In my experience, those who consider themselves special are a menace to others. I have never met a special person. It is a delusion of grandeur.

Leaders are those who are willing to leave the others behind. That is a characteristic that is not shared by everyone, but it is not special. That is quite different form having power over others or power over "the herd".

Those who want power over others are a great menace to the planet.

Apropos of nothing?

Addendum: If I have met a special person, they have taken great pains to conceal that fact from me.
