Hello there! I wonder if the astronomical alignment of mercury, venus, mars, saturn and jupiter has any astrological implications. I haven't seen anything about it on regular astrology web sites, it is just a physical/astronomic event or there is something special going on about it?

visible for quite some time, so good opportunity to observe local skies personally

Yes, astrologers will look at this carefully and has mighty powers on all our lives on earth. Last Jan. 21st, the 5 visible planets aligned with the Moon too and the Moon is next to the Sun in the most astrological significance.
