Birth day: 23rd november 1977
Time: 2.35 AM
Place: Ambasamudram, Tamilnadu, India (8.7000° N, 77.4700° E; GMT +5.5)
Star: Ashwini
Lagna (Asc): Virgo (Kanni)
Rashi (Moon Sign): Mesha (Aries)


I have my dasamsa and navamsha. I shall provide it below:

Navamsha lagna: Mesha. I have venus in 1st house, moon in 2nd house (taurus), jupiter at 10th house; Mars in 8th house (own house, scorpio); Sun in Virgo, Mercury in 11th house, Saturn and rahu in 3rd house, ketu in 9th house.

Dasamsa lagna: Virgo. I have jup and sun in 1st house, saturn in libra(2nd house), rahu in 3rd house, mercury in pisces (7th house), Moon/venus/kethu in 9th house, mars in 12 th house (leo)

Also, I find calculating the divisional charts based on vakya method or lahiri method gives different charts. I did not find big changes in rashi chart except the pada of my birth star. Is that generally seen by everyone?

Dear Shantharam ji,

No, this is my first time consulting with you here. Thank you for taking your time. I never went serious on astrology. But in the past few months, I started looking into it seriously.. My mind says that there might be a "pattern" that dictates the personality, profession etc. Especially, when my father consulted an astrologist worrying about moon in 8th. I went through a serious mental trouble in the past 10 years or so. I had to take medical intervention. Yet, I managed to obtain a PH.D and I am a scientist, a very curious one. I love fine arts (music and painting). My mind is ambitious.. always imagining moving into greater heights.. Now I am reading my own chart and trying to understand my planetary positions. My marriage was a late one aswell.. i got married only sept 2013 at the age of 35.

You mentioned that venus, the lord of 2nd is aspecting 8 th house ( house of sudden changes) which is Aries in my lagna chart. In my navamsha, venus sits in aries. Does this enhance the effect of this aspect? Does this mean that there will be sudden change in my earnings ( both increase and decrease)?

My navamsha has moon in 2nd house (taurus) but it is in 8th house in my lagna. Also, mars, the lord of 8th house is in 11 th house (deb) in my lagna chart and it is in its own house ( 8th house) in my navamsha. How does this translate in terms of the effects of deb. mars?

venus 8th aspects own libra 2nd protective/supportive of finances may be sudden inflows, while as lord 9th negates to the 8th negating luck factor/support from father etc. venus aries impulsive in inter-personal interactions, venus benefic 8th weak in coping with major challenges probably, venus 8th prone to urological disorders, kidney troubles, etc
