Exclamation Will his health improve?

Greetings! I'm not any good at horary but I really feel like I need to try. I can use a little bit of help. I've recently gotten close to someone and ever since I got here he hasn't been doing any good. We've been in the hospital numerous times over his illness and it doesn't seem to be improving. There might be something wrong with his liver and he might need a transplant. The doctors told him there's a big chance his heart will reject it and yeah. He wants to keep me in the dark about all of this because he thinks it will only hurt myself.

Anyways, on to the chart.

Will His Health Improve? asked on September 29, 2007 @ 5:31pm.

Ascendant in Pisces; I am signified by Jupiter.
Uranus is a co-significator as it is in the first house. I don't think this position
is very favorable, as Uranus is retrograde. I'm in a position of chaos.

I am not sure about his significator. 7th House? The 7th is ruled by Scorpio thus his significator would be Pluto (planet of death and rebirth...). Pluto is in the 10th house in opposition to Mars. Health breakdown? From what I know this is not a good aspect.

Moon is in the 2nd house which in terms of illness might mean that it could go either way.

I don't really have many sources on this subjects and most of the information I see online is on relational horary questions. Any good sites/book recommendations are welcome.

Re: Will his health improve?

No horary specialist has answered this yet?

I'm certainly not one of these specialists, but perhaps I can draw some attention to this thread with a reply. That's all I'm good for here, pretty much...

Who is this person in relationship to you? I'm assuming by your post that he's a significant other of some type (signified by the seventh house), but he could possibly be signified by the fifth house if he is a lover. Determining his significator is the first step, and then, depending upon one's horary technique, we could use the first house (health) or the sixth house (illness).

Yet it also sounds that from the nature of this question that you are inquiring more about the disappearing of an illness than a state of well-being, although of course one can argue that they are inextricably linked.

This is one reason why I don't like horary astrology; I never know which house to use!

I'm sorry I couldn't be of greater assistance...

None of the planets beyond Saturn are traditionally used in horary astrology, but I'm guilty of incorporating them in my attempted chart interpretations as well. I'd use Mars as his main significator, though. I believe it is significant that Mars just entered the sign of Cancer, but I'm not too familiar with the parts of the body ruled over by the specific signs; I believe Cancer rules the breasts and stomach, but liver may be under the jurisdiction of another sign. I'll have to research this further before coming to any conclusions...

EDIT: I found the following information in an article titled Traditional Rulerships and Associations of the Moon on Skyscript; hopefully this isn't considered plagiarism:

Quote:
Anatomy and Illnesses:

Apoplexies [9] , palsy [10] , the colic [11] , the bellyache, disease in the left side, stones, the bladder and members of reproduction, menstruation, the liver in women, dropsies [12] , fluids of the belly, all cold rheumatic diseases, cold stomach, the gout in the wrists and feet, sciatica, worms, rheums [13] or hurts in the eyes, viz., in the left of men, and right of women: surfeits,[14] rotten coughs, convulsion fits, the falling sickness [15] , kings-evil [16] , apostems [17] , small pox and measles.
The numbers on the bottom of the page may help you interpret some of the more archaic terms:

Quote:
9] Sudden impairment of neurological function, such as that resulting from a cerebral hemorrhage; a stroke.
Back to text
10] Paralysis
Back to text
11] Billiousness
Back to text
12] Characterised by the accumulation of watery fluid in the tissues.

16] Cervical tuberculosis or scrofula - a disease in the lymphatic glands.

17] Apostumes: derivation of impostumes, meaning 'abscesses'. Gk - apostema.

None of this is specifically mentions the liver, though...

Yes, but since you asked this question, the moon would be in your second house and his eighth house or tenth house, depending upon which house you use as his significator--the seventh or the fifth.

He's represented by the 7th house. I just want to know the outlook. I've known in instances where the doctors have been wrong and people have gone on living for much longer than they predicted. I want to know if he's health will improve and he'll be able to go on. He has adult congenital heart disease and a few family members have died around his age right now. He might not need a liver transplant but his heart is still in bad shape. We've been getting really close and I've been on this roller coaster ride for a while now.

