Friends of Horary work....
This is a story that I recently posted on another discussion forum, but it's a read worthy of review on this site, as well...
It is my firm belief that horary astrology, (and all astrology in general), is ONLY validated through the analysis of events of a critical or/and important nature, both 'good' and 'bad'...i.e. travesties and tragedies, as well as life's sweet victories...
Of course, predicting the local (N.H.L.) hockey game is fine and dandy. However, sometimes, there are things perhaps far more important than the outcome of ice hockey games... that are worthy of investigation...?
So, here is the bottom line with horary astrology... It MUST work, under ALL conditions... and not just whenever we want it to work... Therefore, horary astrology is a continious continuum...of testing, investigation, and validation...
Almost three years ago, an 8 year old named Victoria (Tori) Stafford, a Grade 3 student, was kidnapped and abducted from a schoolyard in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, while in broad daylight...Police say she was murdered the same day, by blows to the head from a hammer...
As a parent, myself, I was/am outraged by this heinous crime, as are the people of Ontario...
A criminal trial is currently underway (March 13th, 2012) in a London, Ontario courtroom, as James Rafferty is accused of murdering, sexual assaulting and kidnapping this young girl. Curiously, Rafferty has plead not guilty and says he 's innocent ! His girlfriend, Terri Lynn McLintic, admitted killing the girl and was convicted of 1st Degree murder in 2010 in a seperate trial. McLintic is currently testifying at this trial and is expected to be there all week and into next week, as well...
What is noteworthy to say is that the details of McLintic's murder trial were kept mostly under wraps by a publication ban... So, we really dont know all of the details to this point ?
I suppose that the public's expectation is that the person(s) responsible for this crime be punished and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law...Please note that Canada does not have the death penalty and the maximum punishment, by law, for 1st degree murder, here is life imprisonment and no chance of parole for at least 25 years...
This event took place on April 8th, 2009, 3:28 pm, EDT, Woodstock, Ontario, Canada. Since the kidnapping drew an incredible amount of national Canadian media attention. It spawned one of the largest and most in-depth police investigations, ever, in the history of the Province of Ontario...
For example, almost 1000 Ontario police officers worked on this file at one point or another... That is an incredible amount of police attention... for even one missing youngster !
Never mind a vivacious, outgoing lovable kid like Tori Stafford...
Here's what we do know:
Normally, the time of a person's kidnapping is only approximate. But, we have learned that at least one witness saw the abduction and gave details of the exact time of the abduction ...Fortunately, we have a very accurate event time to work with...
From court records, we learn that 3:28 pm was when the abduction took place..
We further learn from the Crown prosecutor handling this trial (which started on Monday, March 5th) that Tori Stafford was kidnapped right after school, by a young woman named Terri Lynne McLintic. Her accomplice was Michael Rafferty...I have posted the event chart, below...
In a kidnapping chart, (here in Canada, an indictable offense) here is how to read the various 'players' of the event:
1st House: rules the victim and/or missing person.
7th house: rules the assailant(s) and/or perpetrator(s). The 7th house also represents the people that the victim will meet while being detained and/or in custody ?
4th house/10th house rules the parents or family of the victim. I would assign the 4th house to Tori's father, and the 10th house to the mother...
Saturn always rules the police...and their role...
The Moon is ALWAYS the co-significator of the lost or missing person.
The Moon also represents the mother of the victim...
The Moon's last ptolemaic aspect shows the event or events leading up to the present.
Analysis:
Looking at the chart, 28 Degrees of Leo is rising, NOT A GOOD SIGN ! It represents the victim, so in missing person's cases, a late ascendant typically means the matter is 'too late...' and regretfully... we may never see the victim alive again...
Additionally, the Sun in Aries also rules the victim. Found in the radix 9th house, the victim was taken on a journey by car (9th house?) some 200 kilometres WEST of Woodstock by both of her alledged abductors...
Rafferty and McLintic were allegedly in that car with Stafford on the day of the disappearance, according to police, eye-witnesses and much video evidence...
The Sun makes a critical 90 degree (square) aspect to the vertex, a VERY unfortunate aspect that means either physical harm or danger coming to the victim.
The 7th house rules the alledged kidnappers and/or assailants. Saturn is the ruler and found in the 1ST HOUSE, in Virgo, and retrograde...
Whenever you do a kidnapping chart and the 7th house ruler is deposited in the 1st, this always means that the KIDNAPPER is 'known' to the victim and/or the victim's family.
The radix 7th house contains two planets, Mars in Pisces and Neptune in Aquarius... That means that there were two parties involved in the abduction of Tory Stafford..one played the role of seductress (McLintic?), signified by Neptune on the hidden side of the 7th house...(a drug addict and/or mentally deranged person?)
