Does anybody use Solar arcs in their predictive work ?

Im asking, as the past couple of days ive been looking into my Solar arcs. And ive been finding some interesting things.

Feb 24th this year i cut contact with my sister (once again) which involved me just ignoring all her msgs out of the blue, i never blocked her and still haven't but shes given up reaching out, which is understandable, so we've not spoken since. I couldn't figure out transit wise what had caused me to do it, i couldn't find anything that had been a trigger.

But my Solar arcs tell a different story, on the 24th Feb the day i started to ignore her, My solar arc moon was exact to the minute square my natal mars, mars rules my 3rd house of siblings/communication. Also solar arc saturn was 12 mins away from an exact conjunction with mars also.

By the end of September, both moon/saturn have both seperated from mars, so lets see if its around this time we get back in contact.

On new years eve/day i also had an exact to the min solar arc lilith in the 8th house square natal moon, seperating from a conjunction to the natal 8th house saturn.

Re: Does anybody use Solar arcs in their predictive work ?

Yes, off the top of my head the events that have correlated with them are -

SA Pluto conj. Sun - age 5 - I became more gloomier and somber
SA Pluto conj. Mercury - age 8 - This happened the year after I was doing 3 sports for my school. I stopped playing sports for my school when the next school year started, become more withdrawn, took up chess and strategic video games.

SA Moon square Sun - age 9 - parent's relationship started to disintegrate.
SA ASC conj. Mars - age 2 - head injury to which I had to be hospitalized. Started playing sports competitively (running)
SA ASC conj. Venus - age 5 - "experimental phase"
SA Jupiter conj. ASC - age 4 - enrolled in prestigious private school
SA Pluto conj. Jupiter - age 21 - joined first "mystery" group.

Also, at age 8 I also had SA Saturn square ASC which would play into being more serious and withdrawn that year. The year previous was SA Jupiter conj. Mars, and that year was an expansion in group activities and social engagements, especially of the martial variety. I was in a national competition that year too, which syncs up with the symbology.

Re: Does anybody use Solar arcs in their predictive work ?

Thanks for sharing them CT, very interesting.

I need to look at mine in more depth,I've only been looking at recent ones so far...well I have only learnt about them since yesterday.

I've noticed yours are mainly all conjunctions and my SA sun will be soon conjunct my mars. I wonder what this may bring 🤔

Re: Does anybody use Solar arcs in their predictive work ?

I have found that SA Sun is very powerful in predictions. Especially by conjunction/opposition.

Lost my virginity to my longtime high school boyfriend when SA Sun was exactly conjunct my natal Mercury in Scorpio, conjunct my 7th house cusp.

Mercury ruled my 2nd and 5th house cusps.

When SA arc Sun left Scorpio and entered Sag, which ruled my 8th house, I experienced ' Love at First Sight' with my husband.

2 years later, when SA Sun was conjunct my Venus in the 7th in Sag, we were married. [Venus is the midpoint of my Sun/Moon sextile]

When SA Sun was less than a degree from my Cap moon in the 8th, I became a grandparent for the 1st time.

SA Sun is nearing a conjunction with my natal Mars in Cap in the 8th. I am hoping it is not bad news.

Mars rules my 12th, so I hope it isn't the loss of a family member.

I'm thinking H12 is about our own beliefs we rely on to make sense of the world. I haven't used Solar Arcs though.

Ok, I edited just before I saw your answer, because I then realised you were speAking about the 12th house....DUH

Solar Arcs work just like Progressions.

My natal Sun has now reached my natal Mars, by Solar Arc progression. Natally, the Sun is in Scorpio in the 6th, and Mars is in Cap in the 8th.

The Sun rules the 4th and Mars rules the 12th. That is why I wondered if it might be the 'end of the matter' for a family member. My Mom is 89 and my Aunt is 87.
I worry about them both.

It's strange that H12 is known as the House of Endings, because each new Solar day begins with the Sun there. A first-House Sun is below the horizon, and hasn't risen yet.

Katy, when the conjunction happens, can you let us know what happened, if anything important or unsusal?

Yes, I referred to the 'end of the matter' because my Sun rules the 4th house.

So that being the 'end of matters', and it being related to family matters, makes me worry about my 89 yr old Mom.

Ruler of my 4th meeting the ruler of my 12th, in the 8th house

Have you got any progressions going on at the same time, that could help pin point ? My bad, your progressed suns the same.

