Relocation chart, anyone?

Born Feb 3,1949 4:44 pm Temple, Texas

moving to San Jose, Coasta Rica in February. Planning to paint and write. Will this location be advantageous and happy for me?

Thank you for any insight.

Hi Jane,

I checked this out for you on Astrodienst. There is a free chart available called "Astro-Click travel" that shows areas that are representative of conjunctions in your natal chart: http://www.astro.com/cgi/aclch.cgi?nhor=1&btyp=acm

I attached what I found for Costa Rica. It looks like the closest aspect is North Node to MC. This is interesting, because I had recently made a big move to what turned out to be my North Node/MC point - another tropical paradise: Maui.

How I discern North Node to MC is finding one's life's work. And if you don't know what it is, it finds you. This is not an easy place to be. If you do not have a clear path and plan ahead of you, things will happen to steer you in the proper direction - and they will not necessarily be gentle.

I believe that Astrology is my North Node path, though if someone said that to me before I moved to Hawaii I would have told them they were nuts.

I discovered it here not because it looked fun, or because my friends were into it, but because of necessity. Shortly after I moved here I found myself in a serious crisis (the unexpected death of a loved one) that left me grasping for answers.

Several unusual synchronicities that occurred at that time seemed to point towards astrology, so I looked into it. Astrology may not have provided the answers I originally wanted; but it has since since opened up a new way of seeing the world that helped me transition and brought me peace of mind.

Anyway, I'm blabbing about my experience because you may have a similar one in Costa Rica: probably not as bumpy a ride as mine - I don't subscribe to the thought that bad things need to occur in order for positive change to take place - but life may take some unpredictable detours.

It will not be easy, it will not be instantly gratifying, it will not be what you expect: but I believe it will be worth it.

Oh, and here's what Astro has to say about it (click on the line in the web map to get an explanation of the point):

Moon's Node/MC Line (Moon's Node in Zenith)
The small circle on the line indicates the place where the Moon's Node is in the zenith. This is where the maximum of this line effect is felt.
In these regions, you will discover support for your ambitious projects. You get together with like-minded individuals and work out a common strategy. If you are seeking support for your ventures from the masses or social recognition, you can count on the necessary majority vote.
Your target is worldly success, even when occasional uncertainties threaten you to want to crawl into a hole and hide...

Re: Relocation chart, anyone?

There is plenty of interesting stuff about this if you are an astrologer. But if not, they it will be too complicated to get into without an appreciation of astrology at at least a basic level.

Most people are interested in luck increasing. Please be aware that generic programs like astrodienst look at general factors which may or may not be applicable to you. Only your doctor, I mean astrologer, can tell "if they are right for you" as they say in the drug commercials.

Re: Relocation chart, anyone?

...aaaand, here's the the rest of my snipped "generic" advice from Astrodienst

"...Moon's Node/MC lines give you an understanding about the meaning and purpose of this earthly existence. You come closer to fulfilling your destiny. People who have trouble detaching from the parental home and their past can get the necessary impetus to make it happen."

Hope that helps...
