US official to Israeli diplomat: “This is our ****in’ house”

Ron Dermer was pushing the administration to sign an agreement which basically said that Israel is under no obligation to join the nuclear non-proliferation treaty. US officials, the report declared, “felt Dermer was behaving as if he was in charge.” The New Yorker declared that “Dermer had acted as though he owned the White House.”

If you want to boycott the US government for the crimes committed by US officials, will you be labeled anti-American? Probably not. If you keep chanting that Trump is right in passing a bill forbidding Muslims to come to America, will the Zionist media call you an anti-Muslim? Of course not.

Criticizing Muslims in the political parlance is permissible and even desirable by the powers that be. Criticizing Japan for the attack on Pearl Harbor—even though it was provoked—is not anti-Japanese. But criticizing Israel for its incessant crimes against the Palestinians has slowly become a crime. In fact, this issue is already being boiled up in Washington:

“The House Committee on Foreign Affairs unanimously passed a measure on Thursday that would give the Trump administration power to decide how to punish U.S. companies that engage in or promote boycotts of Israel — including through criminal penalties.”[1]

This is another piece of evidence which clearly indicates that the Trump administration is in the pockets of the Israeli regime. If you still think that this is farfetched, then listen to this Time of Israel report entitled, “Trump signed secret pledge to safeguard Israeli nukes.”[2] It reads:

“US President Donald Trump has reportedly signed a secret letter pledging not to strong-arm the Jewish state into relinquishing its nuclear weapons. The US president’s backing came after Israel’s ambassador to the United States reportedly pressured the administration last year, raising the ire of American officials.

“The rare moment of tension between the Israeli government and Trump White House in February 2017 came a month after Trump entered office and was said to devolve into yelling and profanity…”[3]

The Trump administration knows that Israel, as former US secretary of defense Robert Gates once put it, is an “ungrateful ally.” Gates once declared that Benjamin Netanyahu himself was “endangering his country by refusing to grapple with Israel’s growing isolation and with the demographic challenges it faces if it keeps control of the West Bank.”[4]

Ron Dermer

This is certainly not news to the Trump administration, which is now seeing that the Israeli regime never stops asking unreasonable and irresponsible demands. At one point, one US official in the Trump administration burst out and screamed at Israeli political consultant and diplomat Ron Dermer saying, “This is our ****in’ house.”[5]

What was Dermer asking? Well, he was pushing the administration to sign an agreement which basically said that Israel is under no obligation to join the nuclear non-proliferation treaty. US officials, the report declared, “felt Dermer was behaving as if he was in charge.”[6] The New Yorker declared that “Dermer had acted as though he owned the White House.”[7]

The Israeli regime has been playing this diabolical game since the beginning of time. In fact, the regime aspires that all US officials would abide by their Talmudic ideology. Dermer also wanted to let the Trump administration know that Israel will never discuss its nuclear arsenal publicly,[8] despite the fact that Benjamin Netanyahu continues to run around like a wild animal screaming at the top of his lung that Iran is not abiding by the non-proliferation treaty.

This is indeed a blatant contradiction. There is no way that the Israelis would get away with it in a rational and sane world, a world in which the rule of law is practiced. During the first term of his administration, Barack Obama attempted to challenge the Israeli double standard with respect to nuclear weapons. As one Israeli official declared, “With Obama, we were all crazy.”[9]

That was not farfetched, for Obama delivered a lecture in which he declared that “America’s commitment to seek the peace and security of a world without nuclear weapons.”[10] The Obama’s administration quickly discovered “how paranoid Bibi was that Obama was going to try to take away Israel’s nuclear weapons.”[11]

Obama eventually succumbed to the Israeli orbit, saying things such as

“We discussed issues that arose out of the nuclear-nonproliferation conference. And I reiterated to the Prime Minister that there is no change in U.S. policy when it comes to these issues.

“We strongly believe that, given its size, its history, the region that it’s in, and the threats that are levelled against . . . it, that Israel has unique security requirements. It’s got to be able to respond to threats or any combination of threats in the region. And that’s why we remain unwavering in our commitment to Israel’s security. And the United States will never ask Israel to take any steps that would undermine their security interests.”[12]

Granted, Obama did challenge Netanyahu on numerous fronts. In fact, he realized that Netanyahu is a pathological liar.

“Over time, Obama and his advisers came to believe that Netanyahu had been playing them, occasionally feigning interest in a two-state solution while expanding settlements in the West Bank, thus making the creation of a viable Palestinian state increasingly difficult to conceive.

“By Obama’s second term, his aides no longer bothered to mask their frustration with the Israelis. ‘They were never sincere in their commitment to peace,’ Benjamin Rhodes, one of Obama’s closest foreign-policy advisers, told me. ‘They used us as cover, to make it look like they were in a peace process. They were running a play, killing time, waiting out the Administration.’

“The relationship between Obama and Netanyahu grew more poisonous every year. In 2012, Obama’s team suspected that the Israeli leadership backed Mitt Romney’s Presidential campaign. Tensions between Susan Rice, Obama’s national-security adviser, and Ron Dermer were so fierce that they never met alone.

“Administration became convinced that Netanyahu, after years of threatening to use force against Iran, was bluffing, that he was really trying to goad the Americans into taking a harder line and even launching strikes of their own. One of Obama’s advisers was quoted as calling Netanyahu a ‘chickenshit,’ causing a diplomatic uproar.

“Not everyone close to Obama regretted the epithet. One of the President’s top aides told another, ‘The only problem with the quote was that it wasn’t strong enough. It should have been ‘chickenshit ************.’”[13]

Right before he left office, former secretary of state John Kerry produced a devastating blow on the Israeli settlements. As the New Yorker puts it again:

“Secretary of State John Kerry brought to the White House a stack of maps of the West Bank that were prepared by the State Department and vetted by U.S. intelligence agencies. Kerry spread out the maps on a large coffee table.

“As Frank Lowenstein, one of Kerry’s top advisers, put it to me, the maps allowed him to see “the forest for the trees.” When the settlement zones, the illegal outposts, and the other areas off limits to Palestinian development were consolidated, they covered almost sixty per cent of the West Bank.”[14]

But Obama never had the courage to tell Benjamin Netanyahu that Israel needs to sign the non-proliferation treaty, a double standard which Iran consistently raises to this very day.[15] In fact, Netanyahu knew that his political move would be viewed as crazy in a court of law. “‘It looked like a brain tumor,’ an official who attended the session told me. ‘No matter what metric you’re using—existing blocs, new settlements, illegal outposts—you’re confronting the end of the two-state solution.’”[16]

When the Palestinians planned to join the International Criminal Court, Netanyahu quickly got on the phone and told Obama’s advisers bluntly, “This is a nuclear warhead aimed at my crotch!”[17]

There you have it. Bibi knows that he won’t have a political or ideological crotch if the rule of law is applied consistently to Israel. All he can do is cross his fingers and hope that US presidents will eventually follow his diabolical plan. So far, Trump got his back. Trump has become is finest puppet, even though Trump and his administration knows pretty well that Israel is not a grateful ally.

