Horary Astrology Ask and answer any horary questions, and discuss theory and technique. Please post a chart of the time, date, and place you asked the question. Please do not ask the same question repeatedly, hoping for a different result: horary works best when you ask the question ONCE and then interpret the chart that results from when the question FIRST came into your mind. Horary forums are ONLY for discussion of horary charts and techniques.

Moksha?

It's said that there a cycle of birth and death and we are all free from it at some point in time, in some life. The ancient Vedics termed this Moksha. After having been told in my previous thread that I shall not be reincarnated to meet him, I've just woken up in the middle of the night and had this idea (time I'm typing this is 3:05am), if I will attain moksha instead. Seen as it is a different question, I deemed it appropriate a new thread rather than pose it under my previous thread. I've often had this feeling that I don't belong here and that there is a higher purpose calling out to me. My question is this: Will I attain moksha in this life and never have to reborn again? I've gone the extra to attach my D-60 varga/60th Harmonic chart for convenience, should this chart have any help in answering my question.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Moksha?

Rahu in the D60 9th house = high spiritual evolution indicated for the querent; 9th house Virgo with Rahu in it is also found in the previous question D60 chart about the deity the querent wanted to know about: to me, these 2 charts dovetail and point to the possibility of querent obtaining moksha via the deity (spiritual force) querent asked about in the previous horary question.
My answer to this specific horary (via prashna varga horary technique) is-yes this is a distinct possibility (moksha in this life)

Re: Moksha?

Though I don't have any stellar combinations which give rise to Moksha yoga in my lagna or rasi for that matter, I've always had a feeling that my life has gone off on a tangent in that direction. I do happen to have Ketu, Saturn and Pluto in Libra in my 12th house in rasi, and was told the sorrow and suffering (Saturn in 12th), will in turn lead to my spiritual liberation (Ketu in 12th). Strange that I asked the question and it generated a 'yes-possibility' answer (subject to my deeds/debts of course for the remainder of this life).

Re: Moksha?

Namaste

Moksha is a rare thing indeed.

Looked at the chart yesterday and came to same conclusion as Dr Farr.
But due to the difficulites and few people reaching that goal of spiritual liberation made me doubt the chart.

But the horary chart seems to indicate a yes answer, which may be a sign for increasing efforts in that direction.

Asc ruler Moon is in 12th house of moksha describes the heart of the question.
12th house ruler (moksha) is applying to an
exalted Jupiter in 1st house (by whole sign and also by 5 degree orb to
the ascendent.)

Namaste,

Thank you very much for input Shanti.

Yes Moksha is a rare thing and the thought of it has often mesmerised me as what it would feel like to achieve Moksha. I am endeavouring in this life time to try and do as many good deeds as I can. In the four pillars of life: Dharma, Arth, Kama and Moksha, I have tried experienced a very strong sense of ambivalence between trying to break away from Arth and Kama. (Naturally this is very difficult except for a sage/an overseer who has elected to break all material bonds). But there is a feeling I get once every so often that I can almost feel like I'm trying to break away from it all. Dharma I've always believed in trying to use my initiative in differentiating right from wrong. Sometimes I have been swayed by extraneous influences, however Nature has helped regain my track. I guess that leaves Moksha. Hopefully I will get it at the end of this life and liberate myself in someway or the other.

Re: Moksha?

I Have heared of this place called Benares in India - Home of Lord Shiva - is a preferred place of death because it takes the pollution out of death & makes it a positive event.

Anyone who dies there breaks the cycle of life and achieves Moksha.

I've never heard of Benares, unless you meant to say Banaras. I don't particularly believe that if you die in a certain place you will get moksha. Moksha is something which has to be worked towards/earned by means of conducting good deeds and freeing yourself of all debts. The only other paths to Moksha are deep mediation leading to spiritual ascension i.e Samadhi, (far and few people have actually achieved this but those that have, have left their physical bodies) or so the ancient Vedics said dying at the hands of the Lord almighty himself. Again, how much of this is true only the Lord himself knows because over the centuries, most recently at the beginning of the current epoch Kali-yuga a lot of the ancient texts were lost and manipulated as time went by. So in essence no one actually knows whether either of these paths will lead to Moksha or not.

Re: Moksha?

Moksha--not be born again. I don't know much about it, but I would say that it is a 4th house issue: the final outcome, death and its aftermath.

Venus rules the 4th house. It is in the 4th and in its domicile. The sun is below the horizon so Venus is also in sect. It does not look to be afflicted. This is very favorable for Venus and for the question.

You are the Moon which is separating from Venus by trine aspect. This indicates that you have already attained what you seek: you do not have to come back to life on earth if you don't want to.

Thus the answer to the question is yes. However, these spiritual questions are difficult to confirm. You should obtain three positive testimonies for this and only you will know the final answer.

I sympathise with that. You seems serious in the matter. Moksha have been my main focus for the last 25 years or so since getting diksha/initiation by an Indian
spiritual master. But many hang ups in personality is there which is hard to detach from, so probably not this life time for me.

See Saturnian's thread entitled "Reincarnated to Meet Him?", in the Horary Questions on Spirituality & Mysteries Forum, for details.
I delineated this question using a D60 ("karma varga") chart based on the time and place of the horary question.

I would say I'm fairly serious about the matter. Whilst I am still a bit of materialistic, I have given up many things in order to better my life. I've begun to even feel aloof from my parents. I've stopped socialising pretty much since 2004/05. I've hardly gone out since then and spend more time in my room reminiscing on the past and trying to find answers to the mystique. This partly attributed towards my interest in astrology and such sciences. I became a workaholic at one stage and now I don't worry any more (partly because of bad health) and now I feel as if I need to work towards achieving a higher calling.

Initiation from a spiritual master is the beginning to a new dimension. It takes time I admit, to break away from such a materialistic world. But it will help. I sincerely wish you the very best with your initiation and hope you too can achieve moksha if not in this life, but perhaps the next .
