Re: Sun and Jupiter in Taurus

Hi cailin. You'll need to post your chart. There are instructions somewhere on the forum.

Both the Sun and Jupiter symbolise the capacity to find one's life meaningful, significant and somehow 'blessed by the gods', so to speak. Having both these planets in Taurus suggests that cultivating an appreciation of the Taurian values will allow the Sun and Jupiter to flourish.

So you can see why it would be desirable to have these two planets in the same sign. If the planets are also conjunct, then the inherent optimism of these planets will feed into one another and you may indeed feel as if your have a guardian angel protecting you. And, as they say, we make our own luck.

On the other hand, having these two planets both in Taurus could have a circumscribing effect on the search for purpose and significance, because of Taurus' pragmatism and need for security. There could also be a potential to 'worship false idols' due to the materialistic tendencies of Taurus.

More positively, an appreciation of the natural world and sensual experience could focus you on finding joy and meaning in the steadiness and beauty of the physical realm.

But there's not too much that can be said without seeing the whole chart.
True freedom and the end of suffering is living in such a way as if you had completely chosen whatever you feel or experience at this moment.

Re: Sun and Jupiter in Taurus

Despite the adversities created in the opposition of my Sun/Jupiter in 8th opposed by Mars in 2nd, I am lucky that the 8th is also involved in a grand trine, and it definitely has often left me feeling that I have a guardian angel [or muse in my case] as well as having experienced an important time of divine intervention. with thanks to the Creator.