I've been looking at his progressed chart too. He has Mars in the 6th house right now (28 degrees) Both Mars and the Moon are opposite his Asc. His birth date is March 12, 1987 @ 11:40pm

Re: Will his health improve?

The Sun, which is a traditional indicator of health and vitality, is currently in the sign of its fall, Libra; however, it's also in his turned first house, which I believe is a good sign. Not to mention that Mercury, not the Sun, is the significator of his first house, and although this planet is not in a sign of its rulership or exaltation, neither is it in a sign of its detriment or fall.

The Moon, which is acts as a co-significator in horary charts, is located in the sign of its exaltation, which is a plus. Technically, the Moon is in his turned eighth house if we use the seventh house as his significator, but it appears to be conjunct the cusp of the ninth, although usually only a five-degree orb is used.

I'm not sure what to make of Jupiter conjunct his turned fourth house, but Jupiter is within five degrees of his turned Nadir and is therefore considered to be in the fourth house--an angular house. I am no horary astrologer, but I consider this to be a good sign.

Don't give up hope, and as difficult as this may be in your current situation, try not to pin all of your expectations on a single horary chart. The chart may always reveal the answers, but we humans are imperfect interpreters, even the best astrologers among us.

Blessings to you and your family.

Re: Will his health improve?

Thank you. I'm glad there are some positive indicators. He's really strong and he has the will to live.

That was one of the reasons I was hesitant at first, I know that astrology will not give you a definite answer, well not just astrology. Everything is up in the air. Actually it's quite interesting that I'm going through this with him because my mercury just entered the 8th house. I can't seem to stop thinking about death.

Thank you again for your blessings. I'm not giving up hope but he seems hopeless and there's nothing I can do to change that.

Concentrate on seeing the light of life within him, rather than the seeming "dysfunction" of certain parts of his body. Positive energy can only positively affect him, while focusing on the negative may actually intensify the physical pain.

I just noticed that quite a few of the aspects in the chart are separating aspects, which means that they are no longer gaining strength. This is another positive indicator, in my opinion, and may possibly signify that the worst may be over, although perhaps I shouldn't jump to such broad conclusions. Mercury, his significator, contacts some difficult planets, but fortunately, the aspects are all harmonious; again, I believe this is another good sign.

Difficult aspects don't automatically symbolize death, though; otherwise a lot of us, including myself, would long be gone!

Energy is simply energy, neither good nor bad...it is only us humans with our limited perceptions who judge it as such.

Re: Will his health improve?

Saturn in the 7th can be a reason for an Astrologer not to judge this chart.

I'll give you some hints so that you can analyse the chart for yourself.

1. Your significant other is represented by the 7th house, the ruler of the sign on its cusp and any planets in that house. This house represents his Ascendant and his health.

2. His turned 6th house, the ruler of its cusp and any planets in it will represent the illness.

3. The Moon shows what has already happened and what it's about to happen.

4. How is his significator situated, in which house (radical and turned), what planet is his dispositor, and the aspects it gets from other planets (benefics or malefics) will tell you how strong his health is in relation to his illness.

5. I consider only the traditional planets for Horary.

What you must look for:

Aspects from the benefics to his significator will help him. Aspects from the malefics to his significator are not welcome. The benefics should be strongly situated and dignified to be of maximum help. South Node and malefics in his ascendant are never a positive sign.

To finish, I can only say that Astrology only gives you an indication of how the energies are moving. The final result will always depend on the decisions that the person in question makes. Free will.

I wish you and him the best.

Carole.

Hi FleetingDasein, do try to be calm, ok? I've taken a look at your horary chart.

Hi Carole, I understand why you said that about Saturn in the 7th house. However, to correct this, just cast a sunrise chart for the "day" of the question, and then work from there. Then the horary question chart can be used as the secondary chart to triangulate.

Here are my thoughts ~

The "sunrise" chart of the day of the question, Sept. 29, 2007, shows Mars at cardinal point 90 ~ or, zero degrees tropical Cancer. Mars in the Ninth House, near the MC, is trine to Mercury at 1-SCOR, and applying as well in water trine to Pallas, and the Dragon's Head. Life and death issues, medical matters, questions, needs, wants, and desires surrounding the question of a man's health.

