The songs I listen to change a lot. I pretty much listen to a song 50+ times then find another song. I'm a Libra sun, Libra rising, Aquarius Moon and have Scorpian influences (4 planets in Scorpio).

Ok, guys how do I do this? Are these songs you all like and you are using aspects in your chart to explain why you like them? Or finding songs that match your aspects? That would be cool if you could tell what songs/music some liked by looking at their chart!

Yes there is a way to tell what type of music a person likes. However, that taste is more generational rather than individual. Music is also influenced by environmental conditioning. So it might be better to look more at the lyrics matching a sign rather than the rhythm. Good luck!

I do dancing and the music of my soul is... Middle Eastern...
any assosiation with the desert,the sound of wind at night in a desert, splendor ( think,Istanbul,Perisa ) etc.
the second closest music to me is spanish,any type,flamenco,samba,salsa,tango,anything deep,intense,passionate yet fragile, where u bleed,tragic,...

don't know what aspects show this though

woudln't neptune be associated with the desert,orient,the mystical sound,and neptune is on my acsendant which is scorpio ( hidden,sound of the distance ) ?

This is not for the light hearted since I find her voice to be very heavy and it just pulls you down in her state,which I love,very dark place...it speaks to my Pluto-Moon. She sings about how her lover died yet she doesn't realise it '' give me a reason to believe you are gone,I see your shadow so I know there all wrong'' and goes insane from grief :(

Very true, generational but I figured that. I was wondering how is everyone matching up songs to their aspects? Is there a method to do it or are you guys just guessing based on your favorite songs/artists?

I am new to astology, and this is how I did it.



Look at your planets in each sign.

2. Google what it means.

3. Find key words that it repeats

4. find a song to represent it.

Example:

1. Sun in Leo in first house

2. Info from a website:
"LEO represents courage and overcoming fear. LEO's exhibit great courage many times in their lives, living to overcome many a mishap and standing proud because of it."

from another website,
"self-confidence, vitality, courage, self-respect, pride and dignity"


3. Song about self confident, courage , respect.

4. Possible songs?

My Sun is in 9th house so I'm usually listening to Ethnic Music or World Music.

I really couldn't decide which song I can't write here because I love many songs from different countries.

Sun-Mercury-Mars in Cancer, Jupiter in 4th house

I love melancholic music very much. And mostly similar sounds to my culture, so Mediterranean and Middle Eastern songs I listen to much. Also nostalgic ones. I research and find songs most of the people forget about.

Mars in 9th house opposition Neptune

I usually listen to music on road. That's my therapy. I watch the houses and the mountains while the music goes on and totally forget about myself and time. Meditation.

Sun-Mars 9th house opposition Neptune again

I always listen to the music which has a philosophy and an aim in it. I listen to the people who are angry and has something to say. So post-punk bands of 70s and Riot Grrl bands of 90s really suits this idea. I love listening them too. I usually love woman musicians and women bands. (Saturn-Venus aspect? I don't know, but maybe Moon-Sun aspect it is)

Well I feel strange sometimes because I love all kinds of music. I can write lots of here. I was always like that, other people are identifying themselves with one or two kinds of music but I am like characterless. I connect this one to Uranus and Neptune in my 3rd house. Changeable effect. One day I love this one, the other day, it changes.

I dont know if this question fits here,sorry if its offtopic but i couldnt find any thread similar with music,so i always wondering lately if there is a method in astrology to predict(?) or see if a band will renuite,and what kind of chart needed for this,i mean band's chart,member's/ex-members charts separately,what exactly?:wink:

For example im very curious to see if there is any chance for Guns N Roses to renuite with the original line up anytime soon,whats your opinion,we can see somehow that?

I agree that the generations tend to like the same sort of music but not always.

I have Venus sextile Pluto and prefer the black music, soul and rhythm and blues. Motown. I also like gospel music with Venus conjunct Neptune in Libra and spiritual music...... I also like staccato rhythm and drum beat, Venus conjunct Mars in Libra..... My Saturn in Leo 5th can also indicate black music......I guess....

I am mad about lots of different music with nearly all my planets in Leo and Libra......:biggrin: and a Moon in Taurus.... .I cant live without it and it is always on......
