Re: Playlist of the Week(music)

well, for years and years...to all us old Hippies... this was considered to be the only song of our era that was written about Halloween... [or, it may be quite old,,,but it was recorded during the era...]

...Why?...

...I don't know, I've never researched the matter...

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)

I've been jamming the new Eminem CD for weeks now. lol I love the new album, although I realize not a lot of people on this forum like rap.

There are quite a few songs that are on rotation on the radio stations. The first three + bezerk.

'The Monster' (my hubby's fav. song)
http://www.vevo.com/watch/eminem/the...o/USUV71302594

'Survival' (This song hypes me up! and is one of my fave)
http://www.vevo.com/watch/eminem/sur...t/USUV71302279

'Rap God' (No one can deny that he kills it. lol)
http://www.vevo.com/watch/eminem/rap...t/USUV71302661

'Legacy'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BoY963bs3I

'So Far'

'Love Game'

cool vibe, yo.. my uncle played bass and a little bit of banjo, jammed with him a couple of times... he's in a church band, sings bass... i imagine you would like their songs, they seem your style... gotta see if any are online...

can't help but love this song... (in spite of the beach bashing....)

just the way he sings over that bass line is so... unique

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)

Two more by John Hartford.... real favs of mine.

"Vamp In the Middle"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B21qhoKbmNE

John also played guitar and fiddle [violin] He got notes out of his banjo unlike anyone else could... he would use some rare and odd tunings and had a talent for bending notes into something never before heard nor heard since.

As I listed two songs above that have to do with Mr. Hartfords affection for a particular herbal pipe mixture that was his preferred smoke ...here's one more to ...ahem... "roll it all up" with.

"Holding" - John Hartford