The Trump-formation of America: Another US-Israel parallel

Donald Trump’s presidency is intended to be the final stage of the transformation of the US from a democratic nation into a totalitarian police state. In short, Trump is going to turn the US into a copy of Israel.

The signs have been there since 9-11 – the infiltration of the NSA, FBI, CIA, DHS, Pentagon and most other organs of the federal monolith by Israeli assets, often joint US-Israeli citizens; the militarisation of the police, with many of them being re-trained in Israel; need I go on, the changes of the last 15 years are clear to see.
Then there is this stupid wall, a copy of the Israeli barriers designed to keep the undesirable natives away from the chosen people; Mexicans and Latins rather than Palestinians and Arabs, but equally undesirable to the Zionist Trump regime.
the societal changes being pushed by Israeli assets throughout the media, especially in Hollywood and the world of TV production.

Trump isn’t overseeing this process, that is the job of his team, lead by Bannon and Kushner, Trump is merely an orange puppet,

Russiagate: DC judge throws out collusion lawsuit against Trump

A Washington DC judge has thrown out a lawsuit alleging the Trump campaign colluded with Russia and Wikileaks to publish hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee in 2016.

The suit, filed by two DNC donors and one former DNC employee, argued that ‘Russian agents’ gained access to the DNC’s networks, and distributed emails in a “deliberate campaign to interfere in the US election and tilt its outcome in favor of Donald Trump.”

Introduction by the Senior Editor
The Russian press, Sputnik and Russia Today, has been running sleazy and childish **** defending Trump for the last 2 months, propaganda so bad it is though they were trying to take the new focus off Israel, where it sits now, and put it back on themselves.
It is our assessment that much of the Russian press is CIA infiltrated and working for the same gang that really rigged the election, all about rampant corruption and very little about war and politics, except as a business.
The article below is typical. What it fails to point out early on is that a judge tossed out the suit based on venue, not substance. The judge here is one of the very few “straight shooters” on the DC court, which is packed with vet haters and police state clones.
Our issue is with Russia Today and our expectations for them. They are one of the few well funded new organizations to openly report on Syria and other issues, sometimes in defense of Russia but more often, just simple truth when such a thing doesn’t really exist.
A threat against them is a very serious threat against the last vestiges of free speech. The last of which in the US is, sadly, tiny little Veterans Today and the blue ribbon staff of editors and writers put together so many years ago by the Senior Editor, me.
I had no idea we would be “last man standing.” ~ Gordon

Russiagate: DC judge throws out collusion lawsuit against Trump

A Washington DC judge has thrown out a lawsuit alleging the Trump campaign colluded with Russia and Wikileaks to publish hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee in 2016.

The suit, filed by two DNC donors and one former DNC employee, argued that ‘Russian agents’ gained access to the DNC’s networks, and distributed emails in a “deliberate campaign to interfere in the US election and tilt its outcome in favor of Donald Trump.”
It then alleges that the Trump campaign, along with former adviser Roger Stone, worked with Russia and Wikileaks to publish the hacked information. It cites meetings at Trump Tower between Trump campaign staff and a “Kremlin connected” lawyer as proof of the collusion.

The donors, Roy Cockrum and Eric Schoenberg, claim that the emails deterred other potential donors from supporting the Democratic party. They also allege that scammers used their personal details to try to commit identity theft and credit fraud.
The DNC employee, Scott Comer, claims that the emails revealed his sexuality, medical information, and other gossip to the world, damaging his reputation with family and friends. After the publication of the emails, he claims he received menacing phone calls, with some calling him a “faggot” and threatening violence.
District Judge Ellen Segal Huvelle dismissed the suit on Tuesday evening, arguing that the Trump campaign was not sufficiently tied to Washington DC, and the suit was therefore outside her jurisdiction. She did not take a position on the suit’s allegations.
“It bears emphasizing that this Court’s ruling is not based on a finding that there was no collusion between defendants and Russia during the 2016 presidential election,” she wrote. “This is the wrong forum for plaintiffs’ lawsuit. The Court takes no position on the merits of plaintiffs’ claims.”

‘Sound conclusions’: Senate panel backs ‘Russiagate’ intel report

President Donald Trump and his campaign staff have repeatedly denied charges of conspiring with Russian actors in the runup to the 2016 election.
After two years and almost $20 million dollars spent, White House Special Counsel Robert Mueller has thus far failed to find any evidence of collusion from the Trump team. Instead, Mueller has indicted campaign staff on unrelated charges, like former campaign chairman Paul Manafort’s decade-old bank and tax fraud charges.
After a year-long investigation, The House Intelligence Committee published a report in April which also found that there was no Russian collusion in 2016.
Nevertheless, Democrats have not let the specter of collusion slip away. One week before the House Intelligence Committee report was released, the DNC itself filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against the Trump campaign, the Russian government, and WikiLeaks.
The suit was described by the Trump campaign as “a last-ditch effort to substantiate the baseless Russian collusion allegations by a nearly-bankrupt Democratic Party still trying to counter the will of the people in the 2016 presidential election.”
A spokesperson at the Russian Foreign Ministry called it “a kind of attempt by the Democrats to justify their defeat.”
Even if the lawsuit was built on solid evidence, the DNC might find it difficult to actually sue Russia, as other nations enjoy immunity from US lawsuits.

Collusion by any definition’: Legal expert uncovers ‘clear pattern’ of Trump ‘criminal’ conspiracy with Russia

Seth Abramson, a professor and legal analyst, on Thursday provided what he said was “evidence of criminal collusion” between President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and the Russian government.
In a massive Twitter thread, Abramson said that there was a “clear pattern” of actions taken by the Trump campaign before and after the election which points to a conspiracy to undermine U.S. sanctions against RussiaAbramson came to the conclusion that there was “likely” collusion with Russia after examining the Trump campaign’s activities in four European countries — Italy, Greece, Hungary and Austria — which wanted sanctions to be lifted.

“As it’s illegal to accept anything of value from a foreign national as part of a campaign, negotiate U.S. policy if one hasn’t been elected, or aid/abet crimes committed against America by other nations, there was *no reason* for Trump to be in contact with these four nations,” Abramson wrote. “So if we detected a *clear pattern* of Trump aides not *only* secretly reaching out to foreign nations, but *exclusively reaching out to nations working to end sanctions on Russia*, and if we saw that pattern in *pre-election behavior*, it’d be evidence of criminal collusion.”

The legal analyst went on to break down the Trump campaign’s actions in each country.

