Oddity, I love that article. I like his perspective that the free market is actually the best that serves the common good of the people.

It's also interesting that he notes that the free market is actually selfless and giving rather than selfish and taking.

Socialists and communists really aren't selfless people now that I think about it. They take and take and give nothing back. And when they are generous, they are are generous in very inefficient ways. It explains why we give so much support to Africa, yet they are still poor there. If Africa just implemented free market principles they wouldn't be poor anymore. I said that in my senior english class in high school and everyone thought I was just stupid...

I guess Ayn Rand and I have been advocating selflessness this entire time....

We need new terms and vocabulary. Selfless and selfish aren't being used correctly anymore when discussing economics. IT's not about being selfish or selfless... it has more to do with being practical and being impractical.

Dude Oddity, have you seen the video where Ben Shapiro talked about the song "Imagine" by John Lennon??? He said it's the pure song of communism/evil. People who don't like the free market are people who live in the clouds.

Anyway, I really like the article. I agree with the author 100%. I do think that corporations can get out of hand....I'll have to think about that one. Centralized power, economically or politically, will always be destructive to the common good or the commoner or people as a whole. It reminds of this video by Louis C.K. This video is so fun to listen to.
