I have been going through a down phase in my life. I am 35 years, yet do not have a full time job and absolutely no savings. My current job is on a contract for one year at a university. This job does not pay well to support my family. So I am forced to do a part time general laborer job in a factory.
About 6 months ago I decided to quit a permanent scientist position back home (in India) and immigrated to Canada. It’s been almost five years since I finished my PhD in engineering (in Canada), but fail to settle. I am still financially struggling.
Now I go through a very depressing period- mainly due to the inability to secure a permanent job. I am scared that I would ever secure a full time job in my field.
