Progressed Venus in hard aspects to Pluto

My Progressed Venus is teetering on the last degree of Aries and will enter Taurus within a Month.

I have natal Pluto at 1 degree of Scorpio, so my progressed Venus will be opposing Pluto for the next few years.

Has anyone gone through progressed Venus conjunct / square or opposite Pluto, and if so what were your experiences during that time?

Re: Progressed Venus in hard aspects to Pluto

Yes, although for me it was transit Pluto square natal and then some years later progressed Venus.

The textbook description is a situation unfolding that almost seems to threaten your (emotional) survival and it is generated by people in your life represented by Venus so friends and significant others. Generally something happens which forces you to to re-evaluate yourself in terms of your relationships or even have to start over completely. Love triangles are possible and secret relationships of significant others also tend to come to light at this time and you can expect to get very, very jealous if you are involved with anyone.

Since you will be getting the opposition rather than a square you can expect some sort of power struggle between yourself and a loved one or more generally to have someone powerful strongly affect your values and finances. Certainly be very careful about any people who come into your life at this time as they can very well be after your money or some other possession of yours. Even if this scenario doesn't transpire there will be a generally unbalanced situation involving your relationships where values clash with power and/or you become acutely aware of the power of your values.
Watch for obsessive people (stalkers come to mind) as they can be inordinately attracted to you at this time.

I have not heard of very positive expressions of this combination but maybe there have been some and someone can chime in.

Only if your progressed Venus slows way down as it comes to station/Rx as it nears culmination with Pluto. Progressed aspects are only active when within just minutes of arc from exact (000-05')

Yes, I went through prog Venus square natal Pluto in the last couple months of 1991 and first couple weeks of 1992. I was in my early 20s and still living with my parents. Had some conflicts with them over personal privacy, and at the end of the (05' orb) aspect I found out my best friend's mother had died. During prog Venus' culminating square to prog Pluto, which happened the previous summer I moved back in with my parents after living on my own working in another town. This re-entry with them was stressful, particularly as my mother used it as an opportunity to reassert control and dominance, which set up the stresses to come later.

Hard progressed aspects of Venus/Pluto can bring out underlying matters of control/dominance in close relationships, especially with women. Often one person plays Venus to the other person's Pluto/dominator role. The key is to be assertive in such a way to re-balance the dynamic in which both parties can get respect as adults rather than remain in a people-pleasing posture or an unnecessarily subordinate position.

Re: Progressed Venus in hard aspects to Pluto

Ok, this should be interesting. Good to know at least the duration will be less than I had originally thought.

Kannon, what house is your Pluto located in and what cusp is Scorpio on (in the reolcated chart if you had moved during this transit)?

My Pluto is in the 11th house, it should be interesting how this plays out. I'll update this thread with my experience for the sake of science after it's over, incase anyone searches for this as I did.

I'd want to know what houses they are in and which ones they rule, to get more specific.

But the Progressed Venus leaving Fire and entering Earth is a shift in consciousness just by itself. Then adding the Pluto opposition @ 1 Scorpio,----that is pretty MAGICKAL, and deep and metaphysical.

Venus @1Taurus opposing Pluto @ 1 Scorpio is metaphysical gold.

It is Amazing and Cosmic in it's Purity and Perfection---- yet it skirts dangerous territory because it is so Powerful and one might feel entitled or tempted to test fate?

This next few weeks is a good time to assess yourself--look realistically at what your deepest desires are and what you are willing to do to attain them.

Look closely and introspectively at your feelings towards your lover[s] and your closest most intimate relations. Are they working for you and them?

Are you needs being met? Are you fulfilling theirs?

It is the perfect time to try and make these assessments NOW because in the next few months there might be a whirlwind of emotions/change/upheaval that comes at you. Or from within you...

Trying to get a realistic handle on it now can help you stay calm and reasoned, even though your feeling turbulence and chaotic feelings...

Sometimes when Venus progresses to an opposition with Pluto or Uranus, there is a traumatic emotional shift that rears it's head.

Perhaps One's spouse comes out of the blue with devastating news or demands. Or one's own inner feelings change/shift dramatically and one may not feel invested in their marriage or partnership anymore---inexplicably at times.

Sometimes one's inner desires/needs radically shift. One no longer wants to be the owner of their successful company. Or no longer wants to pursue their life long dream. It can be very unsettling.

Again, the houses and rulerships will describe more closely which areas of life it will entail. [ Although Venus/Taurus==Pluto/Scorpio seems to indicate strains and stresses in love life and creative expression of artistic talents/gifts]

Re: Progressed Venus in hard aspects to Pluto

I just saw your post saying that your Pluto is in the 11th, so your Pr.Venus will be in your 5th.

The 5th/11th has always been kind of a conundrum to me. What does that axis really represent? The keywords just do not do it for me. 50 years of studying Astrology and I cannot really explain what the 5th/11 truly mean...

Maybe you will be able to tell us after your profound experiences with the Venus/Pluto epiphanies?

You might alter your desires and goals tremendously over the next year or two?

Your friendship circle may have a tremendous shift. Maybe even an implosion at first.

Your decisions/plans about raising or not raising children may be revisited or modified...your urges and needs and beliefs about what you need to be 'happy' may shift tremendously.

Thanks for that info, it sounds like it could get pretty intense. Venus has now progressed into Taurus and I swear can already a feel a subtle difference.

Progressed Venus is at 0'00 Taurus actually in the progressed 4th house (or natal 5th) opposing progressed Pluto at 0'26 Scorpio in the 10th ruler of the progressed 11th. Natal Pluto is at 1'21 Scorpio in the 11th ruler of 1st.

I haven't followed my progressions that much so far so I'm still determining what the different effects are for aspects of progressed planets to other progressed planets vs to natal planets.
