Playlist of the Week(music)

Here's a set or two I've been working on for a couple of days, based on the stuff I've been listening to recently. I didn't put them in any order of favoritism, just the order I thought they sounded best in.
I added the play times because they help me choose what I want to listen to and when. I also attached the videos to the song titles, though I don't know if they show up on every computer screen. I hope it works, hope you like it.

-----SET 1-----

1) Wuthering Heights (Video) (4:27)
*~by Kate Bush

2) Drive-In Saturday (4:31)
*~by David Bowie

3) The Slider (3:25)
*~by T. Rex

-----SET 2
-----

A) The Man with the Child in His Eyes (2:41)
*~by Kate Bush

B) Rock'n'roll With Me (4:05)
*~by David Bowie

C) Cosmic Dancer (4:27)
*~by T. Rex

1) I've had a healthy addiction to this song recently. Very creative, very catchy pop song. Surprisingly hard to dance to, but Kate manages. I would have just posted the audio, but this video exists, and you probably should experience it before you die. This is the only video I'll bother you with on this list. Watch it, listen to it, be amazed!

2) Another song addiction. Just the kind of song I could play several times every day and still have a hard time skipping over it later. By the way, I'm up to six Bowie albums now.

3) I don't own any T. Rex albums, they're kind of pricey, but I've downloaded a number of songs, and I keep coming back to them so much I feel that I should pony up the cash one of these days. This is a favorite song that came out of nowhere. Epic song, epic love.

A) Surprising content delivered in a mystifying ballad. Not overdone, not too present. Sweet and haunting.

B) This is from the only Bowie album I have on LP, so I don't get to wear it out on my MP3 player to ridiculous extent as much as I'd like to. An addiction that goes unsatisfied just grows stronger and more hungry. Yesss...

C) Simply magical. Anything I could say about this song would only take away from it's specialness. Oops, I already said too much...

..you know that there are turntables that convert your vinyl to digital and you plug it right into your computer...tape cassettes too...They were astronomically priced 10-12 years ago...I seem to remember being quoted between $20,000 to 30,000 American Dollars around 1999...I understand they are around $100.00 now...I've definitely got to get the one for cassettes right now...as all my cassettes are near or over 20 years old now....all my best vinyl was stolen along with my computer in 2009...they took all my T-Rex...'Those Bastards"!...I hope they get a paper cut from the liner notes...HAH! [I'm fond of Jeepster....]

I do like that one. You know I have a weakness for the cheesy ones.
I love this one too, it has the best chorus and ending ever...

(Velvet Goldmine - David Bowie)

"Jeepster" is a great track, it's one of the ones I downloaded and am wearing out, lol.
Right now I'm actually going through "The Slider" track by track on YouTube and will probably end up ordering the Vinyl by the end of the day, by the sounds of it so far.

(Telegram Sam - T. Rex)

My brother has one of those Vinyl/WMA converter things you mentioned. It was only $40, though... oh, how times have changed. I'm gonna ask to use it pretty soon and wear out "Diamond Dogs" to my heart's content. I think it might be my favorite Bowie album so far...

(Big Brother + Chant of the Ever Circling Skeletal Family - David Bowie)

How many records got stolen? If my records were stolen I would die inside a little bit, and I have very few records. :crying: And how did you get the B word past the censors?

Era - "Misere Mani"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQDS...ULXf4fAGxsQw-NXJWiOs9KH8F&index=21&playnext=1

A tribute to Mani..."Therefore the Godhead adopts five members. They are: Gentleness, Knowledge, Understanding, Silence and Penetration. His five other members are concerned with the heart: Love, Faith, Fidelity, Bravery and Wisdom." Mani, Persian mystic 242 AD Core of His teaching was the concept that humanity was created in order to transform the evil in the universe through the power of Love.

ps...yes, I know that it means Hands of Misery in Italian but I think there is a most obvious double entendre going on here...the ref. 'waiting for the Sun'..etc...Mani was a advocate of Sun rites...