The Moon in the sunrise chart is in mid-TAU and square to Chiron... unanswered questions, worries, about a suffering person. The Moon is bi-quintile Neptune, which can be useful, but here, there is doubt, unsure about directions, how to proceed. The fact that transiting Moon is contra-parellel to Neptune complicates the matter further.

He is represented by Mars near Nadir (IC) in the horary chart ~ Mars will transit here between now (Oct. '07) to early May 2008. At this time, Mars is in trine to Mercury/SCORPIO, transiting the Eighth House. Mercury is quite active here, and a solution can be worked out during the month of October and November 2007. There is hope in finding a transplant.

Jupiter is moving towards a sextile with Neptune this month after seperating from a sextile to Chiron: doctors can find a liver but there are challenges (Jupiter square Uranus) that have to be navigated.

What will cause this to turn out for the positive, is persistance.

Mercury's transit, its station retrograde (Oct. 11) and its station direct (Nov. 2) will be tenuous. This means lots of communication, and planning for a transplant. His age, his own transits ~ especially secondary directed progressions ~ will reveal even more.

From the birth data you gave, what stands out is that transiting Saturn is conjoined to his natal South Lunar Node in Virgo. Transiting Saturn is opposed to his Mercury, which is conjoined to his North Lunar Node in Pisces (hard to communicate feelings).

He is having a nodal return, which arrives every 18/19 yrs., more or less, and with his natal Mars/Jupiter synod square to his lunar nodes, along with the Saturn's transit, and it's opposition to his natal Mercury the medical situation really needs to be corrected as soon as possible.

Venus, Jupiter and Saturn are most angular in this chart. This reflects the urgency, as Venus moves towards conjunction to Saturn, and the Dragon's Tail this October. I don't want to scare you, but it will be close if the doctors are unable to find a transplant soon. He most likely does not want to be scared, or to scare you, so, be at ease with him, and he will talk to you.

The water trines from Mercury (tropical Scorpio) and Mars (tropical Cancer) in October, and then again, in November 2007, really can help to ease things, while working to improve his health. It would help to have the medical condition improved this autumn, before the coming retrograde of Mars in mid-November, and the coming square to Mercury in mid-to-late December 2007.

Keep in touch, and update his progress.

All the best,
Theo

Carole,

Thank you.

I'm going to try and analyze this I'm a litle bit tired (4am right now).

1. Scorpio in the 7th house, rulership would be assigned to Mars.

2. Turned 6th house would be the 12th house ruled by Saturn. Illness is then represented by Saturn. Uranus is also in the 12th house.

3. His significator is in the 4th house (ruled by Cancer) and it's in a 0 degree (I don't really know if that makes a difference in horary) It's not in detriment nor exaltation. If we turn that it would be in the 11th house ruled by Jupiter.

Mars is in an angular house. Strong vitality and denies possibility of death?

His significator is not sharing the house with any malefics. There doesn't seem to be a strong indicator of No.

Theo,

Thank you for casting the sunrise chart. The transplant is out of the picture though. That must be why the solution could be worked out this month. The doctors found out the reason his liver was failing, or so he told me. The difficulty expressing his feelings is definitely there. He first tells me he's doing okay, then back to no I'm not doing okay, and there are some points where I don't know what to think.

He had been getting some shots for a trip abroad (hepatitis, all the bunch in a short period of time) and it affected his liver. His heart problems complicated matters further. His heart defects are the problem. He has a hole in his heart ( this caused his heart murmur) but I don't know to which extent. I'm going to talk to his doctors soon and hopefully they will tell me in more detail. I want to hear it from them. On another note, his cousin has more complications than he does, and he is only 18. Today he was rushed to the hospital. They are saying he might not last long.

