When progressed planets are conjunct one another

I am trying to understand what it means when a progressed planet is conjunct to a natal planet. My Saturn is conjunct my Saturn in my second house and it appears that neptune,pluto,jupiter and chiron are doing the same thing,but obviously not in my second house. Could that mean lack of progress or a new beginning in something?

Although Jupiter's motion could progress enough to have an effect at a later stage in life, the planets you mention have a very slow orbit around the Sun. Therefore, they spend long periods of time in one sign......and on any degree within that sign. As progressed astrology works from the calculation of their daily motion = 1 year of life, there is going to be little movement from their birth positions. Their effects could be said to show a life-long character/realm influence.

You need to look at the exact within 1 degree aspects to natal planets from progressed Sun through Mars to get a truer idea of the effect upon one's life during any particular year.

I think you need to download a natal chart with the transits and progressions around the outside of the wheel. Astrodienst will do you a free one.

You have had your saturn return a few years ago now... Its when transiting saturn reaches your natal saturn... Its usually a time of change and re assessing... Most people i know either get divorced or married or start haveing children around this time...

I would think a progressed saturn would do something similar!

Do you think I read it wrong? I may have. I am still getting the hang of all of this. The first progressed chart I got was from Astrowin. If I read it wrong, please let me know. I'm not asking for detailed explanations unless you feel like it, I just would like feedback on what I might be doing wrong. Thank you .

progressed planets/charts are more 'internal' changes, evolvements rather than 'events or external' matters. I don't read prog charts as stand alones it's more important to see where these planets are moving in the natal chart

Your natal chart is like a photograph as unique as your fingerprint, BUT the 10planets in the sky have not stayed where they were in your natal chart, they have all moved. Predictive astrology is mostly maths where those 10planets are now and the mathematical aspects they make to your natal charts ie: 180'=opposition, 90'=square, 60'=sextile and 120'=trine.

So your personality, grows, develops, changes, matures as we get older, this is reflected by your sun sign changing from it's natal position to the next sign along, so does your Asc and MC sign change. In fact from sun to mars especially are important, as the outer planets really don't move much, using a 'day for a year' secondary progressions.

What's the difference between Transits and Progressions?

The most important of progressed planets is of course, sun & moon and then upto mars, as the outer planets hardly move by progression. Now like with transits, solar arcs --- it's what these progressed planets are doing NOW by mathematical aspect to your natal planets and Angles that is ultimately important.

Just for future reference, please 'try' not to miss off the asepct grid at the bottom as it contains important info. If yoiu go to Extended chart selection, you reduce the 'image size' to smalled 63%. I also like to reduce the orbs down to 80% as they are a bit too wide for my liking...

I didn't know that about mars being included as one the more important planets in a progression. It would make sense though since it's one of the faster moving planets.
