Sun conjunct Chiron in the 9th house

Hey there folks,

I am not very experienced in Astrology (yet), but I'm trying to practice my skills on my own chart :)

So please help me on this one:

I can see that my Sun conjuncts Chiron in the 9th house, and all I know about the aspect,is that it's supposed to be in the chart of someone that have the potential to became a healer,or in that way,the wound of Chiron becomes a way of self expression via the Sun. It is supposed to be a powerful aspect, right?

Could you tell me more about it? What does it means specifically in the 9th house? I do love philosophy, religion and all that stuff, and am even thinking that my best career path would be something to do with medicine. I'm not sure if that is because of this aspect though.

And please take a look at my chart,I'm attaching it bellow, and tell me what influence does it have on the general picture?

Thank you! :D

Thanks for the links Astrologer,I've red most of them already.
I'd certainly like to learn more about Chiron, but I'd be thankful if someone could explain the influence and the manifestation of this aspect minding the whole chart. As far as I know,it's possible that the chironian traits are going to be manifested trough the Sun,and as we know,Chiron is the great artist-healer.
I'm worried about Moon squaring Chiron in the 5ht,which is supposed to mean that I would be overly emotional about certain people.

This is a good explanation of the Moon/Chiron aspects in general.I found loads of things to be true about myself.

What I'm asking here,is to please consider the whole chart and,if possible, give me at least a hint on how are the Chiron aspects(which I have quite few)are working together with the other aspects of the chart, and how are they influencing the chart in general.

I could tell the meaning of the aspect itself, but can't see the whole picture, and that's what I'm trying to do,find a way to link things to each other.

Perhaps I can help you here. I have been doing my own private research on Chiron for around 16 years. When I talk about it, I attempt to integrate other areas of your chart, because it is somewhat meaningless unless you do. I will attempt that, but keep in mind this is only after a brief look at your chart.

Firstly, your Chiron's sign - Gemini - is a key to the nature of the wounding which you (and your whole generation) have been born to deal with. It is to do with the mind - education, thoughts, words, communication. The wound is hidden amongst there somewhere. Perhaps you find that you have difficulty expressing yourself clearly. Your Sun's conjunction simply brings the Chiron placement `closer to home', so that it becomes integrated into how you go through life. The description of the Sun-Chiron conjunction being a healer is the highest expression of this conjunction, and may refer to the way in which you eventually express what it is you have learned through having this conjunction.

The 9th house Chiron seems to describe those who are drawn to spirituality, religion, philosphy/ideas. (One woman I used to know had Chiron in Sagittarius and in the 9th house. She kept stumbling from one weird religion to another even more extreme. She was looking for The Truth, but never discovered that she was the Keeper of Her Own Truth. She died a couple of years ago still giving her power away to spiritual vampires - she seemed to be drawn to them. But she was an extreme case, given she had Chiron in 9th and 9th house ruler.) Perhaps in your case your `task' is to find a way for connecting to others honestly & clearly through common ideas and/or philosophies.

I would not call your Chiron squared to your Moon, as the orb is too wide. However, your Moon is in Pisces, which is a highly sensitive and deeply emotional Moon placement. It would certainly feel like a Chiron-Moon contact, even if technically it is not. Those with Moon in Pisces experienced an emotional disconnection from mother whilst growing up. The mother was most likely either emotionally shut down, addicted, or very distracted by her own life. This leaves a deep wound to do with feeling left out or disconnected - emotionally - from the rest of the world.

The opposition from the 3rd house of Saturn and Uranus to natal Chiron is in part generational, since many people born from 1951 to 1989 have the natal opposition to Uranus. The Saturn-Uranus conjunction creates an internal tension which requires some kind of outlet - work, creative activity, spirituality - and in your case, I believe that this outlet needs to be in connecting with others (3rd house). Perhaps a sense that you have few real connections with other people is part of how your Chiron wound manifests.

The opposition between Chiron and Saturn describes a struggle with the `establishment' - in it's broadest manifestation - or a separation (even in a sense of this, rather than physically) from your father. Some of those with the Chiron-Saturn opposition have fathers who are older than the fathers of their friends. Some with this aspect have their fathers removed from them whilst growing up. This can create a reaction in later life of not wanting to be part of any kind of `system', or alternatively a person may crave belonging to a larger organisation. In your case I suspect the former, as with Sun-Uranus opposition you are likely to rebel rather than conform.

[And as to bringing the whole of your chart into this.......................
that is something of a tall order. You do realise that we who do this are volunteers, and what you are asking for is a bit beyond what many of us are prepared to give away for free. I'm prepared to help and guide someone, but I expect you to pick up from where I leave off.]

Hi Stella, I won't try to add to R4ven's very insightful interpretation of the 3rd/9th planets.

I find it useful to start with the elements when looking at a person's birth chart because of the way each person's consciousness does seem to favour one or two elements (or ways of adapting to the world) over the others. All of your personal planets, and also the AS and MC are in either Air or Water. Air and Water are opposites in that they symbolise opposite ways of evaluating, i.e. through thinking or feeling, so you will tend to have developed one of these at the expense of the other. Its not possible to see from the chart which is your favoured function as they are too evenly balanced - even if I assume that you are female from your name and generalise that you may have therefore gone with Moon and Venus more than Sun and Mars, it is still not clear cut.

So part of how the Sun Chiron conjunction fits into the rest of the chart depends on where you are coming from elementally - with a well-developed thinking function that will find it relatively easy to work with that Gemini energy, or from a well developed feeling function which will involve more work. If you are a feeling type, Chiron in an Air sign could generate self-criticism from within

With regard to your considering your career, one thing you may or may not have come across yet is the tendency for planets around the MC or in the 10th house to reflect urges that were strong in the Mother, or whoever played the role of socialising you and being your world during your early years, but which s/he felt were unsatisfied (although they may have been present in her behaviour nonetheless). I mention this obviously because of the Mercury Mars conjunction in Cancer on the MC, which suggests a strong minded Mother (or whoever) from whom you might have inherited interests that are not entirely your own, or even be looking for a career that will be a Mother surrogate for that thirsty Pisces Moon. This would be especially important for the Sun Chiron conjunction because it occurs in Mercury's sign. Also, with Mercury ruling Venus, Mars ruling your descendent, and the Moon ruling the MC from vulnerable Pisces in the 5th house of romance, it could have implications for your relationships too.

I haven't sifted through the chart factors properly, but wanted to share what jumped out at me. Incidentally there's a great article about Chiron on the astro.com website, and a really good book is Barriers And Boundaries, also by Liz Greene.

I know a person who has Sun conjunct Chiron in 9th House.
He is a spiritual man, has been all his life.
I would say he understands a way to healing and to peace.
He uses his 9th House of higher learning in this pursuit.
I think Sun with Chiron can highlight your pain/wound in a positive way. By giving the person understanding of how to address it.
I suppose when this placement is aspected, may trigger advancements in this matter?
Your Mars conjunct Mercury on your MC is pretty signficant.
also your Grand Trine to Pluto and your natal Moon.
Wow interesting.
How does this Grand Trine energy work for you?