So he's very stressed out about that, and his chest pains are getting worse. Everytime I am with him we talk about the same thing, mortality, and how he's afraid, how he doesn't want to die. I just cry. I can't do anything else.
We visited his aunt's grave over the weekend. I was coping the situation until we saw her grave together. 1965-1985. Exactly 20 years. He kept telling me he'd be down there soon. I've been missing classes. I'm depressed and I can't do anything. Two months or so ago I was on these forum trying to seek help for a heartbreak. I was silly. Nothing compares to what I'm facing now. I think over and over, How did I get myself into this?

I am worried about this urgency because know I don't if it can be fixed. He tells me there's nothing doctors can do but I feel as if he has accepted his destiny and he's not trying to do anything. If I were him, I'd be consulting every doctor around. He's just leading a normal life, trying to get through it and fulfill his dreams.

Thank you again. I feel much better after letting this all out. I've never had anyone die on me. We're both 20 and it doesn't feel normal to be in this situation. I sometimes think I dont want to be the one who goes on.

Re: Will his health improve?

Hello FLEETING DASEIN could you provide us with the natal chart data so I can try and tell you what is going wrong? Remember: date of birth, city and exact time.
I don't practise horary because I always felt more comfortable with the natal chart, most of all for health issues.
See you soon and wish you all the best, proluna8

Re: Will his health improve?

Proluna,

Forgive me, but might I inquire as to why it is that you are repeatedly requesting natal data from querent's submitting posts to the horary forum?

Quote:
I don't practise horary because I always felt more comfortable with the natal chart
I understand that you do not practice horary astrology, but I am sure that there are ample charts for you to attempt to interpret in the alloted section for such analyses, without hijacking the horary forum to deliver natal information to querents, who in fairness, have not made any such request.

If you wish to provide insights in response to a member's question via exploration of the nativity, would it be too much to ask that you suggest that the querent posts the question again, should they wish to do so, in the appropriate forum as well as in this one?

I moderate the horary forum by the way (when circumstances permit), just in case you thought I was some random person sticking my nose in for no reason. I'm just doing some overdue tidying up, and I felt that your misplaced posts needed to be addressed.

Forgive me, I'm a Virgo.

Thanks.

Re: Will his health improve?

Hello Draco, I am utterly sorry if I offended you and the people in the forum for that matter. If you look at my registration you will see I am new here and I did not know there were separate sections for matters like this. I even asked you directly the reason for the only-horary-section out of ignorance of my part.

Now, as I am a Virgo myself with a great deal of elements in signs of fire, I agree with you that things must be kept proper and in the correct places.

Far from my will to disturb or bother any of you AT ALL.

I would kindly ask you to please quote my complete sentences and not just parts of them, taken out of context they slightly change, don't you think.

And my last consideration, after having presented my sincere apologies, I thought we were all studying astrology to be useful sometime, and that is what I tried to do.

Mostly when I read that ARIAN MAVERICK (moderator) was asking to the rest of the forum to please help this person. Your answer by the way, seemed to me too technical for the poor lady asking for help.

Those were the reason for me to jump in: I was new here, I read ARIAN's request and I thought it could be a good opportunity for me to give a hand.

sincerily yours, Proluna8

Re: Will his health improve?

Dear FLEETING DASSEIN, I am extremely sorry for this confussion that has arised between DRACO and me, maybe you can read what we wrote to each other.
In order to be fair, I will kindly ask you to post your question again but in the section he says that corresponds to natal chart readings. Again, I am very sorry for my mistake.
But in honor to my way of seeing things I want you to know that I have read your friend's chart and he is indeed in a serious condition. You must be ready for difficult news, perhaps not the worst but we must discuss that in the appropiate section.
I give you an enormous hug and my best wishes for you to find what you need, love, Proluna8 (adriana)

Hi Adriana.

No, you didn't offend me at all, nor do I think you offended anyone else. I understand that you're a new member, which is why I politely referred you to the appropriate forum for natal considerations.

Great Draco, you are a good player (I don't even now if it is said like this, English is not my native language!!! and that probably helped me to be a little messier than usual)
Again I´m very sorry I made you feel I was a intruder (which I was) but you know? it's good you pointed me my mistake because I hate to be bullying and some people here could have seen me like that.
So, from one Virgo to another: thank you very much!!!
