Relocation Chart: How different would I be???

Who would I be if I relocated here? Moving here would put me on the Venus/MC axis and right now I am on the Chiron/IC axis (which kind of makes sense given how I've felt my entire life growing up around NYC).

This chart changes my rising to Gemini, which I have always felt very Gemini anyway due to my Moon being so strong in my chart. I would have a 6th house stellium in Libra and that house would be ruled by Libra, so perhaps my work environment would be more pleasing and harmonious than it is now (Gemini rules my 6th now). Venus would be in my 10th house and conjunct my MC and trine my AC (waaaah I lose my Venus/AC conjunction - does this make me less physically attractive to others? hahaha to be honest I feel more attractive compared to women in England than the woman in NYC). Venus in the 10th would be positive for my career also, correct? Sun in the 11th and most elevated part of the chart, but 11th house ruled by Aquarius is interesting also. Will I be detached with friendship? My natal 11th is ruled by Sagittarius so I'm already pretty detached and independent with friendships anyway. What I do not like is Uranus in my 7th and the Moon in my 1st. Does this mean I will be an emotional wreck? Just kind of curious how this chart would change my perception and also the way I feel. I can also attach my natal chart if needed.

Moving to a new place doesn't change anything about YOU. You were imprinted with the YOU-ness at the moent your were born in the place you were born.

Sometimes opportunities can be slightly different in different places, but there is nothing about YOU and your blueprint of life that can change by moving somewhere else.

I understand that it doesn't change me at the core, but wouldn't a concentration of my energy moving from the top of my chart to the 6th house change how I perceive and even operate through life? I mean, I would assume this would change some of my behavior at the very least.

If you want to change your behaviors, then you don't need to move to a new place to do that.

HAHA I am picturing Jerry Garcia right now. I don't want to change who I am. I happen to like who I am and I have no issues with my behavior, for the most part. But I do realize that living in different parts of the world can influence a person (how they behave and feel).

I use sarva bindu analysis for such matters (taken from Vedic but adapted to our Western troical zodiacal matrix) I'd look at the total sarva bindus in the natal chart for the sign Venus is in, and also the sign the MC falls in, and add them up; then do the same for the sign Chiron is in and the sign the IC is in: now I'd compare the totals: if the Venus/MC bindu total (bindu means "energy point") is higher for Venus/MC than for Chiron/IC, the potential location would be more favorable than the current location; however if the Chrion/IC bindu total is higher, then the potential location would NOT be more favorable than the current location.

I get what Zarathu is saying, and yes, of course. However there is also the matter of different energies in different places, what sort of people tend to congregate where. I chose my current home along Zarathu's line of thought because it's a logical and clean way to look at it. However, I now see that I can really change the tone and quality of my life by moving somewhere cooler.

That said, your Venus is right on the Midheaven in that chart. Madame de Pompadour had that (although she also had Saturn on the other side, which makes perfect sense to me). So that could be a place where you're in the public spotlight, regarding your Venus.

The astrocartography reading I got gave me a list of aspects that I would have in different locations. The one for Los Angeles (a place I would never, ever, ever, ever have chosen to move to) sounds so appealing to me that I am changing my move from Colorado to Los Angeles.

Yes, wherever you go, there you are. However, sometimes it's easier to get a fresh perspective and re-engage with different dynamics. As Zarathu said, you have to address your own behaviors and thoughts, that's the only way for things to change.

So I looked at the printout of how the aspects that would come into play for me in that location tend to play out for people. I'll post that separately below, so you can get an idea how I used this.

What I did is meditate on being in an environment where I had those qualities and aspects, and how would that feel? Then imagine myself living in a place where I feel that way and others respond to me that way. Imagining it thusly made it a lot more real, and I was able to do what Zarathu was talking about. I very quickly felt different.

Moving to LA will be very challenging for me, and yet I have some idea of what rewards may be waiting if I choose to rise to them.

This is my relocation chart for LA. If you synthesized a similar list of descriptions for your aspects, it might give you a better picture of how you'd be perceived from that angle.

Think of it just like a photograph of your life, it will certainly look different if snapped from a different position.

1. How do I calculate total sarva bindus?
2. Do I compared the Venus/MC in the relo chart against the Chiron/IC in the natal or do I just look at the natal?

Thanks for sharing your experience and good luck in LA! That is a place I would never think to move either. I wonder if I would calm down if I lived in So Cal though haha. Where did you get the detailed report for your relo chart, if I may ask?

I'll have to post a thread abut a simple way to determine the "energy points" using the ancient sarvashtakavarga method adapted to our Western charts; in the meantime you could obtain Aditya's book, "Dots of Destiny" and use the table in chapter 3 of that book, to calculate.

Just use the natal-because you said that moving to the possible location would put you on the Venus/MC line, so you would want to see if that line (Venus+MC) activates more bindus (energy points-and these always mean positive energy points) than the total bindus of where you are now (on the Chrion+IC line)

You know, I'm interested in learning more about astrocarto, because honestly when you look at different sources they give very different information. I got mine from theFutureMinders.com.

I'm also interested in Dr. Farr's answer about how to calculate this myself. I'd love to get really good with astrocartography.

I have to say, though, Venus on the Midheaven sounds great to me, and you'd have that too sounds like.
