Ok...so I joined this new workplace in the first week of September.
On Wednesday, my mgr told me that he has certain new projects coming up and wanted me to act as the lead as he is very happy with my performance and that I was doing an excellent job.
Now the issue is, I'm not interested in the new role, because with that role comes lot of responsibilities and kinda 24*7 support.
Right now we are focusing on having a baby, so dont want to take up additional roles which will increase the pressure and tension for me.
However, the company that I work for, may force me to take up this new role.
Reason being, the client mgr is a very tough guy and he rarely likes ppl. So if he liked me, my company is not gonna let go of the opportunity easily. So I'm worried that I'll be forced into taking up this role even if I'm not interested.
So tell me, will I be taking up this job opportunity with new roles and responsibilities?
