progressed jupiter turning retrograde

I'm looking for information about Jupiter turning Retrograde by progression. It will progress retrograde in January of 2012 for me.

My Chiron progressed retrograde during January of 2009. This was an extremely hard time for me. My ex had left me the previous summer and from about that time until the next spring I was horribly "wounded", I presume during the time Chiron was stationing by progression.

My Jupiter is in the 7th house and is my chart ruler. I believe it is stationing by progression now. I have virtually no close relationships at this time. I recently broke it off with my best friend of 6 years, after realizing she was completely draining me. I have been unable to meet a single guy to date, despite undergoing immense internal healing since my progressed Chiron has been retrograde. The few friends I made at work last summer have all ended up being untrustworthy or incompatible with my needs. This is a very lonely time for me; I am accustomed to finding my greatest source of hope, love, and faith in the "other".

Has anyone else experienced Jupiter progressing retrograde? I understand that it will work on an internal level rather than outwardly. I have also read that it can give healing abilities, the capacity to bring things back to life. This could work well; I expect to be receiving my RN around the time it progresses retrograde.

Thank you in advance for any advice, links, comments. I have attached my natal and progressed charts with current transits.

Re: progressed jupiter turning retrograde

Hi, I've seen jupiter can't harm enough because this planet always give good times with generosity, but if it is retrograde then what is expected is not coming yet, jupiter going back means you will have to face some things again, but what is really going to happen is the sum of all aspects and influences in your natal chart, progression, transits, eclipses, new moon, etc.

I have Jupiter retro natally, and you may well find that you can take or leave socialising in the future. Maybe a more internal spiritual expressions will come to the fore.

Re: progressed jupiter turning retrograde

Thank you guys. astrologer50, you might be right, I've been less and less interested in the outside world.
I've recently read about "shadow periods" that occur when the planet stations retrograde. The planet's energies are at their peak but get "snarled up" and cannot be expressed, leading to doubt and inner questioning. I think that may be what I am experiencing... I've got about another 8 months to go.
Interestingly, as Jupiter rules my moon conjunct ascendant, I have also been feeling more reserved in my usual sunny self-expression. I no longer feel the need to reach out to others and spontaneously express my thoughts and feelings all the time. I wonder if I will undergo a total personality change as well as spiritual.

I found this because Iím looking for info on the progressed Jupiter retro. Iíve been struggling very deeply with a change/loss of spiritual identity. I traced it back to Jupiterís station. I also have the south node in Pisces which is traditionally ruled by Jupiter. Additionally, my MC is in Taurus in the 9th and forms an anticion with Jupiter in the twelfth. Iím wondering if this internal conflict and sense of loss will continue... My progressed new moon protects in a couple weeks so I am hoping things will lighten up a bit. I would much appreciate any info on this topic from anyone who knows. Thanks in advance 🙏

Re: progressed jupiter turning retrograde

My progressed Jupiter went retrograde just last month after having stationed retrograde for several years. So, I don't have a huge amount of knowledge at this point regarding it. But, I did want to point out a few things that I think have been influenced by this retrograde. I do agree with the other posters that I could "take or leave" social situations. I've always had reclusive tendencies. All my planets but one are located on the bottom half of my chart (save Neptune, which is situated right above the cusp of my 7th house). My moon is in scorpio and my ruler (mercury) is located in the very private, subterranean 4th house, along with a super tight venus/saturn conjunction. So, I tend to be private and home loving. But, in any event, I find myself craving home and privacy/peace more than usual, as of late.

Interestingly, we just had a solar eclipse (Dec 26) conjunct transiting jupiter and occurring right on the cusp of my 8th house. This eclipse also occurred directly opposite my natal jupiter, further emphasizing the retrograde progressed jupiter theme that occurred recently in my life. I will tell you that I have always been a very spiritual person. But, I feel like my spiritual beliefs and insights have compounded significantly since progressed jupiter turned retrograde. I no longer feel as though I need societal approval or understanding for my life choices. I also no longer require external/societal proof that my life will turn out the way I want it to. I no longer care what society opines about my life direction and choices. I feel a huge sense of connectedness to God and the universe and I really don't need any other confirmation that I am heading in the right direction, other than this.

Also, I recently had an intuitive flash urging me to look up (via internet) a man I knew as a child (he was the father of an acquaintance I had in grade school). This man has since died (saw his obituary online). But, he appears to be communicating with me as a spirit guide of sorts. I always felt a strange affinity to this man when I was young. He was a very warm, loving family man when I knew him. Weird, I know. But, this intuitive communication began occurring directly after the solar eclipse in my 8th house. Through my communication with him as well as other intuitive messages from various sources, I have come to the conclusion that everything will be just fine in my life. Although I do seem to be experiencing some delays to my original life plans, I feel that everything will be just fine in the end.

I hope this is understandable to those who are looking for answers and good luck to all. If you want specific examples of what I'm speaking about, just ask and I may be able to accommodate. I was scared of my progressed jupiter turning retrograde. After all, jupiter is ruler of all the good things in life and, retrograde, he may not "deliver what was promised". But, I believe he does still deliver, there just may be some delays to his delivery. But, the spiritual insight he provides in the meantime, while retrograde, is so precious and just priceless.
