Hello
This past eclipse my mom died Sept 28 at 7:40am. the eclipse Sun opposed my natal Uranus (10th house) and transiting Uranus conjunct my natal Sun (4th house) .. I remember saying to myself because she was in the hospital that if she could make it through the eclipse she may live a few months more. I knew she was terminal with emphysema, lung and bone cancer (she smoked for 55 years) I was holding on to hope.

My dob: 4/9/1970 @10:40 pm Chicago, Illinois.. I was just wondering if anyone else has expereinced loss of someone close during eclipse?

Very upsetting event for you erin, condolences

ECLIPSES on the same or similar degree
recur at intervals

An eclipse can link two places together.

Eclipse effects ARE NOT NECESSARILY 'disastrous'
but they are certainly linked with change

such as relocation, change of career, relationship changes
and so on

Keep in mind that
deaths occur daily and not solely at eclipse times

death is just one kind of event associated with eclipses

also, it is possible that others
who were born in the same city
on the same day
at the same time
may not have experienced the death of their mother
and I note that you mention that your mothers death was expected within months
because she suffered from a number of smoking-related illnesses

It is unlikely that you have a time of birth for your mother
but if you did,
then it is your mothers chart
that would more clearly show any eclipse-linked potential

BILL MERIDIAN
- a pupil of CHARLES JAYNE
has written a book explaining the effects of eclipses in natal astrology

An eclipse does not necessarily affect everyone,
only those whose natal charts are connected to it
by aspect to their natal planets
and/or
aspect to their ASC/DESC/IC/MC
Important to keep in mind
that the eclipse degree may be activated
by any transiting PLANET
within 6 months to a year

AND
MAY ALSO BE RE-ACTIVATED
BY ECLIPSES
even years later

also

changes indicated may well occur to others
- such as friends, co-workers and not solely to family
and

when eclipses affect countries
then the entire population is in some way affected

QUOTE

'.....There are eclipses that re-activate other eclipses
from decades earlier and 'repeat',
which MAY have significant impact due to that eclipse degree remaining a sensitive point for years,
decades,
even centuries.
Far longer than anyone had previously thought

A book to revolutionize the study of eclipses

Sorry to hear that.
Two of my family members died during eclipses many years ago.
Also major events in my life happened during eclipse. Getting married, move into a new location, financial loss/gain to name several.

Eclipses are associated with major change
changes may occur in any area of life
including work, finances

Solar Eclipse Frequency and Future Eclipses on average = 2.4 eclipses annually

But eclipses in a single year can range from 2 to 5.
It is rare to have 5 solar eclipses in a single year, for example in 1935 and the next time is 2206.
Typically there is 1 total eclipse every 1 to 2 years.
Although it is possible to have 2 total eclipses in a single year, it is quite rare.
Examples of years containing 2 total eclipses are 1712, 1889, 2057 and 2252

I'm sorry to hear about your mum.

My friend's mum died the same day, on my friend's birthday. Her date of birth is 28/09/1975, and pluto is transiting opposite her natal moon and squaring her natal sun, also squaring her mum's sun and uranus was transiting her mum's sun, and square my friend's moon.

Major change? I don't feel them, except I am somehow emotionally uncomfortable on eclipse days. Although I have a Moon in scorpio and a cancer ascendant … I started believing that unless they don't fall exactly (!) on luminaries and angles they bring nothing.
