i feel some sort of strange connection with this person? could we be soulmates?

before i met him i used to be a major flirt, had a lot of boyfriends and hated long term relationships. i felt extremely comfortable with him right from the day we met ( which is something i feel rarely around people). we ended up being in a relationship for 2 and a half years and inspite of it being the longest i've ever dated someone, there wasn't a day i felt bored with him. he brought up the responsible and nurturing side of me. we had the same ambitions too. we looked up to each other. i also noticed that he was only affectionate and caring whenever he's with me. just listening to his voice made me happy. we even thought of getting married in future ( something i thought i'd never dream of). i hated anything to do with romance till i met him. we did fight a lot and exchanged a lot of harsh words but always ended up patching up. this year he was busy with his job placements and we couldn't meet much. and our fights got worse. during one such fight, we decided that we would better give our relationship a break. we started talking again after 2 months and decided to be good friends since both of us might move abroad in an year. he still keeps saying that he loves me and that i'm the only girl who makes him feel so. i feel the same too but didn't tell him so. he said that he really wants to date again in future. i feel happier whenever i talk to him!!
do we really have a future together? does our chart show any indications of marriage?

This seems to be an example of astrological compatibility and personal incompatibility. According to the things you've said, the two of you seem to work well together by nature, but you each do things personally that cause problems. Basically, if you could learn to be perfect versions of yourselves, you would have no problems. The astrology isn't the issue. Your personalities are the issue.

I'm not trying to build a stereotype, but this is the kind of problem that I would expect to see in an Indian couple. I think it comes from the Indian persuasion that astrology is absolute and fatalistic (i.e. the times and events of your life are set and there's nothing you can do to change them). I disagree. Just as you could create opportunity seemingly from nothing, you could damage or kill a relationship by assuming that your own actions don't matter. You can easily drive away someone you were "scheduled" to meet. The astrology only describes the details. What happens after you meet becomes a matter of two free wills acting on each other. The stars may afford certain chances, but every individual writes their own destiny.

I'm saying this to make it clear that the "break" you took from your relationship was entirely created by you and not the stars. If you had chosen a different path together, perhaps you wouldn't have taken such a break? When will you get back together, if ever? That's up to you. A day-long astrological reading can only describe a situation. A five-minute phone call can change the situation.

You could have the best synastry in the world, but unless you have good communications, are honest with each other about your needs, wishes and desires and 'both' of you want the same things...........then nothing will happen. It cannot make anyone change, or love you more. Some challenging squares, oppositions in synastry can be healthy, and may require one or both of you to grow in some way. Astrological natal charts cannot explain environmental factors, financial handicaps/ restraints and what position you hold in society, neither can it tell you if you are of ‘Royalty’ or beggar.

I am of the belief that people come in and out of our lives for a reason, either we have to teach them something or we have to learn something from them. There is Always an exchange, good or bad.