Ive got SA sun 1 degree away from conjuncting my mars, but mine happens in the 9th house and mars rules my 3rd, so maybe more studying for me, im not too sure though, as im already studying everyday.

I thought 12th house was about pre-birth.

Asc 1st age, MH middle age, DC final age, IC death and 12th house childbirth/prenatal conditions.

Re: Does anybody use Solar arcs in their predictive work ?

I think arcs and pregressed charts show internal changes and external changes made by our own choices .

It's the natural unfolding of our characters . How we change and the lessons we need to learn. I haven't really found them that prominent for predictions .

Transits are those who work like a charm for predictions because they show opportunities handed by the universe.

Also about the 12th. That house is much deeper than just endings . It's a higher octave of the 12th. The 12th consists everything. It's your subconscious mind, it's the universe, it's everything yet to be observed, everything mysterious and unknown. It's just water haha, can't be difined really and manifests so different for everyone . It's the house where anything can happen.

I just realized that my SA chart is exactly the same as my natal, just signs changed. Maybe that's why I don't feel much. However I guessed that SA moon progressing in natal 7th would bring something but it didn't. Can't say I even felt it much.

Always.

As a theoretical calculation that directs all planets further in the chart based upon the Sun's arc of motion per day after birth, there is no logical explanation as to why solar arc directions should work, yet they do.
I've mentioned often that my 1st astrology teacher was able to state the years what, where, when and WHY (psychological interp.) I developed a physical disorder (gallstones), taking Saturn's (stone) S.A.D to my Moon and, later, Mars (gall). Saturn is ruler 5th and trad. ruler of my 6th house.

The Sun's S.A. is actually its secondary progression, its true arc of motion over any period; a reason that (katydid's) experiences are so actual.
Solar arc directions of the planets are totally different to their true secondary progressions (rate of motion per day following birth). Mercury and Venus can move faster than the Sun, Mars onwards are always slower. Moon is a sole racer of its own kind . Planets have retrograde motion. This never happens with S.A.D's.

On a now defunct astro. forum, a member made the astute comment that the difference between S.A.D's and Progressions is that a S.A.D is indicative of a direction life is taking at that particular time, that has a 'life span' of approx. 3 years (applying, direct, separating degree). The progression is indicative of progress in/of it because it has a 'lifetime' effect.
I've experienced it to have a lot of truth in it.

Thanks Frisiangal

With regards to this... "I've mentioned often that my 1st astrology teacher was able to state the years what, where, when and WHY (psychological interp.) "

This prediction was noted when the SA Saturn was applying to conjunct your moon and then your mars, is this correct ? Was there then improvement in your condition, when Saturn separated from moon and mars ?

Also was the aspects exact by the minute your gallstones fully developed ?

I offered my chart as 'Guinea pig' for a class lesson on S.A.D's. My teacher had no 'conscious' ( knowledge whatsoever of my private life. This was 9 years after the physical disorder had occured.

She spoke of the earlier opposition effect of Saturn upon Moon, and the 'possible' consequential effect (Saturn!) upon the gall bladder when it conjoined Mars 12 years later (the orb was officially too wide for a natal Moon-Mars opposition but any validity of its applying aspect was questioned). I believe that even she showed an empathy of surprise when I simply said, 'it was'.
During the same period S.A.D. Mars, ruler 8th of operations, had squared natal Sun, ruler 12th house (hospitals?), in the 9th house, from its 12th house position!

Sec. progr. Sun in Gemini was completing a sextile to 12th house Jupiter (bladder). All went well.

Quote:

I had 'symptoms' again 7 years later. The specialist told me that 'it takes 7 years for a stone to form', which I found interesting as I had started learning astrology shortly before. Simple surgery, but it had a greater effect. I sought professional lessons.
It was the inghts of my first teacher that led the path towards learning medical astrology.
The disorder was never repeated.

Quote:

I never looked. I don't have exact dates. When, over such a long period, would that have been and 'the cause' become the physical symptom ?

Re: Does anybody use Solar arcs in their predictive work ?

Just found something quite interesting in my SA.

Round about the age of 12, my 5th house moon would be trine mars/pluto, at the same time 8th house sun/saturn was square 12th house neptune.
This was the age the childhood sexual abuse took place.

A year later and moon was now in opposition with Neptune. When i was around 13 i disclosed to "the mother" what had been going on, but she didn't believe me, so i was made out to be an "attention" seeker.

And still to this day i have issues with people not believing me when i tell them something, even just something mundane.
