A few tips for assessing "blackness/whiteness" aka "darkness/lightness"
"fairness/darker complexion" of skin tones
Important to keep in mind that
it's not unusual for children of the same race
to be fairer or darker complexioned than their siblings
So within the race of white/whitish people
some siblings are darker/lighter complexioned than others
and likewise
within the race of black/blackish people
some siblings are darker/lighter complexioned than others
and so for rectification purposes
Focusing on height, weight, bone structure, eye colour
gives overall good results

A very basic principle of traditional astrology is

that TRADITIONALLY 1st House describes
amongst various significations
http://www.skyscript.co.uk/temples/h1.html
Life, vitality and health.
Stature, colour, complexion, form and shape of body.

Older sources note 1st House influence upon the intellect
the way the mind works
and speech.
1st house represents the focal point for the personality and manner of expression.
As well as describing the physical appearance

clearly then skin color aka complexion in TRADITIONAL astrology in any event
IS a matter for 1st House delineation

For while the region which we inhabit is in one of the northern quarters, the people who live under the more southern parallels, that is, those p123 from the equator to the summer tropic, since they have the sun over their heads and are burned by it, 56have black skins and thick, woolly hair, are contracted in form and shrunken in stature, are sanguine of nature, and in habits are for the most part savage because their homes are continually oppressed by the heat; we call them by the general name Ethiopians.

Those who live under the more northern parallels, those, I mean, who have the Bears over their heads, since they are far removed from the zodiac and the heat of the sun, are therefore cooled; but because they have a richer share of moisture, which is most nourishing and is not there exhausted by heat, they are white in complexion, straight-haired, tall and well-nourished, and somewhat cold by nature; these too are savage in their habits because their dwelling-places are continually cold. The wintry character of their climate, the size of their plants, and the wildness of their animals are in accord with these qualities. We call these men, too, by a general name, Scythians.

Who DIDN'T they thought of as savages? :pinched:

A moderate climate is said to produce fine people, as opposed to climates of extremes:

The inhabitants of the region between the summer tropic and the Bears, however, since 57the sun is p125 neither directly over their heads nor far distant at its noon-day transits, share in the equable temperature of the air, which varies, to be sure, but has no violent changes from heat to cold. They are therefore medium in colouring, of moderate stature, in nature equable, live close together, and are civilized in their habits. The southernmost of them9 are in general more shrewd and inventive, and better versed in the knowledge of things divine because their zenith is close to the zodiac and to the planets revolving about it. Through this affinity the men themselves are characterized by an activity of the soul which is sagacious, investigative, and fitted for pursuing the sciences specifically called mathematical.

Did the Nazis have an interest in astrology and tried to equate Germans and Northern Europeans/Caucasians as the "master race" based on the first sign of the astrological zodiac Aries, hence the term "Aryan" (Sanskrit term for honor)? In Middle Eastern and South Asian societies in ancient times, the sign Aries was the spring solstice, thus the beginning of their year, gave the name "Aryan" to a tribe who conquered Northern India around 1500 BC. However, the spring solstice began when the sun is in Taurus in the 1st millennia BC, earlier in 2000-4000 BC.

According to their racial dogma combined with astrology, there were 12 races of humanity and each one was influenced by a sign. The Turkic peoples were under Taurus, the Southern Europeans were Gemini, the Arabs were Cancer, black Africans were Leo, the Slavs were Virgo, the Jews were Libra, the Romani were Scorpio, the Latinos of South America were Sagittarius, the Indians were Capricorn, the Persians of Iran were Aquarius, and their Japanese allies were Pisces along with other East Asians and Pacific Islanders (Cetus in Japanese astrology). Ancient Egypt had reverence to Orion and China has an Ophiuchus component, but these are parazodiacs not the mainstream 12 zodiac signs.

On Jan 30, 1933 when the third reich took power, the Nazi party marked an outdoor rally to introduce the "beginning of the Aquarian age", right on the astrological month of Aquarius and the moon sign that night was in...Aries. Little do they know the reich will not last a 1,000 years, it only lasted 12 in their defeat in WW2. Hitler's belief that the "enemies" going by astrology as well by political and cultural bias was the opposite of Libra, the Jews...and the Romani under Scorpio and the Slavs under Virgo (the Communist Soviet Union of Russia).

Thankfully, today we know about genetics.

One fervently hopes we lack the racist prejudices of astrologers of the past.

Heaven help us if we do not.
