changing your solar return?

I heard an astrologer say on youtube that if you don't like your upcoming solar return, you can check to see if you like it better in another location, then take a vacation on and around the days of your birthday to that location and then this would give you the energies of that particular solar return chart for the next year even if you don't stay there in that place for the next year.

Does it work? Has anybody tried this?

I changed my 2019 solar return by travelling to another city for a week.

I'm supposed to have 5 degree Libra ascendant on my 7th house, which is conjunct my natal Chiron. I changed it a few degrees earlier to 25 degree Virgo ascendant. I am an engineering student, and it has helped me a lot with my assignments.

I've only changed the ascendant, though, so I don't know whether it will apply to planetary positions or not, but almost four months have passed since my birthday and I must say it worked.
