In fact in current period it's a matter of research, applying classical theories Vs. Charts.
I request members to give me details of mother's chart, who are blessed with twins or multiple births.
If possible then some detailed background too.
Thanks

Would twins or multiple births be shown in a persons natal chart? If so, where in the chart would this be shown?

1. If you are member of astrodenist.

2. Go to astrodenist's data bank then Search:

"Family : Parenting : Birthing - Twins, triplets"

The mother whom gave birth to twins/triplets, in many cases even the fathers who have twins/multiple births:

In western tropical charts are usually 5th house cusp in mutual sign (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) and/or ruler of the 5th is ruled by Mercury or in the sign of Virgo or Gemini.

At time, the ruler of the 5th conjuncts/square/opposition/trine Mercury.

Or Mercury is in the 5th house cusp.

Simply, is always always about the Mercury.

For example, 5th house cusp in Aries, but Mars is in Gemini.

Here are some random examples

Example 1)

Family

Mother gave birth to twins (Sons):

5th house Aries, Mars in Virgo 10th, Mars even mutual reception with Mercury in Scorpio in 11th house

http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Research:Twins_Family_2

Father had twins of the same family (Sons):

5th house cusp starts at the late degrees of Libra, Moon in 5th house Scorpio, Venus ruler of the 5th cusp in Cancer conjuncts Mercury both in 12th. Moon in the 5th trine Venus and Mercury in Cancer.

Example 2)
http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Hayward,_Susan

Mother had twins (Sons):
5th house Aries, Mars is in Gemini, Mercury in Gemini

Example 3)
http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Potter,_Herbert_Thomas

Father of twins (Daughters):

5th house cusp starts in the sign of Gemini, Mercury in Taurus, exact conjunction with exalted Moon in Taurus in 3rd. Venus the ruler of Mercury and Moon is herself in Gemini in 4th.

5th house contains Mars and Pluto in Cancer, ruler of 5th house cusp Mercury and Moon both sextile Mars and Pluto.

Review all the charts under the category of
"Family : Parenting : Birthing - Twins, triplets"

And very soon you will see the patterns.

About 119 charts are available under this category.

Personally, even 5th house in mutual signs, when 5th house has relationship with Mercury as I mentioned above will be more likely.

Interesting- my fifth house cusp is in Aries with Mars in Gemini :surprised:

You could check out the so-called Uranian planets by putting hh in the asteroid box on astrodienst. Also tick Ceres in the box, who is the Goddess of mothering.

The position of Vulcanus may indicate "more than 1". :)

Also check for Hades which is similar to Pluto and may indicate a larger than normal amount of mothering.

Well my moms a fraternal twin...and Im an only child so I looked at my chart.

My Ceres is conjunct my Sun in Leo in the 9th house.

Hades is conjunct my 7th house in Gemini

Vulcanus/Chiron conjunct my Venus in Cancer in the 8th house

Admetos is in Taurus in my 5th house.

Not completely sure what all this means. Haha. But would love to know a website or book that deeply explains the asteriods..

I don't know that anyone has yet published a book on that set of asteroids but plenty of astrologers are using them and writing about them on their websites. Google "astrology uranians".

I have done heaps and heaps of work with twins, some born only a minute apart. I have found that duad charts describe the differences in twins.

When I first realised this might work I asked members of forums to send me the charts of twins who were family members so they could give accurate feedback. I did a number of duad charts for these twins and got 100% confirmation in all cases.

I presented my discovery at the Sydney Astrological Research Society where I did blind readings of the charts of twins the members presented and received 100% ratification. I then published my research in the FAA Journal and received confirmation from readers.

100% confirmation is huge, I wasn't expecting this, so am sure that these charts really work.

You can read about this process here: http://aliceportman.com/duads-duad-charts-show-the-differences-between-twins/

The only program that I know of that calculates duad charts is Solar Fire v6 upwards, but if you don't have the program and are interested you can calculate these by hand with a calculator, as I did for years and years. I have described how to do this in another article in the duad section.

It certainly makes sense that duodenary (duad) charts would be of much value in such investigations.

In Vedic practice, various divisional charts are used for this purpose, the D60 chart (sometimes also referred to as the "karma varga" chart) being the principal divisional chart applied for this type of investigation.