“What is obvious is that *all* of Trump’s top aides—not just a few of them—targeted, and not just after the election but *during the election*, making as many covert contacts and having as many covert negotiations with Russia, Italy, Hungary, and Greece as they possibly could,” Abramson observed. “There’s *no* doubt that Trump was negotiating U.S. sanctions policy during the election and—I must add—both before, during, and *after* the revelation of Russian crimes against the United States. This is collusion (frankly even the meetings are collusion) by *any* definition.”

“Whether Trump also *coordinated* with Russian *hacking* is a separate question—and the jury is still out on that, though the Don Jr.-WikiLeaks secret messages are starting to tell that story,” he concluded. “But collusion on sanctions, and thus aiding and abetting Russian crimes? *Yes*.”

Secret Campaign to Clean Trump’s Mob Connections Enters High Gear

Inside the Online Campaign to Whitewash the History of Donald Trump’s Russian Business Associates Who is paying bloggers on the other side of the globe to scrub the Internet of Trump’s Russian business ties?

A mystery client has been paying bloggers in India and Indonesia to write articles distancing President Donald Trump from the legal travails of a mob-linked former business associate.
Spokespeople for online reputation management companies in the two countries confirmed that they had been paid to write articles attempting to whitewash Trump’s ties to Felix Sater, a Russian-born businessman who, with former Russian trade minister Tevfik Arif, collaborated with the Trump Organization on numerous real estate deals from New York to the former Soviet Union.
The campaign appears designed to influence Google search results pertaining to Trump’s relationship with Sater, Arif, and the Bayrock Group, a New York real estate firm that collaborated with Trump on a series of real estate deals, and recruited Russian investors for potential Trump deals in Moscow.
Sater—who once had an office at New York’s Trump Tower, Trump Organization business cards, and claims to have worked as a senior adviser to Trump—has recently emerged as a key figure in the federal investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
In the lead-up to the election, Sater worked extensively with Trump attorney Michael Cohen in a failed effort to build a Trump Tower in Moscow with the aid of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, which Sater said would help Trump win the presidency. According to statements made by Cohen last year, Trump personally signed-off on the project.

American Self-haters Gave Trump the Keys to the Kingdom

Health Editor’s Note: Trump had his largest numbers of voters in counties where the rates of alcohol, drug, and suicide-related mortality were the highest. This is a reflection of the self-loathing felt by those who chronically use prescription opioids. America had such a huge chunk of its society suffering from so much pessimism, that they voted for a freak. They were desperate to find relief from their despair, whatever its cause.
Excessive opioid use is a sign of both social and economic issues and Trump played to those who were already suffering. So now we have a president who was elected by those who were so desperate that they lost all hope and their common sense and now they have reason to be in deeper despair as our gas prices are skyrocketing for no real economic reason, Trump plays childish games with countries who have or do not have nuclear weapons, Trump makes himself and America a laughing stock of the world, Trump encourages hatred of other nations/nationalities, Trump is incompetent at managing any world relationship, Trump speaks out of both sides of his mouth, Trump encourages religious discrimination, Trump will mindlessly tweet us into our next world war, Trump keeps the pervasive feeling of fear alive with rumors of cuts to sections of government that keep people alive with their assistance, Trump has put us into the trade “toilet”, Trump had no real business background and I will mention again, his horrible positions on immigration, less regulation for big business, throws away any reigns on environmental controls, gives away federal land, and rather than go on with Trump’s selfish acts, just a plain horrible moral character. Our last presidential “election” was in no way an election and when you play on people’s feelings of hopelessness, for whatever the reason, you (Trump) are lower than the lowest. Shame on you!..Carol
High Opioid-Use Counties Voted Trump in 2016
Opioids are symptom, symbol of ‘larger social and economic problems’
by Elizabeth Hlavinka, MedPage Today Intern
Counties with the highest rates of chronic prescription opioid use were far more likely to back Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election, a new study of Medicare claims data found.
Trump took 59.96% of the vote in the 693 counties with opioid prescription rates significantly higher than the national average among counties, compared with 38.67% of the vote in the 638 counties with rates significantly lower than the mean, reported James Goodwin, MD, of the University of Texas Medical Branch Sealy Center on Aging, and colleagues in JAMA Network Open.
The cross-sectional study found that a county’s vote for Trump correlated with the adjusted rate of Medicare Part D enrollees receiving long-term opioid prescriptions (intraclass correlation coefficient of 0.42, P<0.001). As a control for specificity, they also looked at insulin prescriptions but found no correlation with voting patterns.
“Opioids are a symptom and a symbol of much larger social and economic problems, and those social and economic problems came to bear during the 2016 election,” Shannon Monnat, PhD, Lerner Chair for Public Health Promotion at Syracuse University in New York, told MedPage Today.
Monnat, who was not involved in the current study, reported shortly after the 2016 election that Trump also over-performed in counties with the highest rates of drug-, alcohol- and suicide-related mortality, all of which are tied together by pessimism, frustration and despair, she said.
“What seems to be coming through pretty consistently in this research now is at the core of substance misuse and the overdose crisis is really disconnection and isolation,” she said. “Work, family, community — those are the three most important arenas through which we assign meaning in our lives.”
The current study from Goodwin’s group examined the association between voting patterns in 3,100 of 3,142 U.S. counties and the rate of chronic opioid use among 20% (3,764,361) of all Medicare Part D enrollees. In high-use counties — which were concentrated mostly in the South and Appalachian areas –greater than 20.10% of Medicare Part D enrollees studied had opioid prescriptions for 90 days or more compared with 10.85% of those in low-use counties.
The authors noted that approximately two-thirds of the association found in the study can be attributed to socioeconomic characteristics — particularly income disparities, disability and unemployment — but that presumably all of the association between opioid use and voting patterns could be explainable by “socioeconomic, legal, environmental, and cultural factors” if more data were available.
The high opioid-use counties were more likely to be rural, have more unemployment (9.48% versus 8.13%), and had a larger proportion of the population comprised of non-Hispanic whites (85% versus 79%). The median household income was lower in these counties ($45,268 versus $60,577 in low opioid-use counties; P<0.001 for all).
In a general sense, opioid users and Trump voters shared economic stressors and the sense of being isolated, forgotten or overlooked, Goodwin told MedPage Today. Individuals in these communities were dissatisfied with the status quo and wanted radical change, he said.
Monnat added that these counties contain fewer social and recreational facilities and are also characterized by higher levels of family distress — more single-parent families, higher divorce rates — which can contribute to the use of opioids.
“Given that both candidates focused on opiate addiction as a major campaign issue, it is difficult to infer that opiate prescription rates are somehow linked with voting behavior based on the candidates’ respective campaign promises and/or platforms,” wrote James Niels Rosenquist, MD, PhD, of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, in a commentary that accompanied the study, who added that the study “findings add to a growing body of literature showing the interrelationship between public (mental) health and society, including the all-important economic and political realms.”
“When you discuss the opioid epidemic, it is discussed in public health terms and the solutions tend to be public health solutions such as education, prevention, and treatment centers, which are critically important,” Goodwin said. “If there’s an implication of our study it’s that we have to broaden our discussion and understanding about some of the issues behind the opioid crisis.”
Eighteen percent of the Medicare recipients in the study were younger than 65 years, and 60.6% were female; 81.1% were non-Hispanic white, 9.3% were non-Hispanic black, and 5.3% were Hispanic.
Among those ages 65 and older, chronic opioid users were more likely to be disabled (OR 2.72), have end-stage renal disease (OR 1.37), or have one or more comorbidities (OR 3.64 for three or more), and more frequently were women (15.2% versus 11.9%).
Study limitations included the fact that associations were made at a county level between the presidential vote and opioid use, instead of at an individual level. However, Gallup interviews with county residents found that community feelings of poverty and poor health were equally if not more influential in voting patterns than individual economic factors, proving the importance of such contextual effects on opioid use. Additionally, prescriber behavior and the use of non-prescription opioids (which are the cause of half of opioid-related deaths), were not examined.
Goodwin reported no disclosures. Co-authors reported relationships with the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Physicians for Responsible Opioid Prescribing, and the American College of Medical Toxicology

