What is Solar Return?

Hi; i've been hearing from time to time lately about Solar Return (or SR chart, perhaps) as giving additional further information to that of the standars natal chart.

Is there a brief way of explaining what is Solar Return?

Sure.

A solar return is the position of the transiting planets at the time that the transiting Sun returns to the exact position of your natal Sun each year. When you create a chart for that, it is a solar return chart.

Thanks! So by rendering a natal chart for a date equal to my natal sun' date in whatever year forward of my birth date would yield a specific SR chart?

May i ask in passing about the so-called progressed chart meaning (and/or technique)? Thank you; greetings
