Geological activity on Pluto??

tWTNhZM.jpg

On the NASA website:

“We’re close enough now that we’re just starting to see Pluto’s geology,” said New Horizons program scientist Curt Niebur, NASA Headquarters in Washington, who’s keenly interested in the gray area just above the whale’s “tail” feature. “It’s a unique transition region with a lot of dynamic processes interacting, which makes it of particular scientific interest.”

Interesting that Pluto orbits a point other than itself:

More arguments against it's planetary status, but still interesting.

Also interesting is how Pluto rules sewers and it's color is brown. :pinched:

http://www.vox.com/2015/7/7/8907583/pluto-color-red-brown

Scientists believe that the color is the result of interactions between methane molecules in Pluto's atmosphere and a specific kind of ultraviolet light, emitted by both the sun and distant galaxies. When this light hits the methane, it triggers the formation of solid molecules called tholins, which are reddish brown in color.

Anyone here have significant Pluto placements/aspects?

The excitement makes me want to cry a little! I can't wait to see her!
I won't sleep, I have to be up to see her!
To think that I live in this time, I am so lucky!
I feel like a champion of some kind and I want to scream like the girls in Elvis' audience!
And I just love how I am kinda going through the same thing she is right now!
It is a good opposition to the Sun!
I can't believe we have come this far!

Update for 12:30 p.m. ET, Tuesday, July 14: Today's the day.
At 7:49 a.m. ET (1149 GMT), NASA's New Horizons mission team celebrated
the space probe's scheduled close approach of Pluto.
However, the team will not know until this evening if the spacecraft reached it target.
The probe is scheduled to send a signal to Earth at about 8:30 p.m. ET tonight (July 14, 0030 GMT July 15).
NASA TV will broadcast coverage of the "Phone-home" signal event from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. ET (0030 to 0130 GMT)
.
From 9:30 to 10:00 p.m. ET (0130 to 0200 GMT), NASA TV will broadcast a press briefing on the status of the spacecraft.
You can watch both of those events here: http://www.space.com/17933-nasa-television-webcasts-live-space-tv.html

The most detailed photo of Pluto reveals mysterious heart-shaped region that scientists are excited to study

pluto-17.jpg

The image, which New Horizons took yesterday (July 7)
when it was less than 5 million miles (8 million kilometers) from Pluto,
shows a large, heart-shaped feature on the dwarf planet's surface.

The bright "heart" is about 1,200 miles (2,000 km) wide, NASA officials said.
To its left lies an 1,860-mile-long (3,000 km) dark patch along Pluto's
equator that mission scientists are calling "the whale."

Stern said there is evidence that it snows on Pluto, though it's different than the snow that occurs on Earth.

I knew it!

Everything about any object has astrological value IMHO, let's wait until we get the full list of her qualities and then it'll be easier to understand :)

So, she has no craters, so they think there's never been any impact and they say her mountains are very young, which means that her surface is still geologically active. :) So she knows how to avoid danger and/or she regenerates. Her heart is half red, half blue :w00t: Hence the either-or attitude? :joyful:

It's going to take them a year and a half to collect enough information.

PS I hope none of this is fake

NASA is a FRAUD.

So called Pics of "PLUTO" are a FRAUD.

Just like the Famous "Moon Landing" ha ha ha ha

These days its SO EASY to con the public

Believe in NASA , believe in their FAKE images.

Oh Dear. How easy to con the Ignorant Public.

By the way, how many different images/views of Earth have you found???

yeah - HOW MANY DIFFERENT VIEWS OF EARTH have you seen, given that there must be so many,
given that there are SO many satellites,
supposedly orbiting out there.

Let's see them !!!!

ALL the DIFFERENT ones....from "NASA"

SHOW THEM>>>>

(Lets Go!)

From what I know, it is impossible to leave Earth and survive longer than a couple of hours. There is no space craft that can help.

I always thought of NASA as a fraud and suspected this was just another cold war move. However, who's to say that they haven't known what the planets look like for thousands of years?

Besides, it makes perfect sense for the bad guys to bring the fourth horseman into play now.

I still wish that's what she looks like!

I am using an app called NASA's eyes

So there's a part of her that remains hidden. I have to say that i am happy that she still got to keep some privacy.