If all of the paranoid, delusional ravings of some people were true, don't they think Mueller would have wrapped up his case long ago instead of indicting obscure Russian troll farms, which are now demanding discovery, which means Mueller has to show their attorneys EVIDENCE they committed crimes. Oops! He was counting on them all not to bother to show up which would have been fine with him. He indicts using innuendo, not facts.

What Fresh Hell? Trump just wants to set the world on fire

elcome to another edition of What Fresh Hell?, Raw Story’s roundup of news items that might have become controversies under another regime, but got buried – or were at least under-appreciated – due to the daily firehose of political pratfalls, unhinged tweet storms and other sundry embarrassments coming out of the current White House.

This week, Republican lawmakers visited privately with their Russian counterparts during the Fourth of July holiday. Some tweeted patriotic messages suggesting that they were celebrating like good patriots back home. The group had promised to have what diplomats call “frank discussions” with the Russians, but The Washington Post reports that “on Russian state television, presenters and guests mocked the U.S. congressional delegation for appearing to put a weak foot forward, noting how the message of tough talk they promised in Washington ‘changed a bit‘ by the time they got to Moscow.” One Russian military official said, “we need to look down at them and say: You came because you needed to, not because we did.”

While they were being humiliated in Moscow, Trump was back home trashing NATO and the #MeToo movement, and ratcheting up his cockamamie trade wars. Some of our most important trading partners continue to target Trump’s constituents. Trump is reportedly rambling about blowing up the World Trade Organization, which would likely cause “global stock markets to crater and economies to dive into recession.”

Mike Pompeo claimed great progress upon his return from talks with the North Koreans, only to have them trash him. This diplomatic push is turning out exactly how most sentient beings predicted: Trump got totally rolled.

Weeks after Trump claimed to have "largely solved" the North Korea nuclear dispute, North Korea makes clear no solution is yet at hand as it accuses US of making "gangster-like demand." @GardinerHarris@choesanghunhttps://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/07/world/asia/mike-pompeo-north-korea-pyongyang.html …

  • Let’s note that none of this madness we see day in and day out — the incompetence, the governance by graft and trolling — would be possible if not for over 40 years of conservative investments in a dedicated alternative information ecosystem. Convinced that all of society’s professional distributors of knowledge — the academy, the media and even science itself — were hostile to their worldview, deep-pocketed conservatives started investing in academic chairs, think-tanks and a slew of media outlets dedicated to combatting liberalism and politicizing their troops in a way that was rarely the case in the post World War II era.

As a result, the reality of Trumpism is lost on Trump supporters who get their information from the internet or from Fox or Sinclair broadcasts. For them, everything’s great. They’re tired of so much winning. Any bad news is fake news. And because the base continues to love Trump, Republicans on Capitol Hill continue to grant his crime family impunity-by-Congressional-majority.

Give the right credit for playing the long game. But there’s an irony here that shouldn’t be overlooked: Many of the early funders of the conservative movement — blue-blooded families like the Scaifes, Olins and Bradleys — were not themselves wild-eyed reactionaries, at least not by today’s standards. Their generation had a certain sense of civic duty — an American style of noblesse oblige. They may have been furious about what they saw as the dirty hippies destroying America, but in most cases they were in favor of pluralism. They certainly valued stability and US-led multilateralism. The post-war order that Trump seem intent on uprooting was very good for business. They wanted to combat an increasingly liberal culture, cut taxes and limit regulations, and they ended up creating a monster.
******

Speaking of crackpot trade wars, and hypocrisy, the WaPo reported that even “as the Trump administration initiates a possible trade war with China, the president’s businesses continue to benefit from partnerships involving the Chinese government, via state-backed companies and investors.”
Chinese government-backed firms are slated to work on parts of two large developments — in Dubai and Indonesia — that will include Trump-branded properties.

The Trumps are the landlord to one of China’s top state-owned banks, which has occupied the 20th floor of Trump Tower in Manhattan since 2008. The bank’s lease is worth close to $2 million annually, according to industry estimates and a bank filing.

And despite the Trump administration’s focus on American manufacturing, assembly-line workers in China still produce blouses, shoes and handbags for the clothing line created by Trump’s daughter Ivanka, a White House adviser.

******

Last month, we learned that Jared and Ivanka had pulled in at least $82 million in outside income last year as they were (supposedly) working for the American people. It’s all a big grift, and this week, NBC reported that even Melania is getting a piece of the action. “Since her husband took office Melania Trump has earned six figures from an unusual deal with a photo agency in which major media organizations have indirectly paid the Trump family despite a requirement that the photos be used only in positive coverage,” according to the report. “It’s not unheard of for celebrities to earn royalties from photos of themselves, but it’s very unusual for the wife of a currently serving elected official.” Licensing them exclusively for positive stories has a nice Kim Jong-Unian touch.

******

On his way out the door, disgraced EPA Chief Scott Pruitt offered a final **** you to the environment, according to Eric Lipton at The New York Times. “In the final hours of Scott Pruitt’s tenure as administrator, the Environmental Protection Agency moved on Friday to effectively grant a loophole that will allow a major increase in the manufacturing of a diesel freight truck that produces as much as 55 times the air pollution as trucks that have modern emissions controls,” he wrote.

