Traditional Astrology For discussions on Traditional Astrology only. (Note: Typically, traditional astrology is defined as using techniques developed prior to 1700 by astrologers from the Hellenistic, Persian, Hebrew, and Renaissance eras. In general, it relies on Ptolemaic aspects (sextile, trine, square, opposition and conjunction) though there may be some exceptions, and always excludes modern planets (Neptune, Uranus and Pluto,) as well as any asteroids. The focus is less on what would be considered modern psychological chart interpretation and more on prediction. Members who wish to explore a combination of traditional and modern ideas should feel free to start a new thread in an appropriate forum for further discussion.)

Question Behind the starry veil, or metaphysics

Aristotle said Gods can't see the particulars. Weird hope of being at least half an accident, and for exactly that, being free. While stoics defended the all-necessity, Horace wrote "scire nefas", Omar Khayam, that would change the insensitive dome of the heavens, with his own hands, if he could, ironized everything as a herd of mules between two bulls - below and above.

For Plotinus, the theather of multiple stages which is the whole earth, for Hermes Trismegistos, we could escape the seven tyrants of the sky...

In reading the future of everywhen, this paradoxical, impossible, wondrous and astonishing thing, which I don't doubt, still can even get boring sometimes...

Oh astrologer, what is for you beyond the dark leafs of the night?
