Dissociate aspects (out of sign aspects)????

Please, someone with quite a bit of knowledge out there help me?????? My moon is 27'33 Virgo and my husband's Sun is 0'30 Libra, we have Sun/Moon conjunct in different signs by 2'58. What does it mean to have two planets conjunct in different signs?

I was told by one particular astrologer "Out of sign conjunctions are not conjunctions, especially not with a 3 degree orb. Conjunctions must be in the same sign to have any impact."

I have read contradictory information. Anyone???

Astrologers disagree on the power of out-of-sign aspects. I use them, some astrologers don't. I don't see a problem with an aspect of 3 degrees or more. You both have a lot of planets in Virgo and Libra, so you probably are making all kinds of connections. That Mars conjunct Venus looks good, too.