A gift to Big Freight, right? Well, yes and no. In January, when Pruitt first proposed the rule change, the Environmental Defense Fund noted that “every segment of the freight industry — truck manufacturers, fleet owners, freight shippers and other stakeholders — has spoken out to oppose this rollback. These industry stakeholders recognize that Pruitt’s proposal would undo decades of progress in cleaning up pollution from heavy-duty freight trucks. Moreover, it would undermine their significant investments in pollution control innovation.”

We have to confess that we’ll miss Pruitt here at What Fresh Hell?, simply because his unique blend of sanctimony, entitlement and lawlessness embodied the Trump regime’s perfidy so perfectly.

Speaking of the EPA, Politico reported this week that the Trump regime “is suppressing an Environmental Protection Agency report that warns that most Americans inhale enough formaldehyde vapor in the course of daily life to put them at risk of developing leukemia and other ailments.” #MAGA!

Pruitt’s acting successor, Andrew Wheeler, “also has a history with the chemical. He was staff director for the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee in 2004, when his boss, then-Chairman Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), sought to delay an earlier iteration of the formaldehyde assessment.”

******

Meanwhile, Jeff Sessions “rescinded an extensive set of guidelines put in place under President Barack Obama that had called on colleges and universities to consider race as a way of promoting diversity,” according to Reuters.
The regime has assembled a “denaturalization taskforce” to revoke the citizenship of people who ostensibly gave false information during the application process. At Esquire, Jack Holmes reported that the last time such a taskforce was assembled was during the Red Scare. He also put the move in context, writing that “this administration cannot be trusted to restrict the task force’s operations to investigating people who allegedly lied during the naturalization process.”
Meanwhile, Aura Bogado, Ziva Branstetter and Vanessa Swales reported for Reveal that a defense contractor called MVM Inc. “quietly detained dozens of immigrant children inside a vacant Phoenix office building with dark windows, no kitchen and only a few toilets during three weeks of the Trump administration’s family separation effort.” According to the report, “the building is not licensed by Arizona to hold children, and… MVM Inc., has claimed publicly that it does not operate ‘shelters or any other type of housing’ for children.”

******

Finally, we will leave you with some positive news in these otherwise bleak times. You may recall that immediately after the 2016 election, the government freaked out civil liberties advocates by charging 234 people who protested Trump’s inauguration with serious felonies. Zoe Tillman reported for Buzzfeed that after several trials in which prosecutors failed to get a conviction, this week they dropped all charges against the remaining defendants.

‘Hard to Fathom the Recklessness’: American Workers, Farmers at Risk as Trump Escalates Trade War With China

Brushing aside repeated warnings that a rapid escalation of trade tensions between the world’s two largest economies could place millions of American jobs at risk, President Donald Trump on Friday officially dragged the U.S. into what is already being characterized as “the largest trade war in history” by imposing 25 percent tariffs on $34 billion worth of Chinese goods.

Slamming the Trump administration for “behaving like a gang of hoodlums with its shakedown of other countries,” China immediately hit back at the U.S. with equivalent tariffs, taking aim at American soybeans, corn, and other goods.

“With Trump’s tariffs on China, it’s hard to fathom the recklessness of the president and the utter failure of U.S. politics to allow one psychopath to have so much power,” wrote Columbia University professor Jeffrey Sachs, who described Trump’s decision last month to hit the European Union, Mexico, and Canada with steel and aluminum tariffs as a “psychopath’s trade war.”

In an analysis of Trump’s tariff moves on Friday, The Week’s Jeff Spross echoed Sachs’ conclusion that the president is recklessly rushing into a trade war without any clear objectives or endgame—aside from “putting on a show.”

“It’s worth remembering that the president was a reality TV star. And in that profession, the point is ratings,” Spross writes. “And it’s hard to escape the conclusion that this trade war is just another show Trump’s putting on. In which case, will he ever let it end?”

While some commentators argued that this first round of tariffs is likely to have massive economic effects, Trump—whose sprawling business empire continues to profit from partnerships with Chinese state-backed companies—suggested to reporters aboard Air Force One on Thursday that he is planning to continue escalating the trade war with China, with the ultimate aim of imposing tariffs on more than $500 billion in goods.

After the first $34 billion in penalties, Trump said, “you have another $16 [billion] in two weeks, and then, as you know, we have $200 billion in abeyance and then after the $200 billion, we have $300 billion in abeyance. Ok? So we have 50 plus 200 plus almost 300.”

Providing an indication of the impact Trump’s tariffs and China’s retaliations could have on American jobs, the Washington Post published a chart showing that while some industries will likely see small job gains over the next several years, they will be far outweighed by massive job losses in other industries.

“One factor for the projected loss is that there are 5.1 million jobs in manufacturing industries that stand to be hurt by higher steel and aluminum prices,” the Post reports. “That compares to 313,000 jobs in the industries that make the metals and will benefit from higher prices

Israeli police again question Netanyahu over alleged corruption
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who faces three investigations over alleged corruption, was questioned again by police over a case involving Israel’s largest telecoms firm on Tuesday, Army Radio said.
The authorities allege Netanyahu awarded regulatory favors to Bezeq Telecom Israel in return for favorable coverage of him and his wife on a news site owned by the company. Netanyahu, Bezeq and its owner have all denied wrongdoing.

A Reuters cameraman saw a police car pulling into the driveway of the prime minister’s official residence in Jerusalem. Netanyahu has been questioned over the case before and police have yet to make a recommendation about charges.
A police spokesman declined comment, and a spokesman for Netanyahu had no immediate comment.

In the two other cases in which police have already recommended that Netanyahu be charged with bribery, the final decision about whether to prosecute rests with the Israeli attorney general — that could be months away.

So far, partners in Netanyahu’s governing coalition have stood by him, saying they are awaiting the attorney general’s next moves. However, political pressure could mount on Netanyahu to step down if he is charged.

Netanyahu could also call a snap election to try to stall legal proceedings during the campaign and rally his right-wing power base behind him. Polls show Netanyahu’s Likud party gaining seats and positioned far ahead of all other factions.

(this article makes a point I have repeatedly asserted. all of drumpf's idiocy is calculated. it is intent on disrupting the world's political continuum so that other agenda's can take place with little notice.... most obviously Netanyahu's genocidal aims.rahu)

https://www.veteranstoday.com/2018/07/14/trumps-appaling-behaviour-is-cynically-calculated/

Trump’s Appaling Behaviour Is Cynically Calculated

Editor’s note: First he went to the NATO summit and deeply annoyed and offended the Germans and their leader Angela Merkel by presenting one of his ‘alternative facts’ (AKA outright lies) and claiming that Germany was controlled by Russia because most of her oil and gas imports come from Russia. Then it was on to Britain and once again he caused deep offence and much annoyance to both the British people and PM Theresa May by making some ludicrous claims about Brexit and endorsing Boris Johnson.
While Trump often says stupid, offensive things, frequently not even realising how stupid and offensive he is being, this time it was rather different – he issued his nonsense about Germany in order to undermine Angela Merkel and his interference in British internal politics was also intended to undermine a leader, in this case Theresa May.
As I have written before, Trump wants Boris Johnson as Prime Minister, this is because it suits the U.S. to have an obedient lap dog in charge of Britain, just as Dubya Bush needed Tony Blair in order to fight the ‘War on Terror’. Boris is controlled by and works for the interests of the same people who put Trump into power, therefore he would be a safe pair of hands in terms of how manipulable he would be and how readily he would join in with any U.S. foreign adventures.
So as the fat orange slug slithers his way around his Scottish golf course before heading off to Scandinavia to insult a few more peoples, we in Britain are both glad he’s gone and furious he ever came here and stuck his ludicrous nose into our business. Ian]

What can we take from President Trump’s UK visit?

