Parental axis in Equal House system

In the Equal House system ....

Are the parents represented by the MC-IC axis and their rulers, or by the 4th house/10th house axis and their rulers?

Thank you.

Re: Parental axis in Equal House system

Could be both, but (as a whole signer, which is very close to Equal house) I have always used the 4th and 10 HOUSES (rather than the precise MC and IC degrees) for this purpose.
