I am interested a lot in astrology but I am still learning. I believe in astrology because it is logical to me. I study psychology and I just wonder a few things...this is maybe more a philosophical thread but I just need to ask these questions...

1. astrology is so obvious to me ... can and will it be ever scientifically proven? Why can it not be proven (yet)? Does it even need to be proven?

2. how does astrology look at genetics? Do we, from the astrological viewpoint, inherit genes or karmas, astrological energies, or whatever it is called? Or both? Like, are genes actually astrological dispositions? I hope you get what I want to say...if not, doesn't matter. Just say what you think...

In the West astrology is considered on the level of fairground entertainment
and in fact anyone, including yourself, may call themselves "an astrologer"
even if lacking in knowledge or experience of astrological practice
that's why astrology is considered "unscientific"
also the proliferation of online amateur astrology forums
that are mainly concerned with profit from advertisers
and less concerned with reliability of members random comments
adds to the astrological mayhem :smile:

however
in India astrology IS officialy recognised by the State a science

clearly
there ARE western astrological practitioners who are reliable with predictions
and who are busy earning a good living from their skills
and who offer courses as well

Study the natal charts of families
study many generations of the same family
using reliably timed birth data
and
it becomes obvious