This is how it works in Trump world. The US president arrives at a party, causes a fuss, breaks some crockery, and leaves everyone stunned.
Then as the dust settles, he declares what a good time he has had, how it’s all been a great success, while offering a few words of apology for the disruption caused. So it was at the Nato summit, and so it was during his visit to Britain.
Mr Trump used his interview in the Sun to throw a few plates at Theresa May, criticising her Brexit strategy, threatening to block a trade deal with the US, praising Boris Johnson. Cue outrage and much gnashing of teeth.
Then came the news conference at Chequers where the president revealed he had apologised to the prime minister, praising Mrs May as an “incredible woman… doing a fantastic job… a terrific woman”, insisting the UK-US relationship was “the highest level of special”, all the while accepting that a trade deal might be possible just so long as there were no “restrictions” on US firms.
And so it goes: the UK-US relationship settles back on to an even keel and life returns to normal. That, at least, is the hope of British officials.
_102511708_hi048113220.jpg
Image copyrightGETTY IMAGESImage captionPresident Trump dined at Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill
They designed this trip to show Mr Trump the depth of the relationship between the UK and the US: the history of Blenheim and Churchill, the dinner with business leaders who create jobs in America, the special forces who co-operate in the fight against terrorism, the Queen who has met 11 of Mr Trump’s predecessors.
The symbolism was clear: the ties that bind Britain to the US are long and deep.
And government sources said the talks with Mr Trump at Chequers were good. They said the fallout from the Sun interview shaped the mood.

Any discussion that began with Donald J Trump apologising put the other side in a stronger position. The conversation, I am told, was relaxed, detailed and covered all the issues from the Middle East to North Korea. “It was good, solid, substantive stuff,” said one source.
“We landed some messages.” In other words, so they hope, the special relationship continues, Mr Trump’s apology and recantation on trade enough to correct the damage of the interview in the Sun.
But is that really true? The president’s words cannot be unspoken. He has described the UK as being in “turmoil”, a “hotspot with lots of resignations”.
He intervened directly in domestic UK politics, a gross breach of diplomatic etiquette. And even worse, he intervened in favour of the prime minister’s opponents.
_102518947_hi048127155.jpg
Image copyrightGETTY IMAGES
This was more than being undiplomatic to one’s host: this was a hostile act that handed ammunition to those Brexiteers wishing to undermine the prime minister’s Brexit strategy.
And what is more, the president was plain rude: to Mrs May whom he criticised for ignoring his advice.
And for good measure, Mr Trump said Britain was “losing its culture” because of immigration.
Until now, many British politicians tend to say things like “focus on what Donald Trump does, not what he says”, “ignore the tweets, stick to the substance.”
They also say the special relationship is about more than how well the Oval Office gets on with Number 10: the core of the relationship, they insist, is the military, security and intelligence nexus.
They like to quote Winston Churchill’s speech in Fulton, Missouri in 1946 when he popularised the phrase “the special relationship” which he described as “not only the growing friendship and mutual understanding between our two vast but kindred systems of society, but the continuance of the intimate relationship between our military advisers”.
_102518951_gettyimages-107410109.jpg
Image copyrightGETTY IMAGESImage captionWinston Churchill’s 1946 speech at Fulton, Missouri, helped popularise the term “special relationship”
In her prepared statement at Chequers, the first point Theresa May made was to highlight the importance of UK-US military co-operation around the world.
My question is this: how long can this security relationship continue when the political tensions are so great?
How long is it before the policy differences between the Trump White House and the May Downing Street begin to infect the institutional relationships – the diplomats, the soldiers, the spies – that normally stay immune from the poison of day-to-day politics?
Can the two relationships really continue to exist in isolation?
Note this: since Donald Trump took office, Theresa May has had to disagree with him publicly over his decision to impose trade tariffs on EU steel, abandon the Iran nuclear deal, move the US embassy to Jerusalem, order a travel ban on Muslims from some countries and retweet anti-Muslim messages from a British far-right group.
Mr Trump has also questioned the multilateral, liberal rules-based order that Britain defends, while embracing the regimes of authoritarian “strong men”.
_102511712_hi048121162.jpg
Image copyrightGETTY IMAGESImage captionPresident Trump’s visit has prompted big public demonstrations
Mr Trump wants to approach the world not through alliances but individual bilateral deals, a series of transactional relationships with other countries that balance short-term national interests.
In his mind, the UK may be just another country with which to deal. But at Chequers, Mrs May deliberately warned Mr Trump not only that it was their responsibility to ensure the transatlantic relationship endured, but also that it was based on the shared values of democracy and justice.
So there are two fundamentally opposed positions: Donald Trump’s belief in an interest-based transactional relationship with the UK, where access to US markets is determined by how detached the UK is from EU markets, and Theresa May’s view of a transatlantic relationship based on shared values.
And the question remains: as the US and the UK drift further apart between these positions, how long can the institutional relationship between the soldiers and the spies survive the tensions of their political masters?

From the beginning of this thread , I have focused on Netanyahu as being trumps puppet master and that all of trumps idiocy is simply theater of the absurd to create chaos in the national and international political arena to keep everyone preoccupied while Netanyahu progresses with this genocidal ambitions on the Palestinians and the erasure of any potential for a Palestinian state, even though a separate Palestinian state has been a principle element of every agreement and accord going back a 100 years to the Belfour declaration .
And now with trump proving his collusion with putin to give the US election to trump, it becomes clear why Russia recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in 6 April 2017.both parties, trump and putin are playing out a political smoke screen behind which Netanyahu is concerting his genocide on the Palestinians while the world looks else where.

Putin Fingers Hillary For Money Laundering At Summit!
https://youtu.be/4xpDZrsrE2M
In an astonishing revelation spoken by Russia President Vladimir Putin during a joint press conference with President Trump, the world now knows that a man named Browder earned over $1.5 BILLION in Russia, and snuck the money out without paying taxes - with $400 MILLION of that money having been sent to the Hillary Clinton Campaign!!!!!!

