworld.com/cws/article/news/18368

So what if i have an interest in Sacred Geometry?

Have you ever thought of placing two Pentagons in direct opposition in geometry and joining all aspects?

Hi JupiterAsc,

I like you, you are a friend, but i will be frustrating, i must not give the final bit of puzzle away, i'm sorry, i have my oaths, but not to any secret society!

So i talk to you now, but only visual mathematics, lets now look at initial image of the Mandelbrot set and a fractal universe....no pentagons there are there?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandelbrot_set

Strangely by chance MathWorld have the right amount of swirling circles in its second graph of THE ENVELOPE CARDIOID, please note that Mandelbrot Set in essence shows a Cardioid and a ball on the outside, the Envelope Cardioid shows it on the inside.
Count where the swirling circles cross inner circle, does it give enough points for two opposite pentagons?

http://mathworld.wolfram.com/Cardioid.html

If you work it out, you will be able to change a cardioid into pentagons and shapeshift!

Lets make it easier, showing just one pentagon, no doubt you will find the opposite one, graph on attachment.

Look up image of Golden Spiral, think how it would look joined to mirror image?

Graph to help on attachment....oops mustn't forget Venus retrograde orbit, must we?

For clarification, who said that studying the golden ratio or sacred geometry means you can have no bearing on astrology? It took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about. I would have recognised the number immediately if you had written 1.61803 (I tend to memorise decimal places in blocks of five). I am not, however, a mathematician. I just think math is sexy (almost as sexy as formal logic)! Anyway, I see no reason why geometry and astrology should be exclusive, especially considering that the "original geometry" (as a concept, not a system) was devised as a tool to talk about astrology.

Hi Mark,
it's high up on this forum.

The secular acceleration of the Moon is poorly known and may not be constant, but i study Delta T, Universal time and G.M.T, it is important for me that accurate eclipses are shown.

The reason is G.M.T., and accurate charts within reason shown within dates in history that go back LONG BEFORE 1500, these margins are very important to ancient dates.....So i can be a bit of a devil with accurate eclipse data.

There are some idiots that wish to show G.M.T is out by 100's of years, they are truly idiots and unrelated to this forum, but i'm very touchy about accurate placings of Eclipses, thus dispute that didn't mean much, i was polite.

But accurate eclipse placing is very important to ancient dates.

Example would be Battle of Halys, well documented, confirmed by Nasa, but very interesting, as it happened in evening, shortly before sunset...the point is you can't see eclipse if the Sun has set, G.M.T. isn't out by much.....sorry it is an astronomer thing, but i trod on anothers foot!

My Graph below....it helps if i'm accurate to where an eclipse falls when looking at ancient dates.

So do we have a master key shape in visual mathematics regarding 1.618, please note this is where i shut up!

Cardioid, Pentacle, Decagram, Dodecahredron, Golden Spiral, Mandelbrot set, it would be nice if all shapes fitted into one?

Graph on attachment!

I'm not familiar with Mandelbrot, but you could probably get most of those out of an expansion of the "flower of life" (which contains all platonic solids and a few more shapes). To be clear, what I mean is a circle that is surrounded by six other circles, the centre points of which lie on the perimetre of the original circle, 60 degrees from each other. This "shape" has very much to do with the connection between geometry and astrology. Think of the Sumerians, who, with their sexigesimal numbering system, cut the sky into six divisions of sixty.

P.S. Metatron's cube is an example of the application of the "flower of life."

Hi Mark,
Yes i love the flower of life, but because of extreme 5th harmonic activity on my birth chart, my mind is fixed on 1.618, there are no signs or houses in 5th harmonic charts, thus is known as a minor aspect, but what if your quintile and bi-quintiles fall in most houses?

I have to laugh, too much for me, i like to call it Vitruvian Man syndrome, so i have a very active mind, yet i'm very badly disabled, i can't walk for very far and have personal care, don't feel sorry, i can handle myself in my own little world.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitruvian_Man

It always makes me laugh about the Great astronomer Kepler, who thought the structure of the universe was based on geometrical shapes, by 18th May 1618 he had grasped the logarithmic pattern in planetary orbits...ha ha..1.618!

I'm always drawing about Platonic solids and 1.618, another drawing on attachment, sorry if it sends you cross eyed, ha ha!

Hi Mark,

I Looove puzzles, buy the one below:-

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander's_Star

I'm now drawn to a topic that JupiterAsc has archived, however history is complex, i must be moderate!

I must do work on my website i share, but soon i'm going to look at at the Madrid Train Terrorist Attack....you can guess what i will show!

Good luck in your work. Currently, I'm involved with calculating a true and complete aspect list. So, if you come across some aspects based on the golden ratio or some other interesting thing like that, please do post about it.

P.S. What would you say is the most interesting thing about the number 19?

thank you for this insight Monk - I have not previously linked Golden Mean Spiral with Venus orbit - Venus cycles are of particular interest to me, since I discovered intriguing correlations with Venus Synodic cycles encoded within natal charts of family members.

Apples are linked to Venus/Aphrodite so if you perchance slice an apple, it is most interesting to do so horizontally - at the equator, rather than through the axis or poles and then note the pattern of the pips and core

Who,? out of interest.

May I ask if you have employed the Harmonic Values,Golden mean, inverse Golden mean and other values such as,Pi and e with your chart, just curious?
Or looked at charts of say Kepler,Da Vinci,Dali etc, with these values.

Hi Jerry RR,

When Moderator stops debate is the end of debate, however because i never had a chance to defend myself, i'm allowed to start another thread explaining Sacred Geometry, i'm not allowed to draw debate into another thread, as others have done, i can not and will not name members!

I will not get involved, try private message to JupiterAsc.

Curious about your quotes thats all,why would I p.m JASC?

Moves on.

We don't have a space for numerology nor geometry, as far as I know, but there should be no rule violation if you start a Sacred Geometry thread in the General Chat forum. That's where I do most of my posting because I have little to say about all the usual astrological stuff.

There is no doubt i think in a different way, i would never try to dominate, however how you feel about my birthchart, so what, i have a Grand Quintile, however i want to be part of a group, i study world history....can i be wrong? Yes i can but i'm studying a hell of a lot, i'm only human, please note i'm a master of juggling, i'm not a complete master of sacred geometry, astrology or astronomy, but i'm a Jack in all trades, but moderate in decipher, how can i be judge on an era different to our own, regarding religion?

But i try to give accurate alignments, with evil doers, they may look to ancient incompatible idea's about religion that are out of synch with the modern world, but don't try to burn me at the stake for revenge, i'm not trying to be leader, only to try to make you think in a different direction and be moderate in what you find.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juggling

Example...funny isn't it that Martin of Tours is Patron Saint of Soldiers, his feast date is 11th November, relating to World War One, highly topical to where we are now....be moderate with religion!

We seek to understand ancient concepts!
