A 12 house Sun is a marker for someone who was an important, prominent person in a past life, was well known, and received public attention. In this life you deliberately chose to have a more normal life, and may have to work behind the scenes. This placement tends to result in a feeling that one never receives the attention and recognition that is deserved. Delay or lack or recognition can be a difficult lesson for the 12h Sun, especially when as in your case, the Sun is in a mutable sign. In past lives you formed your self-identity upon your public persona. In this life you are to learn who you really are. Identity must come from within.