This information was revealed when a reporter from Reuters asked Putin if Russia would send the 12 men Indicted by Special Counsel Mueller, to the US for trial.
Putin replied that there is a Mutual Law Enforcement Assistance Treaty between the US and Russia since 1999, and Russia WILL PERMIT Special Counsel Mueller and his team to travel to Russia to take part in any interrogation of the 12 men. BUT IN RETURN, Russia wants the same treatment under that Mutual Law Enforcement Treaty with regards to a man named Mr. Browder.

Putin said:
“Mr. Browder and his associates earned over $1.5 Billion in Russia and evacuated the money without paying any taxes. He paid no taxes in Russia or the United States. $400 million was sent to Hillary Clinton. If the US wants Russia to cooperate on the 12 men, then Russia wants the same cooperation on Mr. Browder.”

Folks, this is the single most gigantic revelation to come out of the entire Helsinki Summit between Trump and Putin.
The President of Russia himself has now revealed Hillary Clinton got cash (earned in Russia) far in excess of allowable campaign finance limits. The ONLY way that cash could find its way into her campaign without raising red flags with the Federal Election Commission, is if was LAUNDERED.
Money Laundering is a FEDERAL FELONY for which Hillary Clinton can be arrested and jailed because the Statute of Limitations has not run out.

Netanyahu Says More Coming As Israel Unleashes Sustained Barrage On Hamas Militants On The Gaza Strip

Israel launched its harshest assault against the Gaza Strip’s Hamas rulers since their 2014 war, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, in waves of airstrikes that drew barrages of Palestinian mortar and rocket fire.
UPDATE: The Hamas terrorist organization announced Saturday that it had agreed to a ceasefire with Israel following talks with Egypt and other international bodies after Palestinians fired more than 100 rockets into Israel over the weekend and Israel carried out dozens of air strikes. “The regional and international mediation has led to an end of the current escalation between the resistance and the occupation forces,” Hamas said. “Facts on the ground will determine our continued response,” a senior Israeli defense official said following the reports.
Two Palestinian teenagers were killed in an Israeli aerial attack, health officials said, and three Israelis were wounded by fire from Gaza that landed in a border town. Israeli and Palestinian media reported efforts by international mediators including Egypt to broker a cease-fire.

Collusion, Did Putin Just Sink Trump?

Putin defends Trump like an "idiot son"

By Gordon Duff, Senior Editor
Was this the real announcement at Helsinki? We think so. Putin never looked smaller than he did next to Trump, never sounded less statesmanlike. He appeared to be a small man, a puppet, next to….
Introduction: The Syrian people accept aid from Russia but they don’t love or trust Russia. Russia does what it does because it serves Russia.
Putin serves Russia and even many Russians don’t entirely believe that.

Trump, on the other hand, believes North Korea, he believes Israel and he believes Russia loves America more than it loves Russia.
This isn’t politics, it is pure unadulterated stupidity. That the Republican Party is silent with very few exceptions, plays to how, if anything, they are worse.
Pure Collusion
Trump is in Helsinki colluding with the Russians. Putin is either torpedoing Trump, or just doesn’t understand how illegal Trump’s statements in Helsinki are.
Flynn, Manafort, Papadopoulis, guilty of collusion already. Trump lied.

We all know it, we knew it the day Trump asked Russia, through Katie Couric, to begin an espionage and black propaganda operation against his political opponents.
We expected Vladimir Putin to deny interference in the American election. I am a big fan of Putin but also believe the indictments; Russians are that stupid; yes, they would have done it, and the proof is compelling.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump responds to former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s closing remarks during the first Republican presidential debate at the Quicken Loans Arena Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, in Cleveland. (AP Photo/Andrew Harnik) Now we have Putin defending Trump and, quite frankly, involving himself in American domestic politics by supporting Trump against his own Department of Justice. Once indictments are filed, the President, were he to open his mouth, is guilty of obstruction of justice.

Trump is more than weak, he has bent over, he has sacrificed America’s position in the world. This is someone who must have hired a ghost writer to do The Art of the Deal. Trump is the “worst negotiator over.”
Worse still, Trump seems to have been suckered into a negotiation allowing Russia to openly operate against the FBI and CIA, inside America, where they threaten “Russian Security.”
Let’s remember, this is the president that has attacked Syria over and over, that has invaded Syria, and the president that has backed Saudi Arabia in Yemen and their genocide there and has encouraged the Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people.

John Brennan tweet:
Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of “high crimes & misdemeanors.” It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump’s comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???

Lieutenant colonel calls BS on everything from
Trump’s patriotism to him denying Russian prostitutes

During an interview on Tuesday with MSNBC’s Ari Melber, Ret. Lt. Colonel said that President Donald Trump is a “slave to Putin.”

Rt. Lt. Col slammed President Trump and said that he is the perfect target for Russia intelligence. During President Donald Trump’s two-hour closed-door meeting with Putin, Ret. Lt. Colonel speculated that prostitutes entered the room
“From what you know of the Donald Trump’s character, can you believe that at midnight two stunningly gorgeous Russian hookers showed up to his door and said we are a gift from your friend, that Donald Trump would have said, ‘young lady go home to your mothers and I shall pray for you?’ I mean, this is a man who is a perfect target for Russian intelligence. He has a sense of sexual entitlement, and no self-restraint whatsoever.”

Rt. Lt. Cole went on to say that President Trump betrayed America.
“He’s got those tangled financial dealings. And by the way, Putin, once again said we don’t spy on everybody. We don’t have the manpower. Yes, they do,” he said.
“They do spy on everybody. If you went to Moscow or St. Petersburg, if you are a businessman or official

Rt.

Petersburg, if you are a businessman or official, you are being spied upon, you are filmed in your bathroom or hotel, everything you did is recorded. And by golly, Trump was the perfect target. So to make a very long story short, I believe that President Trump has and is actively betraying our country,” Ret. Lt. Colonel said.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/m/90f75da3-0bdb-34dc-82c6-dfabb45aa796/ss_trump-administration-now-has.html
Trump administration now has naturalized citizens in its sights
As if the separation of families at the border and the travel ban were not enough, the Trump administration has a denaturalization initiative that is stoking controversy. A few weeks ago, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director L. Francis Cissna told the Associated Press that his agency is hiring dozens of attorneys to form a task force to review the records of people who have become U.S. citizens since 1990, in order to identify people who deliberately lied on their citizenship applications. “We finally have a process in place to get to the bottom of all these bad cases and start denaturalizing people who should not have been naturalized in the first place,” Cissna told AP.

the first place,” Cissna told the AP.