The other was a thug or 'enforcer' (Mars in Pisces, opposite Saturn in Pisces ?). The police alledge sexual assault of the girl by Rafferty, followed by a beating with a hammer to the head of the girl...
In Barbara Watter's book, Horary Astrology and the Judgement of Events, we are told that Saturn rules " hammers, cudgels and blunt instruments... "
The ONLY two aspects that radix Mars makes is an opposition to Saturn and a conjunction to Uranus...
This suggests that the sexual assault and hammer attack on young Tori came both brutally (Mars/Saturn) unplanned, and unexpectedly...(Uranus).
We learned in court, today that Tara McDonald, the mother of Tori Stafford, is a woman with severe personal and mental health problems...She claimed she previously met the co-accused, Ms. McLintic, TWICE !... McDonald, an admitted drug user and addict to Oxycocet (a opiat-based prescription drug) once bought the drug through McLintic's mother (an alledged local drug dealer !).
Then, to make it even more bizarre, we learn that McLintic was approached by McDonald, a second time, about a dog breeding proposal...which apparently went sour... !
The Moon in Libra in the 2nd house of money (representing Tara McDonald?) and its last ptolemaic aspect was a square to Pluto in Capricorn... while Venus in the radix 8th house (the Moon's dispositor?) makes a past square to Pluto...AND, Venus conjoins URANUS, ruler of the 7th HOUSE ! This makes me believe that the kidnapping of the young child may have been in retaliation for either a previous personal drug loan or debt, or some other (unusual?) hidden business money deal ?
However, since the Moon is essentially peregrine in this chart, I would rule out McDonald as being involved in her own child's kidnapping or death... But, she is NOT innocent by any means ! She had a lot of money problems and debt problems...(Moon in 2nd, Venus in 8th, retrograde...conjunct Uranus, co-ruler of 7th of enemies?)
With Neptune on the 7th house cusp, so very close to the angle, and squaring the MC/IC axis, I think that both McLintic and Mc Donald... aren't being totally truthful about their previous relationship and perhaps other facts ! ?
Another reason to support this theory is that the radix 8th house or 2nd house from the 7th (the perps money supply and finances) contains Venus retrograde, Uranus and Mars... All of these planets dispose of the characters in this story (Sun, 10th house, 7th house, and Moon).
This leads me to think that the original goal of the kidnapping by McLintic and the boyfriend was a MONEY BASED extortion plot, essentially to extract money out of the mother, McDonald...?
Unfortunately, since Saturn, ruler of the radix 7th, is retrograde, retrograde planets always tend to upset one's plans..
In my horary opinion, with radix Mars and Uranus in the 8th house of death, the eventual killing or murder of Tori Stafford, perhaps along with the sexual assault, came about accidentally...?
Therefore, I am calling this case "a botched kidnapping... gone horribly wrong...."
Of course, the cops see it otherwise, as most of their evidence lies throughc the DNA of Rafferty, ie the blood on the car belonging to Rafferty, the car he drove near the schoolyard on videotape, the disposal of the back seat of Rafferty's Honda Civic...Who loses the back seat of a car...unless you have something to hide...such as blood stains...
Since he is represented by Mars in Pisces, he might be a liar, as well, much like the two older females in this story...Most drug-type people are ?
Meanwhile, the strength of the police's case is on shaky ground, as radix Saturn, albeit angular, is retrograde... and opposite Mars. I think that Rafferty will eventually get convicted by the jury, but I predict many aspects of this case will remain hidden from public knowledge for years to come... Perhaps he might get a conviction on a lesser charge ?
Beware of Neptune angular or prominent in the horary chart...as things are never as they seem !
Additional notes:
Note that radix Mercury in Aries makes a very close trine to the radix ascendant. The evidence gathered by police in this case was incredible, over 5,000 exhibits, 4,500 photos, and also, get this? Blackberry (cellphone) evidence from Rafferty's personal phone !
Jupiter (co-ruler of 8th house of death) is making a very close square to the MC/IC axis, indicating events of a blundering nature... something too excessive or exaggerated about the whole event or matter... Horary Jupiter squares typically indicate issues of questionable morality, legality and/or public decency...pushing the envelope, too far, etc...
Notice that in horary astrology... so-called 'positive' aspects like Sun (chart ruler?) in SEXTILE aspect with Jupiter can contribute to the demise of a person, so opportunity for death came too easily for the perpetrators...? Meanwhile, sextile aspects to Jupiter are supposed to protect us (and the victim?) But, in this case...Jupiter BETRAYS the victim !
I have witnesses this phenonemon in other horary charts, too ! (ie. positive aspects contributing to a 'negative' outcome and vice-versa !)
Meanwhile, Neptune, ruler of the planet of death, (8th house) is angular in this chart, so NOTHING is as it seems, and many of the facts surrounding this case may never be revealed...!
