You're gonna need that sextile to help you deal with the Pluto square Mercury.

So...maybe you want to expand your question.

It does trine your Mars but it inconjuncts your Merc....which will be assaulted by that Pluto.
It's nice to have the Mars trine, but Merc also has a strong influence in your 7th. So you can't assume modification.

If you can post your natal & transits for Nov 1, 2017 on this thread, I think you will see more of what I'm talking about.
