You know how many times the world has ended? Every time a year ends in -000 the world ends. Everytime the year ends in -666 the world ends. Every time a comet is seen in the sky the world ends. Everytime a new cult wants members the world ends. Every time a new invention is made the world ends.
Maybe it's some kind of deep-rooted fear that we can die at any moment. Maybe some people just don't like to take control of their own lives and live thinking the world will end before the get the chance to do anything, so they can't blame themselves for failing. Maybe some people are just more "spiritually aware" than others and know something the others don't.
Whatever the case, it comes down to a question and two responses; Can we do anything about it?
No. Live life like you're going to die. Rape, kill, steal, do whatever you want. In a few months none of us will be alive anyways. Don't make plans to do anything with your life.
No. Live life like it's not going to happen. Because, in the end, if it doesn't happen, then that's great. You can continue your life like your forefathers before you did when the world was ending for them. If it does happen, then it's over. You won't be around to care.
I'll go with the second option.
