If he has fever and cough he should definitely be tested and treated.
You have to insist with the authorities.

Iatsahab, I am not qualified to make a medical diagnosis, I can only say that he should go to a doctor, he almost certainly has the virus, he has the symptoms.
He should be kept isolated from the rest of the family in the meantime, if you haven't already done this.
Remember, only a small percentage of those who contract the virus die, many have what seems like flu and recover easily.
But he needs to see a doctor. Can you get him to a clinic or a hospital?

when u say he has the virus...is it based on the charts u r saying? are charts also confirming this?
yes i talked to a doctor from nearby dispensary. he has given acetaminophen for fever 6 hourly. and test is scheduled for day after tomorrow if temperature still persists. i am pretty much scared for him as he has type 2 diabetes also. i really hope he comes out of illness soon.
the place of my residence does not have much sound hospital services...

I feel for you, and can understand your worries.
My comments are based on your words, not your chart. My country was the first hit by the virus in Europe and we had a terrible time, so I have an idea of what is happening, and my sympathies are with you.
Protect yourself and the others in the family. This is very important to do.
He is vulnerable because of his diabetes, but he can be cured.

would be helpful if you confirm the age of your father
as well as any long-term health issues your father has

yes sure...he is 65 years old...he is hyper-tensive and suffering from type 2 diabetes and some mild seasonal allergies.

Also,Since this coronavirus has emerged in our state, i have never let him go outside. He stays at home only.

focus on providing optimum dietary nutrition

that is best way, given the age of your father
and also that you said he has type2 diabetes
as well as some mild seasonal allergies
