Does P.Fortune relate to happiness?

And what it means for every person based on their P.Fortune?
Cause I've come across some sites that relate it to where happiness lies.

The Part of Fortune was one of Ptolemy's favourite points and he believed that it was just as crucial as the ascendant and sun sign. The meaning of "fortune," however, should be thought of the same way as in the word "fortunate." It tells you what sort of activities in life will tend to be harmonious (compatible) with you. It doesn't mean that you should avoid everything else, just that a particular area is going to come more easily. In fact, the more meaningful things in life are those that don't come easily. The Part of Fortune should thus be seen as a sort of foundation. It's twin, the Part of Spirit, tells of a disposition of approach. The Part of Spirit describes how driven you tend to be naturally (without use of will). Please take note that it is ridiculously common for these two parts to be switched or just altogethered miscalculated.

Refering to the Persian uses of these parts, it was widely accepted that day births and night births were antithetical. In effect, they switched calculations depending on whether or not the Sun was up at the time. Here are the formulae as I know them:

Part of Fortune (day) = Asc + Moon - Sun
Part of Fortune (night) = Asc + Sun - Moon

Part of Spirit (day) = Asc + Sun - Moon
Part of Spirit (night) = Asc + Moon - Sun

You can see how this can get confusing if you don't already know exactly what you're doing. The even bigger problem is that these are derived numbers which depend on the ascendant. The ascendant, like the Earth, turns 1 degree every ~4 minutes. This means that if your birth time is only a little off, then you will see rapid, complex drift of the parts.

I know there are many who will disagree with me on this, but I personally believe that the point which needs to be measured is the time that the spirit reaches the body. That is the actual start of the life clock and varies between the physical birth time and up to 4.5 hours beforehand. This is the reason that I say every chart must be rectified. Even if there were someone with a pad and pencil watching the clock, waiting on that first breath, you still wouldn't have the right time. Every chart must be rectified if you want functional horoscopes. Otherwise, you're just producing some approximate information. Don't ever trust the house positions unless you have rectified the chart!

So what is my part of spirit?(first time I hear this)
Asc in Capricorn
Sun in Capricorn
Moon in Scorpio

I had no idea that the time you are born is so important and so influential

Why is it when I calculate Part of Fortune by this standard method, it comes out differently from the one in astro.com?

Skillcoil, there is a different formula for day/night births. You have the option in Astro.com, to change this to day formula by checking "Always use Day Formula for Pars Fortunae" option.

Manilius (14AD) gave great emphasis to the Part of Fortune in life chart delineation, and in fact erected the Wheel of Athla (wheel of the trials of life) based upon the Part of Fortune as ascendant, with the 11 other points of life at equal (30 degree) distances from it (like spokes in a wheel) This type of chart was widely used for delineation in Greco-Roman times, and was called a "Fortunata" Chart-see Robert Hand's article (available on the internet) on the Part of Fortune; for first-hand (original documentary) material, see Manilius "Astronomica" (I believe Book 4)...

“However, in the case of both significations one must keep in mind that no one indication in the chart, not even the Part of Fortune, can be taken by itself as a total indicator of any area of life. For health one must also look at the Ascendant, its ruler, the Moon and its ruler. Also the sixth and eighth houses as indicators of illness and death respectively have strong indications for health. For material prosperity one should also look at the second house, the tenth house, and their rulers.”

“The fortune indicated by this part is not necessarily materialistic or even tangible, though it can be. It depends on the sign and house location of the Part of Fortune. The benefit can be on the physical, intellectual, emotional, and/or spiritual plane of experience. In all cases it is through the cultivation and expression of this point that one will experience harmony and a sense of well-being.”

“The Part of Fortune represents worldly success, and is associated with the physical body and health as well. It can be indicative of the career or vocation. Worldly success and prosperity are associated with the Part of Fortune, and both its sign and house placement suggests innate abilities and talents--areas of life and qualities that are expressed naturally.”