Denaturalization as a priority is unprecedented and has alarmed many advocates for immigrants. The historic heyday of denaturalization was during McCarthyism, when the Internal Security Act of 1950 added provisions that stripped citizenship based upon political and antigovernment beliefs. The stereotypical case was the Nazi war criminal. According to immigration officials, the Executive Office for United States Attorneys generally have not accepted immigration benefit fraud cases for criminal prosecution.

The law sets a high standard that the naturalization application was based upon a “concealment of a material fact or by willful misrepresentation.” The USCIS policy manual states: “For civil revocation of naturalization, the burden of proof is clear, convincing and unequivocal evidence which does not leave the issue in doubt.”

The U.S. Attorneys' decision to put most immigration benefit fraud cases on the back burner was not unreasonable in the context of all federal crimes. Many immigration cases are especially complicated because of immigrants’ pathways to citizenship. For example, those immigrants who legalized in the early 1990s through the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 were given an amnesty that forgave their illegal presence and unauthorized employment in the United States.

An asylum seeker who ultimately received asylum might well have had a formal removal order as the case worked through the appeals process. An asylum seeker might also have used a fake identity to escape his or her home country, or might have committed political crimes in the home country that are not crimes here. A foreign student who overstayed his or her visa, thus subject to removal, might have married a U.S. citizen.

In each of these instances, the individuals might become legal immigrants eligible for citizenship who also might later trigger a derogatory background check. It is no wonder the Department of Justice has prosecuted just over 300 denaturalization cases since 1990.

The pivot point was a 2016 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) report raising legitimate concerns that USCIS did not have access to digitized fingerprints to adequately screen all naturalization cases. “USCIS granted U.S. citizenship to at least 858 individuals ordered deported or removed under another identity when, during the naturalization process, their digital fingerprint records were not available.” Another 953 naturalizations cases subsequently were deemed questionable.

The OIG recommended that DHS establish a plan for evaluating the eligibility of those naturalized citizens whose fingerprint records reveal deportation orders under a different identity. Recent reports indicate that 95 of the 2,536 naturalization cases reviewed, or 3.7 percent, have been referred to the Department of Justice.

According to Cissna, USCIS is going beyond the OIG’s recommended investigation of individuals identified in its report. It is unclear if the task force will again review all 17 million naturalization petitions approved from 1990 to 2016 (beyond those the OIG identified in its review), but he predicted that several thousand cases likely will be referred for denaturalization. Rather than requesting money for this task force, USCIS will reallocate funds from immigration application fee account, which is likely to slow the processing time for legitimate immigration and naturalization petitions.

By going above and beyond the OIG report, the Trump administration is sending a clear signal to all naturalized citizens: They are under review and vulnerable. I have encountered citizens who fear that their use of a fake ID years ago may prompt denaturalization proceedings. This initiative fits into the Trump administration paradigm that views immigrants as criminals. Most disturbing, this initiative has a chilling effect on civic engagement.

I recommend a more targeted approach based upon security risk assessment. It would be aimed at potential terrorists, organized crime syndicates and identity theft rings. A task force based upon these priorities would dovetail with other DHS, FBI and intelligence agencies’ work to thwart terrorism and crime. The bonus would be a more cost-effective initiative that might garner appropriated funds from Congress.

“Second-class citizen” always has been used as a pejorative term, for good reason. An overzealous policy to subject certain U.S. citizens to additional scrutiny is demeaning and undercuts American values. From our beginnings, the United States has distinguished itself in the world because it has encouraged (but not coerced) legal immigrants to become citizens. As a result, we are a better nation.

The Nation-State Bill is a proposed Basic Law that would anchor Israel’s status as the national homeland of the Jewish people. The bill clauses contain, for example, the “Law of Return,” state symbols, Jewish festivals and the Hebrew language. It is Israel’s first attempt to constitutionally anchor its identity in a Basic Law, with the exception of two Basic Laws in which Israel was defined as “Jewish and democratic.”

Notwithstanding the declarative nature of the bill, it does not enumerate the principle of equality, nor does it include the democratic character of the state’s identity. The bill completely ignores the Israeli Declaration of Independence, which stipulates that all citizens of the state must have equal rights. Even the words “Jewish and democratic” appear nowhere in the bill

Israel to modify controversial nation-state bill, Education Minister Naftali Bennett says

Critics had warned against a clause that would create divisions between different religions and nationalities
The Israeli government is planning to amend the controversial Jewish nation-state bill that brought thousands of liberal protesters on to the streets of Tel Aviv on Saturday night.
He said it “could harm the Jewish people, Jews throughout the world and the state of Israel, and could be used as a weapon by our enemies”.

Tamar Zandberg, chairman of the left-wing Meretz party, said, the law “advanced today is not a basic law on nationality but a basic law of racism”.
He said it “could harm the Jewish people, Jews throughout the world and the state of Israel, and could be used as a weapon by our enemies”.
Ayman Odeh, chairman of the mainly Arab Joint List, attacked the bill as a "law whose purpose is to stick a finger in the eyes of a fifth of Israel's population, spark a dispute and polarize in order to make political gain for the Netanyahu tyranny,”

Lock Him Up! Tape One of Twelve, Trump and Cohen

Money laundering, campaign finance fraud and so much sleaze, listen to "your president," he sure as hell ain't mine...
Lock Him Up! Tape One of Twelve, Trump and Cohen

At 4:10 Trump goes to jail….

Editor’s note: Trump and Cohen set up a phony corporation to buy back stories Trump’s alleged women sell to AMI.

Trump insists of cash only, money received from a media company that can’t legally hide behind press privilege.
This is a felony. Watch Trump and Guiliani’s fake transcript get trashed.
A secret audio tape has been released, in which US President Donald Trump is heard discussing with his long time attorney how to hush a former Playboy model, who allegedly had an affair with him.
CNN released the audio tape Tuesday, offering the first public a glimpse at the confidential discussions about Karen McDougal.
McDougal says she had an affair with Trump in 2006, shortly after the birth of his youngest son.
The tape is among troves of documents and materials seized by the FBI after raiding the New York home of Trump’s former personal lawyer Michael Cohen (pictured below) in April.
“I need to open up a company for the transfer of all of that info regarding our friend David,” Cohen said in the recording, likely a reference to American Media head David Pecker.
Trump was initially taken aback when he found out that his own attorney had secretly taped him.

Trump wanted a check and to set up a company so he'd have a paper trail. You don't create a paper trail if you are hiding something! He could probably write it off as a business expense like most celebs do. Usually cheaper to settle than fight in court.

It isn't a crime to squash a story in the tabloids. Stars do it all the time which is why you never see stories about some of them, like George Clooney, who had ex girlfriends sign NDAs and gave them millions in hush money. No woman would risk that money for a couple thousand dollars from the National Enquirer.

Just more hysterical Trump hating media. When will the Loonies wake up and realize they are being manipulated by the media for ratings? Every week it's another The Sky is Falling story.
