What are you really asking us to ponder on this topic?

Yes most people believe in free will and don't believe planets bind them or control them. What else?

Has anyone else read, that originally Venus was considered a masculine and rather war like entity?

Now, Venus is associated to Taurus first, and Libra second. If there is another planet of representation for one of them, it will be for Libra. Taurus is first and as with how planets have been assigned thus far, the new planet would be for Libra.

Originally, Venus was Inanna/Ishtar, "Queen of the Heavens", in ancient Sumeria. She was a goddess of erotic love, truth, and Justice. But, her father was the Moon god, not goddess, as in Greco-Roman religion! Venus was seen to have a dual nature, Love as the "Evening-star", and Justice as Morning-star.
In Greco-Roman religion, the other inner-planet, Hermes/Mercury was both god of merchants and travelers, as well as god of thieves.

The Maya Were Tracking the Planets Long Before Copernicus
To the Maya, VENUS was the god of war
and
VENUS was believed to beam down evil rays
bringing death and destruction.

Maya astronomers therefore made very careful records of the planet VENUS
and a ritual calendar was based on it.
An ancient Mayan Text called the Dresden Codex
contains detailed recordings of the phases of Venus in its Venus Table, on pages 46 to 50.
