Does anybody know how to use this ?

https://horoscopes.astro-seek.com/annual-profections-astrology-calculator

Im unsure of the profection key and period age drop boxes, what do they need to be set at ?

Hi Chrysalis,

1) if you want to calculate the traditional "Hellenistic Annual Profections"?
(Chris Brennan is talking about this technique in his video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBwfIMnBKZk )

=> then you don't need to set anything; just keep the default settings and you will get the table of your Annual time-lords for your current age:
https://i.imgur.com/osNXhGY.gif

(hint: you might set the Period, Age to "0-100 years" ... and you will get the list of your annual time-lords during your entire life)

2) The other option: "Continous profections" are actually "Symbolic arc progressions" using various profection/progression arc keys.
if you want to experiment with this kind of profections/progressions, just experiment with the "profection key":
- 1° for 1 year;
- 12° for 1 year (1° for 1 month);
- 30° for 1 year;
- 360° for 1 year;
and you will see how your entire chart is moved by this profection arc in the bi-wheel chart:
https://i.imgur.com/sO9nNT1.gif

(hint: there is an option "Browse time" - so you might just click forward/backward and see this continous movement)

Ha ha, i watched this yesterday, but Chris seems to forget to mention the rotated Asc (that id been reading about on here), hence why i then went onto your site to get a chart done for me, to see how the ascendent sign changes. I understand now though...finally.

Hi kaktuzz an idea for a Lunar Phases Fertility Calendar option :smile:

An astrological method calculates most fertile days each month
said to be helpful in pinpointing the particular five days each month
when conception is most likely to occur
based on the astrology of the natal chart

HOW TO GENERATE CHARTS TO EXPERIMENT WITH THE METHOD

astro.com's 'Extended Chart Selection' page has an option to choose 'special charts'.

A 'pop up' menu appears when a small triangle is clicked on, notice the last choice is the 'Lunar Phases Fertility Calendar'

- select that and then click to view the twelve month calendar with most likely montly conception dates for the chosen year - based on natal astrological information.

Most likely Conception dates are highlighted in red

Either a Venus or a Mars logo above each area accentuated in red indicates whether a child conceived at that time is most probably male or female

The idea is Venus logo = Girl
Mars logo = Boy

kaktuzz you are efficient as well as generous - thankyou! :smile:
we often have questions on this issue
and it's so useful to in future be able to direct the member
to a simple, swift calculator of the method

thanks for kind words! :innocent:

btw I just recently finished and launched new astro tool - "chart graphic layout customizer":

horoscopes.astro-seek.com/natal-chart-online-custom-graphic-layout-calculator

it allows to customize own/preferred chart style graphics with various options and filter effects:

- Layout style: Planets only/Planets + Degreees/Planets + Degrees + Signs/+House cusps degrees

- Planet glyphs - Black/Colored
- Planet degrees - None/Black/Colored
- House cusp degrees - None/Inside/Outside

- Optional: Background colors
- Optional: Element colors (Air & Earth)
- Optional: B&W, Sepia, Inversion filter color effect

would you like to have similar option also for traditinal astrology chart?
or is the current traditional graphics OK?

Personally kaktuzz, I find the current traditional graphics clear :smile:

however
other traditional members may appreciate those other options
that you highlighted

so I would say do offer these extra options
as I think many may find them useful

hehe, me too :)

I got used to this simple/clear graphics many years ago (very similar graphics is used in my astro software) ... but I received various personal feedbacks (one was missing planet degrees; other was missing planet signs; other was missing house cusp degrees; someone else said, that planet signs are completely redundant; someone else said, that house numbers are completely redundant; etc etc...) so I rather created this "customizer".

OK - I will probably try to create similar "customizer" also for the TA chart ... I see that these personal preferences might be also among traditional astrologers :)

New feature again :)

Tropical vs. Sidereal - Simple calculator for quick overview between both zodiacs:

horoscopes.astro-seek.com/tropical-vs-sidereal-zodiac-astrology-calculator
cheers kaktuzz thanks :smile:
I have Rumen Kolevs PORPHYRIURS MAGUS
which I use in tandem with zoidsofts DELPHIC ORACLE
however
often it's simpler to use your site initially
as it is so userfriendly
the charts are easy to upload to the forum
and most important, accurate
the new option of a quick overview between the two zodiacs
is an inspired idea

Thanks JUPITERASC! :smile:

I just recently (last week) bought DELPHIC ORACLE license to get some new inspiration.
And that software is really great!

I hope that I will bring & implement some new calculations also in the future :tongue:

Great news kaktuzz :smile:
meanwhile I found an online Void of Course Schedule 2019 September & October
at https://www.moontracks.com/void_of_course_moon_dates.html
that may inspire you to provide similar options at some stage
There are differences clearly, between Sidereal and Tropical void of course Moon

Thanks for new inspiration! :)

I intentionally avoided to implement Void of Course calendar because I have never clearly understood the formula ... and now I just googled more about it and there are really various interpretations/calculation methods:

1) take into account aspect orbs VS. don't take into account aspect orbs (only the exact aspects matter)
2) take into account Uranus/Neptune/Pluto aspects VS. don't take into account Uranus/Neptune/Pluto aspects
3) Tropical x Sidereal

I guess it could be a nice future project with lots of options to implement :))

For example: this Moon is supposed to be Void of Course according the calendar;
however it's in very tight applying aspect/opposition to Venus (Orb: 0°28') before it leaves Pisces->Aries

should it be considered as VoC or not? :tongue:
