Retrogrades & Planetary Returns: 1st pass?

When casting planetary returns that co-occur with retrogrades, do you cast the planetary return for the FIRST pass, or the last pass?

My Natal Jupiter is at 12 Gemini, so if the chart is cast for the first pass, then the correct date is in August 2012. If I cast the chart for the last pass, then the chart is cast for April 2013..

The charts are quite different!

thanks

I'm not sure what you mean. But a planetary return is developed for the MOST recent time that the planet had the same exact position of your natal. So If your Mars was retrograde, you want the most recent time from the current date that the position was the same.

You could give an example with data and we could make a suggestion about how it would be. Its a little hard to explain in a hypthetical way,but I hope this description works for you.

If I am understanding your post correctly, I would think the 1st and 3rd matter most in your case since your Jupiter is direct?
